As an east Londoner who started out in life living in a flat overlooking Tower Bridge almost 70 years ago, I truly appreciate this video Ignacio, thank you so much.
These are amazing - my parents were married in St George's Cathedral in 1936. I never realised it had taken so much damage. Thank you for all your hard work.
@jeffreycrawley1216 thank you for your comment. If you search, you'll find traces of the Blitzkrieg everywhere in London and other British cities. Greetings from Argentina.
Thank you, the first one I’ve seen where you go forward and then back again with the picture, I wish more would do this, it just has so much more impact. Great job.
Really well done, what people went through then all over the world we can never begin to even feel that emotion... The generations of today don't know how lucky they are...
Simon Persaud, thank you for your comments. You are right, thank God many of us do not have the experience of having lived through a war and we pray that future generations will not have it either. Greetings from Argentina.
@fundermentalist9473 thank you very much for your comment. I completely agree with your, God bless all the heroes and victims of wars around the world. Greetings from Argentina
Love it, brilliant vid. Worth noting, in the nowadays scene of Tower Bridge the cruiser HMS Belfast which saw a lot of action in WW2 and is now a permanent museum.
masked grappler, thank you very much for watching and for your comment. You are right, HMS Belsfast saw action in numerous battles, highlighting its participation in "Operation Neptune", during the D Day in Normandy. Greetings from Argentina.
Brilliant as always Ignacio, so interesting to see this of London, I go there to cycle once a month and have been to all of the places in this video, some recently. I really enjoy watching these films seeing how the places used to look in the 1940s. I wonder if you will travel to Europe again to do then and now at places you may not of been too. All the best Ignacio to you and your family.
CYCLING SOUTH thank you for your comments. It is a privilege to be able to visit all those wonderful and historical places by bicycle, I congratulate you for doing so. The idea is to show as many places as possible. I have already been to many of them and I have others scheduled for the future. All the best to you too. Greetings from Argentina.
Nick Heath, thank you for your comment. Due to a small difference in the angle of taking the picture, it appears that the tower is not there, but actually it is still in place. Greetings from Argentina.
Absolutely amazing bit of work....Over 1 million houses were destroyed and damaged during the London blitz ....Add to that all the other cities like Glasgow ,Coventry etc.Terrible war .
Crafter, thank you for your comments. You are very kind. No war is good, and World War II showed the worst in humans. We hope something like this never happens again. Thank you very much for your suggestions, I have scheduled to make videos of other British cities, which unfortunately were also very punished during ww2. Greetings from Argentina.

Fascinating. Thanks. How come
That tower (at The Tower) at 1:31 disappears? Was it damaged during the ww2 bombing?

@kenji4330, you are right, but modernity and globalization reach all corners of the world.

What grieves me apart from the loss of life is the destruction of historic buildings and peoples homes.
Rappers57, completely agree with you, wars NEVER leave anything good.
