It’s insane how the communities’ immaturity caused a disaster, you didn’t deserve this and I personally think the map has definitely improved. Just because a map has less details doesn’t make it seem any worse, you can tell the map has more variety in terms of gameplay style than V1. It doesn’t seem like a complete replica of Snowy Stronghold.
Really great to see this map finished! It's been a while since we first started remaking this..
Maybe the actual V2 was the friends we made along the way..

It is pretty cool with that buildup. But a bug I saw was that if you stay in that section, there is no flood to make you keep on going. The only thing that would make you die in that section is the time limit.
I am so sorry about the drama that happened to you Smokey... I personally think that this map is absolutely amazing!

@@InsertName5532 Well, people harrased the map creator bc they think its underdetailed but they didnt stop there, they also did the same thing to crazyblox after making some changes to discord server. Crazyblox left his own community because the abusement he get. He will still update the game but im not sure if he will come back or not (most likely he wont.). Basically people took this map too serious.

I played as soon as a i saw the id, because i knew this would be a good map. Never stop making maps smokey, you never fail to amaze. In addition, Good Job RYalbern, Sharax, and Chris! You all did an incredible job too.
Genuinely one of my favorite maps because of the music, the platforming and aesthetic is beautiful.
Bit late to the party, but I loved playing the updated ver!
I love that zipline break at 0:47, really cool map!
I just completed it in cm and all I can say is that this map is fire, so fun to play, and the detail is so good. I liked the zipline where it breaks in the middle and a spark appears, that was clever. This map just got so much more fun, and I liked the V1 too, but this was an upgrade.
i used to not like dd cuz v1 is just ssh but with 4 buttons but holy hell its so much better than this

This map is LOOKING like an actual 'domain' than a bunch of suburban looking platforms floating- even when the V1 was harder- this map pushes itself into the actual theme. Not a bunch of kids complaining on how this map is "underdetailed"

I played and beat it today, for fun. I thought V2 released a while ago, and didn't realize it released within the same time I began playing. I beat it 30 minutes after release.

The hate and controversy that started over this map is actually fucking terrible. People apparently think just because it's not what they want, then they resort to harassment. Incorrect on so many levels. I am so sorry that happened to you, but Smokey I want you to know personally that this remake is really good and I want you to keep it up! It's been permanent for a while now, I don't know about Desolate Domain V2 though.
@@shovelknight9417yeah it may not be possible because other maps like avm and decaying silo had major updates but are yet to replace the ingame versions

I dislike v2, but mainly because the objects just seem so out of place compared to v1. It's almost like it was rushed.

the difficulty looks like its insane because of the platforms and anything else was insane difficulty
the map is def a lot emptier near the beginning but the ending is really good!
do you know what the word desolate means?
