I love the Redeemer _so_ much. A dedicated gunship where 3, 4 or 5 crew are all viable. It's a pure combat ship, at that. 1 person? Get an Arrow. 2 people? Hurricane. 3 and up? Redeemer. Only bigger dedicated warship would be the Hammerhead, and it starts edging into 'subcapital' territory, with its 7-8 crew.
The 'deemer is my most favorite Multi-crew ship currently. Love piloting it with a full crew of gunners. Perfect for these kinds of events. It definitely fits it's roll.
Great video! I do have two suggestions. 1). When using slow firerate cannons (Lightstrikes, FL33, Tarantulas, etc) set them to stagger fire. It sounds a lot cooler. Instead of Thoom________Thoom________Thoom______Thoom it becomes Thoom____Thoom____Thoom____Thoom with two cannons and Thoom__Thoom__Thoom__Thoom with four cannons. I set this as a Keybind using the Delete key because it wasn't being used for anything else and Delete made sense as it is for guns. The Stagger fire all makes for a higher percentage chance of hitting the target (my opinion). 2). The second is about ship loadouts. I haven't tried this recently, but I have in the past put two different guns on manned turrets: one energy and one ballistic. This give the turret harder hitting ballistic ammo and weaker, but infinite ammo energy weapons. So in this instance the Redeemer could have had 1 Lightstrike and 1 AD5B(?) gun on the top turret and the bottom turret. Same total damage output for the ship, but neither turret risks running out of ammo. Obviously you want to keep the projectile velocities the same. The turret gunner also needs to assign the guns to different weapon groups.
as much as it sucked for you at the time, the fact that turrets can be picked off like that is awesome. Makes the game both more fun and challenging as a gunner
Good overview of the mission Kate, I've tried it once with just one other player and it wouldn't progress past the bunkers so good to see it is moving along. Have to laugh though, what is the most terrifying thing to encounter amongst all this combat? ..... invisible asteroids and an asteroid filed on the dark side of the moon!
This looked quite fun indeed! With a friend, we only tested the first stage and like it very much too. We are looking forward to try the other phases! Thanks for the video and as always great choice of background musics!
I am so excited to see multicrew evolve! Your crew works together well and has fun doing it. Hope to join you on one of your adventures soon. I keep seeing you all in discord but, you know, that anxiety monster rears its ugly head :( But I always get excited when I see a new video out!
It's called a spork. Not a fork. :P Good to see the Redeemer getting Redeemed. Because PvE is where the fun's actually at. (edit) Wow, turrets can be shot off, and the occupant gone? Game changer! Definitely need the physicalised armour, sooner than later.
There ARE invisible and 2-dimensional asteroids, but my guess for those impacts where you don't outright crash but seem to get hit by stuff is that it's space junk, either also invisible due to bug or just too small and dark to easily see.
Personally, that's why I don't use the Redeemer anymore. It seems to happen every time we crew it and take it out. For PVE, I much prefer the A2. Size 5 guns for pilot and friends, similar shields and hp as Redeemer with slightly better maneuverability. 200 SCU cargo doesn't hurt either. PVP, you'd have a major problem defending the top of the ship. But in PVE, it is awesome. And no one dies because the turrets are remote. And when the A2 gets a major torque imbalance, it doesn't dramatically impact the flight of the ship.
Just a little hint and I don't know if it applies to other ships. The Redeemers turret guns can be different, you can have one repeater and one canon on a turret. This makes it a lot easier to deal with fighters and capitals, the repeater also keeps you more on target and since both are 700m/s you lead remains the same.
Yeah I’ve noticed that sense I started playing star citizen that the majority of the npc ship pilots will absolutely even at the beginning of these missions go kamakazi on my ass for no apparent reason at all!
Love my Redeemer. Murderous firepower when fully crewed. A terrifying little porcupine of death. Also looks mean like a Hind attack helicopter

I am very surprised and impressed yall survived with only half of your ship still intact that was awesome Kate

Always love to see these multi-player ships in action. Gotta stagger those laser cannons!

Amazing story telling as always Kate.
Cool. Some of those battles were looking really hectic!
It would be cool to come to these battles after with a salvage ship! You could set a marker on the star-map and return to clean up.
As of today, you can do that with any ship that has an interior. Drop a box mission box as a marker.
Rock, paper, scissors. It's quite cool to see how great the redeemer is as a medium gunship against the gunship of all gunships; the Hammerhead.
It's called a spork. Not a fork. :P

That's what happens when you bring a fork to a laser-cannon fight. 😶
Can't wait to do the mission on live
me too, I am really curious what the later stages are like :)
Well that's a target rich environment.
loving ya'll getting some time in the sky 😄
@katie we didnt have any mistakes but happy accidents
Been a long time since I've encountered invisible asteroids
Bringing a bit more depth to the verse!

Would be cool if they ran this event into 3.23, so we can really see the difference of master modes on a large scale, even as a solo
Really interesting outcome with the impacts and ship damage could affect gameplay.

Mirai in Redeemer madness ;)

23mins in u called it a fork, as a proud spork owner that's a sin xD

omg redeemer is a beast...flyng tank
Redeemer my beloved
The ursa wheel that stops spinning whenever it loses contact with the ground is triggering me.
but when you do a AI mission, can you getting attacked by PVP online players too steal your mission or not ?
imagine all the scrap for the reclaimer lot of hammerheads jeez.
Nice game play
Amazing ❤😊
this tin looks suspiciously like ... Chili 😜

this was a really good ride-along , engaging .
Players can only join UEE?
Ingeresting
I guess remote turrets > than manned turrets…
perseus will dominate over polaris
right but it doesnt have things like a medbay or hangar so it isnt a 'carrack repalcement' like the polaris will probably be ;)
