Another BRILLIANT video. You guys are GENIUSES! You should DEFINITELY start a PATREON page and have your restorations there at normal speed with commentary of what you are doing as you work. I'd definitely pay! Seriously Think about it!!
Where do I begin? The skill, the craftsmanship, the attention to detail, the precision…. Just wow… all in flip flops too! Is no one going to mention just how clean this gentleman’s hands are too! Subscribed. Bravo.
Now this is what you call true restoration. Good job brother..සුපිරි... This is purely Sri Lankan talent. He is Sri Lankan. AX1 is a very popular motorcycle among Sri Lankan bikers. Hence the spare parts are easy to come by. Even though its out of production by Honda, it still lives in Sri Lanka.
Supun Samarakoon talent to be able to rebuild it but I didn’t see a torque wrench used once. It’s very important to torque those bolts to a specific amount..
This is one of Honda's finest bikes ever built, strong, reliable and incredibly comfortable. You guys did a perfect job restoring and improving it, congrats!
What a beauty, I have a Honda NX 125 from the year 89 that they bought me and is waiting one day to be restored too, greetings from Mendoza, Argentina ...
Lol. I wouldn’t call setaline torches, a sand blaster and a full on auto body paint setup basic tools. Not to mention the welder, bearing packer or heavy machinery.
Wow you did an amazing job. It looks better now than it did brand new like when it was first purchased. The blue plastic and white frame is a perfect combination.
Nicely done!!! I mean, the lack of a protected painting area was a bit bothersome, but it came out looking great and seems to run amazingly! Loved every minute of this video!
In their case living in a more secluded area, I give them props for doing such a good job for working with what they have they are excellent painters with not as good paint guns as what a professional would have. Props to you and your friends!
*Wow! This is one of the best videos I've ever watched on your channel! Great job bro! I have watched all your videos! Proud to see a Sri Lankan guy make valuable content the way most people like*
Boss level restoration. Even without the fancy equipment most restorator have, you handle to do it. And most importantly you are using safety gear when is necessary. Great job!
I have the same bike and did a body restoration, the toughest part was getting body parts that needed changing, including stickers, cables inner headlamps and bulb holders, etc, which had to be bought online and shipped from various locations in Asia. So seeing the full rebuild of the motorcycle especially the engine with the new parts was amazing. A big well done, as all was done with very basic stuff and mainly outdoors.
Well that was impressive and took dedication and Mechanical skill. Well done. I DID notice that the Guy couldn't lay down an even spray layer, and the gas welder nozzle was too close to the job, hence the sparks. Also, when working on an engine clean it THOROUGHLY before opening it, this save ⅔ of the cleaning time later. Finally my tips when spray painting wheels. Clamp a bicycle wheel by its hub bolt or drill a hole on a flat work surface to take it. Place wheel to be painted on its horizontal plane and revolve the painted wheel on it under your spray gun or can. Shine your work light over the shoulder of the arm you spray with so it lights where you see. .
Hey, first off, you fellas did a bang up job! I'm not trying to criticizing your craft in any negative way. Second, I did notice that the gas tank fill neck was not covered for any of the painting. That is something that anyone watching needs to be sure to do. No... A small amount of micro over spray won't catastrophically destroy an engine lol. However repeated spraying can build up a little film in the tank which if enough is in there, will absolutely cause a clogged fuel filter. Again, the bike looks phenomenal and I very much appreciate your professional level attention to detail gentleman! Keep up the great work and you definitely got a new subscriber lol. I've already shared your video with a couple of friends. Stay safe and stay healthy out there everyone!
Very nice job, a little needed improvement when it comes to colour and such, but also true to the original. And a honda is always worth the time and money. Well done!
