@@AnimeSage4 I was there when Shippuden ended. This movie was the gap that, aside from the novels, that connected Naruto and Hinata as a couple. 100% canon. Yeah man. Can’t get through to everyone. Appreciate the video.
Being canon only makes this movie worse, it is just as bad as any of the filler movies, A forgetable villain that makes no sense, an absurd simplistic premise that makes fun of itself. Naruto being dumber than ever, Shikamaru more useless than Sakura part 1. Sai I didn't even notice he was there, Hinata fell into the damsel in distress with plot no jutsu to help her. The movie retcons the anime original scenes with Hinata and Naruto as kids, but worse it retcons Naruto's feelings towards Sakura Ignoring the original reason behind his rivalry with Sasuke, to fit the forced romance plot with Hinata.
I mean Genjutsu in Naruto has always being the thing used to provoke emotions hidden or not, In Naruto's case He forget's stuff when he goes in Kurama cloak, so!
It is if u consider Boruto the serie inexistent cause there is no mention of Karma and stuff in the movie so if u want to end the Naruto franchise and consider Boruto nng not canon than yes the movie becomes canon

I get that but to be honest I wasn't a fan of that element being in the movie
@@AnimeSage4 yeah but not today but tomorrow Naruto would eventually remember Hinata's proposal. Genjutsu just made that process Instant
