I didn't mean she was shy. Fidgety, playing with your hair= nervous. And people react that way, becouse when you see someone stressed out and uncomfortable like that, you get uncomfortable as well. Yes, people should be more compassionate, but that's showbiz for you.
Plus I get like that as well. I think they just shouldn't force actors to do all of these interviews, if they don't feel comfortable.

Yes I agree with Kristen, it annoys me when people act like coming out is a thing of the past like you still have to come out, yes its more open but its still scary to do as its just opening up about who you are and not knowing exactly how people will react. Its just awkward and I mean its hard to open up about some things.

What is often not realised (speaking as a lesbian in her mid-forties) is that coming out isn't a one time only thing. We are often having to explain that we're not straight because people make assumptions.
And then _some_ str8 people complain that we're making a big thing about it when it's their attitudes and beliefs that are the problem.
I think its more important to stop talking about coming out as if it is an experience that is similar for different people. Some people really struggle with it, while others (like me) didnt have any problems at all. Sometimes people assume too much based on their own experiences.
@@whitegamma5106 Thats true, it is different for everyone like just because someone finds it easy does not mean its easy for everyone and the opposite as well. Everyone will experience it differently as there are so many factors that go into it.

Mackenzie is the best actor in the movie. She can act. And her character, Harper does not deserve that much hate. Sure, some of her actions may be not okay. But coming out to yourself and others is the hardest thing.

Not gonna lie, i got Hulu just so i could watch this movie LOL. I loved it so much it is now one of my favorite holiday movies of all time. The ensemble cast was so great and I loved the story between Kristen and Mackenzie's characters, and who doesn't love Dan??? This movie hit home in so many ways.

If across cultures, the "norm", the assumed basic position, was bisexuality, in that this relationship my be with someone of the same gender, but the next might be opposite and who knows after that...if our expectation of a pairing was centered around "connection" rather than gender, then there would be no homophobia of any kind...maybe in time, in some distant future, humanity will finally grow up.
Perhaps as Kristen is out so her words are more connecting to the audience of the movie? Not that they are disregarding Mackenzie. Kristen can speak her experience that the audience can relate to.

It’s actually called a palo santo stick... used just like you would a (bundle?) of sage, only it’s a stick and not leafy, so the smoke isn’t as soothing as the scent of the wood is before it’s burned to cleanse a room/space/etc, for me anyway. So it’s just another scent and method of burning to cleanse the area.
I know this because I just got one from my yoga teacher as a gift after my back surgery. She also brought chocolate. I’m a fan of the chocolate more ;)

I do not think wer'e at point yet, where people do not have to come out in regards to societal acceptance at all, however, as someone who never officially just came out but simply lived my life and let people find out naturally, I also recognize that everything wont be truly normanlized until everyone can just be who they are without having to make a huge announcement as if it is wierd or any different than the alternative
