    How clever! It looks so simple, but I never would have thought of it 😁. Thank you!

      It took me a few tries to find a method that wasn't a total pain, haha! I hope you enjoy :)

    This legitimately blew my mind. I've been wanting to make socks with ruffles while still using my 9" circulars, but the patterns I've seen use DPNs. I am SO excited to try this out!!! You're a genius.

    Love the video. Any idea how many more stitches you added to create a ruffle? Thank you so much for this video

      It’s a free pattern linked in the description- But just double your stitches for your sock to knit the ruffle, then k2tog the whole ruffle to get your same number of sock sts

    Can I use the same sock yarn to make the ruffle as I use for the socks? Or does it have to be lace weight yearn to work out? Thanks so much for this 💖💐🙏

      You can use the same yarn but it will be thicker + heavier than the mohair which would change the look a little bit ☺️

    What would be different than picking up stitches and making ruffles after the garment is done??

    • @allisonmarieknits
      @allisonmarieknits  Год назад

      This is just an alternative technique so you don’t need to pick up stitches

    Would this technique be the same for toe up socks?

    I’m over here killing myself trying to do this magic loop! I give up! I’m making them for my daughter and her sock cuff doesn’t fit on the 9 inch circular. I broke my brain trying to do this magic loop and I literally can’t figure it out😢

      Magic loop definitely takes some getting used to - have you tried DPNs?

      I’m back at it determined to make this happen! It’s too cute not to make them for a 4 year old!
