- I'm always incredibly impressed by Venezianico, they have amazing command over new materials, design and colours. This Nereide takes that to a whole new level. For under £600, it's incredible.

The dial looks spectacular but I think a colour matched bezel insert would be the icing on the cake.
Theyve gone that way on a few models. I can't lie, not sure how colouring tungsten would go
Is that your wife in your profile pic?
It looks like a stormy blue sky. Venezianico really do make a pretty watch! This will make me trip in the street because I will constantly stare at the dial haha! Hope you are well Jason!
As a side comment this is up there with the Redentore. The coin dial and the ultra black are both very beautiful! These guys are like the Alfa Romeo of Italian watches. Beautiful and practical. I think they make astonishingly pretty stuff!
I think its insane the quality they produce at such affordable prices. This one has had me staring at it for weeks now, I'm completely in love with it and the dial 😍 I do have a soft spot for a good Alfa too
@@JasonTheWatchGuy You sir are a man of fine taste haha!
It’s sharp but I kinda like a date window.
Nice review. Realistic macro shots after handling and wearing the watch without cleaning it up, with lots of lint and finger prints. The finger prints on the bracelet center links (that you show so well), along with too much bling from those links and the tungsten dial insert (and the butterfly clasp) quickly led me to get rid of the bracelet for a rubber strap on my “Ceratung” GMT. The Venezianico divers offer a sometimes jarring juxtaposition of dress watch materials like the polished bracelet and semi precious dial materials with the case of a tool watch. A bit over the top- like wearing a tuxedo top with shorts and dress shoes. I do think Venezianico offer good value if you add up the materials they offer, but you have to like bling, to the point that they are a bit like an upscale Invicta. They will be helped by making the new 39 mm version, though.
These watches are pretty special. The new amethyst dial one is absolutely stunning.
I own this exact watch reference. I purchased it back in February of 2024 with a code that brought the price down below $600usd. Not normally a fan of butterfly bracelets and male end links, but the Canova bracelet conforms to my 6&3/4" wrist perfectly. I always prefer a 39mm over a 40mm watch.
Perfect right? I usually love to complain about them but this one is spot on for me
Nice watch, their logo is very reminiscent of Vacheron Constintin I think, I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing.
I think the logo really suits their brand and the Italian nature behind them
This looks sharp. Love that dial. Thanks Jason.
Agreed! The dial really does add a special element
Gorgeous looking watch definitely gives me Zelos vibes ... Not a bad thing since Zelos always sells out and is hard to get.
Definitely see the comparison! Their limited runs always sell out, often really desirable releases
well done on the pronunciation mate :D
Had to get a voice note from the owners for the brand name!
I really love that dial, the size would work on my 6.25” wrist I think. I love their newly released amethyst more though, but that one is 42mm. I am hoping they re-release it ion smaller sizes as I just loveeee that one! Thanks for the review Jason
"Ding Dong"
Not a fan of butterfly clasps but suspect it was a conscious design choice in that barely any of these will hit the water and this clasp maintains a more dress like appearance....can't fault it at all....truly stunning....🏴⌚🏴⌚
Overall an incredible watch. It takes a lot to get into my top wearable pieces with my collection but this just waltzed in no problem
@@JasonTheWatchGuy they've really nailed it, the down side for them of course is how do they top it moving forward....really looking forward to seeing what they do next....
I've been told a few materials they've thought of using, definitely some exciting prospects in the future, I just dont know how they'll do it
how's the tungsten so far? does it stand scratching just fine?
Fantastic review, my friend. I love Venezianico. I own the Nereide Tungsteno Blue Dial and Ultrablack 40 mm, and both are incredibly well made and gorgeous. This brand surely delivers at a good value point, too. Customer service is also outstanding. Very nice folks.
I've dealt with the owners and media team myself and they're brilliant people! Always super helpful and responsive to me
@JasonTheWatchGuy Alessandro is my business account contact there, and he is the nicest guy 👍
I like the cross logo too
It's very fitting to their brand I think
@@JasonTheWatchGuy I believe Tudor Rose, IXDAO and Thorn have similar logos ... There are probably others too.
Is it just me that thinks it looks rough?
The rehaut isn't great.
If it were Swiss it would have a Swiss movement and say Swiss Made on the dial. And it might be the same price or cheaper. Think Glycine and Tissot
Glycine Diver with an automatic movement comes in at around 1050 CHF and Tissot automatic diver at £770. These are both with standard dials and bezels.
Glycine combat sub costs about 350 dollars
@@JasonTheWatchGuy much cheaper at Ashford or Jomashop
