True about gouges not coming from new sharp,I found a big difference after I sharpened my new bowl gouge...

Think of it in the same way of a new computer. It comes with factory settings. You need to put your apps/programmes onto it.

Thank you guys. Got two gouges that need this treatment. Most channels somehow seem to skip the important info either in the visual or verbal explanations. You guys always seem to have the visual and verbal info that is needed for me to understand.

What size spindle gouge would that one be? Looks ½ or 3/8", just not sure. It sure works a treat once you've tuned it up! Thanks.
