Guys ...don’t want to come across arrogant .. but come on 🤦♂️ there’s over 60 years of knowledge between the two bricklayers ...do u really think we wouldn’t of covered the path up if it was staying. A double drop curb is being installed and the whole tarmac is being reinstated instructed by the local council . Corr blimey 🤷♂️
Maybe the owner of the house has bought a Rolls Royce, but can’t afford the petrol! All about show nowadays… great videos and great banter. I’m sitting in Iceland today (the country, not the freezer store!)
What I like is the fact you don’t constantly pick up the lie detector ( level ) every two minutes !!! Jesus I’ve worked with so called trowels who don’t seem to be able to put the level down . Nice job hope you have some painkillers for the back after that days graft
Great video and you can see the concentration needed to build the corners up Mortar looks great you have a nice team there👌🎥🧱 you must be paying the boy too much I thought it was Dr Dre loading up for a second 😂👌Nice to see you back in action it’s always a pleasant watch 👍👌
Mate you say it as you mean it, I’ve been a Brickie since 1984 worked with them all strawberry nose geezers too/// you explain as I would// nitty gritty getting over problems, the footings typical/// I make sure they pay me to be there in the day insist on levelling concrete yourself///. Collision brickwork to much profiles load speeded up new work bit boring// I’m glad found your site, much more real , try keep it like this farther vamped up videos Love brickwork Joe
HI COULD I ASK IS THERE A TECHNICAL REASON THE WAY YOU BUTTER THE BRICK ENDS AS YOU HAVE GAPS IN THE PURPS THANKS IM STILL LEARNING WATCHING YOU AS YOU ARE IN THE PREMIERE LEAGUE OF BRICKYS
Always do my own footings if at all possible as if you start right it makes for a easy job and why add extra work hope you charged him extra for cutting that split course, good job no profiles or pic and dip you could be a Irish bricklayer not a lot of profiles used here in fact it's quite rare to see a profile or pic and dip 👍
Nice job good banta shame about the groundwork sometimes better being onsite when they pour the concrete. Groundworkers don’t give a s h I t if they ain’t building the wall
So knowledgeable unbelievable u ...u must of sat at the front of the class . Do u not think we would of covered the path ..the whole lot had a new double drop curb going in with all new reinstatement works . The muk ..the lads 15 and learning ...also the sand was really fine and course which would effect the muk durability ,there’s over 60 years experience between me and me pal Use knowledge b4 u comment
@@thetraditionalbricklayer9650 I not ever way you don’t drop that much at all I never drop mortar it uses more stuff witch stuff is time and money you dropped about 2 barrows of muck all saying not hard to drop that much
😂😂 "got a bird?...Any pictures?"😂😂 love it.. Something I also say all the time to the new lads working with me 😂😂 fantastic work make really tidy job! Quite refreshing seeing your take on bricklaying make! Keep up the videos, just subscribed👍👍🍻🍻 By any chance did you know a footballer called Craig Rammage? Use to play about the same time you did..you and him have such a similar personality 😂😂
Maybe it would be better for the bricklayers to do their own footings, but they never want to...probably not enough money for them.....Jesus state of the footpath
When you say it had to be 600, was that planning/ council that put that requirement? I’m guessing it was. I think it would look silly if it was 600 at one end and 1200/1500 height at the other I had to have some splays done on a new build we built and council said max height was 450?( I forgot now) but anyways we were on the hill too and my pals who were the brickies said the same thing, but we kept them both at same height from ground level just in case the council pulled us up on it to redo it, tbf it looks nice Enjoying the videos mate👍
The colour of the muck matches the pavement perfectly
😂
I was thinking the same lol
It's a beautiful skill to watch is bricklaying!
A tidy site is a rare sight!
As a roofer I always use to bucket gauge my muck but now we have roofers ready remix which is a result 👍🏻

Scientific work ? Jesus that sounds really difficult multiples of 75mm it’s like a nsa mission

@24.40 “he’s got 725 that’s gauge “
🤔…..good vid as always 👏🏻
how does that 13 pillar in middle of the wall tie in in ?
Are you going to be putting some sort of capping or brick on edge design on those piers afterwards to finish it off? Cracking work
Yes mate coping stones
Should cover the tarmac
Why is the middle pillar on the lower side 3 courses above the soldier course when alll the others are 2 above?
Nice job good banta shame about the groundwork sometimes better being onsite when they pour the concrete. Groundworkers don’t give a s h I t if they ain’t building the wall

Hope your well pal

Nice job. Any reason for the music? I’d rather listen to you work
Scientific lol😂😂
Only thing that is a bit dodgy is your care for the path worth covering it up in future bud👍

Don’t bother they are terrible quality now.
Go Rose you won’t regret it lovely trowel
Brick on edge would of got over that footing.
It wouldn’t pal i did the footings and left me levels at home so used a for sale sign as a tamp and kinda guessed the levels with me eyes
You would of seen it
