    I didn't realize Aulstralia was so racist until this late of an era. Globalization has shone the light of accountability on the racist pockets of the West that persisted that long. Everyone in the UK and New Zealand agrees that 'Mahatma Cote' was a racist caricature.

    Australia was pretty racist, all the way up to 2010 or so. Much more racist than Britain, the US, or Canada. You would have to go back to the 1950s to find something this racist on US television.

      John Candy did pretty much the same racist Indian caricature (complete with blackface) in a mainstream film in 1989 and the U.K had the black & white minstrel show until 1978, so let's not overstate the case
