The Aunty: "your son has the devil in him"
Also the Aunty: *cackles like a witch after witnessing his epic exit*
She was mocking her sister lol
I've lost three cousins living in West Africa to AIDS in the past 10 years. Even today, their mother refuses to accept the fact that her children were HIV positive. So sad because if they were tested when they were first showing signs of illness they could have received medical support (plentiful and cheap) but instead she took them to pastors who told her what she wanted to hear.
Condolences. Sometimes, relatives, despite their love, hurt you.
The stigma around it in Africa was what killed many more than the disease ,but it was a Terrible time families left with just the grandparents and the first norms,so many children abandoned, the poverty that continued to drag these families, things are improving but still those days haunt many.
That's horrible! I'm so sorry to hear that happened in your family. Stigma like this is so much more harmful when it keeps people from accessing available treatment.
A mother like that should be in prison.
I'm really sorry for your losses, and I don't want to intrude but how did they all catch it?
Best introducing of a character in a long time! Instantly loved him 👑
Just watched the whole series....heartbreaking, gut wrenching, hilarious. Quite brilliant writing, always found Mr Davies to be an extremely watchable talent. The character portrayals by exceptionally talented actors makes this production amazing. I am in tears.
Remember it’s not just a serial. People, young people are still dying of AIDS in Britain,Europe and the USA now! Volunteer because every government has cut spending on AIDS welfare and research. Studies show young men with HIV/AIDS feel more ashamed, isolated, lonely and depressed than young men in the 80’s. In Britain AIDS kills two young men a week that’s 104 a year, can you imagine how many still die in huge countries like the USA
@@CashelOConnolly but back then it was a illness that nobody was aware

He was the best character of the show
But his dad comes full circle at the end
@@notsogreatami9176 they are from Nigeria
I'm the Auntie that just sits there at the table cackling 😆
Rosco was the bravest of the characters. He faced up to who is was, who he wanted to be. He was also one of the luckiest in this series.
“Piss off avenue” 😂
London W fuck!!
It’s Roscoe slapping his daddy’s face for me!!! I cheered so hard when I saw that part in the show. Honestly it’s been a long while since I’ve cried laughed kiki’d and been enraged all while watching the same show.
Omg the address 🤣😂😂😭 I can’t wait for this omg
And this is why Roscoe is my favourite character. He’s so funny 🤣
Same
My favourite scene of his was when he discovered he was HIV negative, and he said "That's not fair, I've had everybody!" And he deserves a medal for mixing black man's p*ss into Thatcher's coffee ☕
I was howling with laughter... then he bitch slapped his dad lmfao
I binge watched this last night. Never laughed and cried so much, fantastic show and love the characters and story, La

Another gem from Russell T Davies. , deeply moving wonderfully played out by an amazing cast along with a absolutely banging 80s soundtrack I just watched all episodes back to back.

I had the oppression of forced religion from birth, right the way through my childhood and found this scene with Roscoe exhilarating!
The adress bruh i died
After this scene I immediately knew I would love this series and I wasn’t disappointed.
😂... When he announces he's off... Literally one of the best scenes I've ever seen! 💖
Roscoe: *peaces out*

Dad: *furious*
Mother: *Ashamed*
Aunty: *Pissing herself*
Uncle: *incensed*
The little slaps just sealed this scene for me🤣🤣🤣😭😭

Run and never go back! Be free!!! 💗
Such a brilliant drama and great actors. And the sound track is amazing. 💖
Is like to say different times but I'm not sure that it would be correct.
Why ?
Unfortunately still going on in far too many cultural circles and countries. In many cases, due to outdated interpretations of the Bible from colonial times. Hence an enlightened church I know in London continues to support asylum seekers arriving in the UK having fled countries where the penalty for being LGBT+ is imprisonment or, so often, execution.
Also attempts to "pray the gay away" - even here in the UK - is so prevalent, that there are campaigns in a number of countries to outlaw conversion therapy (its legal name).
I nearly pissed myself when he burst through the door
Saw this scene in the first ep and knew i had to finish the series in one go
This show was brilliant. I laughed, I laughed hard. I cried, I cried hard...
The laughing Auntie always creases me up. Excellent scene.
Just binged IAS well written by Russell T Davies, outstanding cast and performances . I love the intro to the 3 characters Colin, Roscoe & Richie in ep 1 and watch their journey through the decade.
I love these camp guys who just DGAF 😄 and when he said he'd pissed in Margaret thacher's coffee and stomped off 🤣 brilliant show
What a great sister
Roscoe is such a great character. Just an amazing cast all round
So glad this clip is on RUclips!! Absolutely hilarious..! The look of shock on their faces and his goodbye speech!!
One of the best scenes in the show, I need More of this, please. 🥺
"The Pit of Sodomy" sounds like a brilliant nightclub, tbh.
💯🤣👍🏻
The price of drinks is outrageous
That laugh!
Reminds me of my granny (rest her soul). When something was hilarious, she would be in hysterics for ages, rolling all over the place. Grandad (R.I.P) learned to just wait it out because if he complained, granny puts the smack down and carries on laughing.
Jamaican families. 🤷🏾♀️
Aunty was here for it 🤣🤣🤣
The final scene was hilarious 😂
How was Jill comforting a man dying of Aids hilarious ?
@@rick182z I’m talking about him dressing up and running out of the house like that. Hey buddy they are all actors so, stop turning this into something else!
Legit, that’s how it should be done! For anyone with African parents and family that don’t accept them! F em! Your braver than any of them for just being who you are! Never take the abuse! Stand up and be proud of yourself! Because the rest of us will all stand with you! You just gotta fined us!! X
It's said to say something like this.. What do yall want parents to do honestly? Except something that against what they believe it has nothing to do with judgement.. Just like it took time to come out give your parents time to except vs forcing it on them and then turn around and say the abandon/rejected you..
I'm really happy that we did get a happy ending out of this
This entrance blew me away!! Ab fab xx
"23 PISS OFF Avenue, London W FUCK" does give Patsy for some reason 😂😂😂😂
23 piss off Avenue, turn left at "drop dead junction lol
Roscoe was so funny and cheeky! This scene was hysterical.....but the bit where he pissed in Maggie Thatchers coffee was even funnier.....‘I pissed in the coffee. Black mans piss!’
So cheeky!!!
As a Nigerian who has endured something like this,
Pretend, Marry a woman and ruin her life.
I am happy the UK has giving me an opportunity to live.
Thank you.
Are you allowed to not marry in Nigeria? If you are a man? Or could you get away with a sexless marriage? In some cultures women arent meant to have any libido
@@nifralo2752 I'm Nigerian, and I can confirm they HATE gays there. But most seem to believe straight marriage is the cure, which it isn't.

Sadly some of the AIDS stigma still revolves around religious families. I grew up Catholic with a mother who "respected gay lifestyle, but doesn't support it". Let's just say she thought it was a phase. Although I don't think 7-8 years of bisexuality is a "phase" mother. When she found out I was sexually active with other women, she yelled at me saying not to run back to her when I "catch AIDS". It broke my heart, but I guess that's all I can expect from her. I'm not on drugs, and I protect myself. I also get tested as frequently as I am active, so I believe I'm doing the right thing. I'm also not promiscuous.
