Telegram is the best. WhatsApp can use signal encryption but it's Facebook family so, no thank you. I love you videos. Can you please tell us how to be secure against spam mails and viruses through emails? :)
Thanks for watching! Once you're on spam lists, it's difficult to be removed. :( The trick is to only use your personal email for tasks that won't share your email. Open several emails and use each for certain tasks.
Thank you very much for your comparison. Telegram and WhatsApp are both banned in China. Signal is the one I can use without VPN. If you buy a China national wide, or so called domestic version of cellphone running android, you are confined to only use WeChat . Sometimes I call these domestic android cellphone WeChat phone. WeChat is known as their unsecurity and slow response speed and unoptimized voice and video call qualities. I currently only use wechat as colleague chat for company business, phone pay and viewing public channels delivered by my interested companies.
From a professional hacker perspective, go with Telegram. Telegram has admitted multiple times fighting against companies trying to get access to other people's data, and so far they haven't lost the privacy fight.
You have to study more before doing videos, you lied in a lot of points, you confused encryption with e2e encryption, you said that in features WhatsApp is similar to telegram (???) And the fact thas WhatsApp have e2e encription is useless when it have 2 known backdoors, (it can change encription keys and add listeners to groups) In security, privacy and features Telegram is better than whatsapp, but in security, signal is better. The only thing i miss in Telegram is e2e group chats, that's the reason signal is better in that point (but not WhatsApp)
I tried all messaging apps & Signal is the best! Messaging concentrated, means no channels no people nearby no stories. Also no online/writing status bullshit But Signal still needs enhancements like adding Bots for business, broadcast feature & a direct download from their website to avoid censorship, an app built-in updater with notification service
Wire is very close to Signal... both have very slight pro's and con's, but are almost neck in neck with each other. I like how Wire is outside of the US. They both have almost the same encryption protocol as well.
Great video man! Have been reading up on this last few hours, and have heard what I read. Could have just came straight here :D But maybe wouldn't understand it at full, so, still happy.
I am not satisfied with any of these messengers, I am not 100% sure of their security. But I am confident in Utopia, for me it is the most secure and multifunctional messenger at the moment
Got 2 questions. Let's say I download Signal. Do 2 different people have to call through Signal for it logs to be private or it starts private from my end? Also, when a person who doesn't have Signal calls through their default messaging app will it still register secured or not, even if I just have Signal downloaded and not the other person?
Great video. I really enjoyed the comparison. I currently use WhatsApp but would prefer to use Signal but unfortunately not many people know about it. I also find that most people (including me with some things) will choose convenience over security and privacy
Solid Video, great Explanations. Personal Space from the MetaData Universe has gotten absolutely out of hand in my opinion. While i use all 3 of these, I still feel like I am being watched/monitored. Not necessarily out of paranoia, I just like my conversations to be with who I am talking to. While we just chat and chill, and nothing of ground breaking news, we like to keep our conversations between ourselves. I don't even think there really is such of thing as Privacy anymore, more just trying to not let people know too much. Really enjoyed the video.
```Strengths and Flaws of every app mentioned:``` *Flaws of every app:* • WhatsApp: Can't Trust Facebook. • Telegram: Most people don't use it so it feels kinda lonely over here. • Signal: Same condition in comparison to Telegram but a little bit buggy. *Strength of every app:* • WhatsApp: Majority of people use it. • Telegram: Super secure and fluid UI. • Signal: Good for people who don't chat much and are not into custom made UI.
too bad all of them need BOTH users to have them. Really sucks trying to explain this to my grandma who can barely open the app store or other technologically illiterate people
It is a shame :( I’m grateful the three people I talk with the most switched to Signal! Not everyone has this luxury but it can only get better from here 😛
Techlore true, you know of any messaging apps that allow some level of privacy or security even when only 1 person has it? Like even a little is better than nothing
Not that I know of. Everything requires both ends to use proper encryption or else the entire encryption is broken. You’re as secure as your weakest link, so you’re wasting your time. There is Silence SMS which will encrypt SMS messages, but this still requires two people to use Silence.
The best we've got for the easiest integration is Signal, where you can send them an invite link for the non tech savvy person to click and easy enough to walk them through to click a few more to get it up and running. It takes two to tango and it's just the nature of how it works ... only to have one side encrypted is unrealistic, unless the default platform (which it does not have) is built to have this feature.
Very good comparison bro..my question to you is..u said signal is the most secure and privacy level is high..but can LAW ENFORCEMENT be able to peek through the client messages if they ever wanted? Like FBI ..CID...OR GOVT.
I've used both WhatsApp and Telegram before with my preference being WhatsApp. That being said I also use NordVPN and to save money on bills, a prepaid cell phone. A relative of mine uses WhatsApp presently, but absolutely refuses to input their real name anywhere on the Internet using a name they prefer to their legal one instead. Their cell phone is a line on an account of a different person so their name shows up nowhere on the bill. Also their cell phone was bought as a gift in cash, so really any metadata collected wouldn't be accurate because of those above actions taken. Additionally, they don't have any social media accounts and use anonymous search engines on the few searches they do. As for me, I'm not a part of social media either not interested in such things only using the internet to watch videos here on RUclips not even going on email, websites, or search engines at all in fact. As far as subscription purchases, apart from using anonymous methods of payment, requests for subscription birthday or holiday gifts is always helpful as well, and often a more affordable alternative to gifts in general.
Telegram is very similar to whatsapp, if they have more security than whatsapp that makes Telegram a better app, I don't like signal because you can't se last seen and that's a very important feature to me. Telegram is exactly like whatsapp but with better security!!
I recommend Telegram over Whatsapp, sonce facebook is already too powerful. giving your datas to telegram is less harmful in my opinion. and is there an update for Messengers, inkluding xmpp, matrix, briar, and threema?
I prefer using using proprietary encryption like MTProto because the company won't release its code for peer review because it's just that damn good. I mean, it's not like they have something to hide from us, right? We can trust them like Microsoft and RSA.
@Techlore "According to documents filed by the Department of Justice, Signal’s encrypted messages can be intercepted from iPhone devices when those Apple devices are in a mode called partial AFU". Any comment on this?
you didn t mention that whatsapp prompts you every now and then to agree to backup to google ALL your chats...NOT ENCRYPTED end to end. you don t do it? get ready to loose all your chats everytime you change phone :) that s a big point against privacy imho
I'm curious, what are the complaints about Signal's group chats? I've never had a significant problem. Signal is definitely a less polished experience than the other apps, but I've mostly had minor bugs. (Though it would be all kinds of nice if the app grouped incoming messages and notified you once rather than drop a pile on you in rapid succession and make your phone wig out.)
I use whatsapp bcoz I have no choice, All my friends and classmates and later on my workmates and my family members all use whatsapp, so I need to use whatsapp to be in touch with them, very very few of them has telegram and none of the has signal, in fact, this is the first time I'm hearing about it
do u know what is the most frustrating issue with Signal? their desktop application. It's truly terrible, extremely slow and buggy and also with some security issues as visible phone numbers, one list of contacts without any customization
iunlock guru I'll take iMessage for $500
Telegram is the best messaging app on earth!!!!
It is awesome
Yes I agree
Wire, it's end-to-end encrypted unlike Telegram.
Telegram is the best. WhatsApp can use signal encryption but it's Facebook family so, no thank you.
I love you videos.
Can you please tell us how to be secure against spam mails and viruses through emails? :)
Thanks for watching! Once you're on spam lists, it's difficult to be removed. :( The trick is to only use your personal email for tasks that won't share your email. Open several emails and use each for certain tasks.
Thank you very much for your comparison. Telegram and WhatsApp are both banned in China. Signal is the one I can use without VPN. If you buy a China national wide, or so called domestic version of cellphone running android, you are confined to only use WeChat . Sometimes I call these domestic android cellphone WeChat phone. WeChat is known as their unsecurity and slow response speed and unoptimized voice and video call qualities. I currently only use wechat as colleague chat for company business, phone pay and viewing public channels delivered by my interested companies.
Signal will be the next WhatsApp
🤞
Lol does it have status,i mean can we post status??
From a professional hacker perspective, go with Telegram. Telegram has admitted multiple times fighting against companies trying to get access to other people's data, and so far they haven't lost the privacy fight.
Telegram is the BEST!
Nope.. Signal :D
@@PNCNDNOB Does Signal offer channels?
Me realizing Discord exists
I like how he was bashing Telegram so much even though it's better than WhatsApp
Me: What is that clicking noise I hear in my house?
Me, a few seconds later: oh, it's the video.
Telegram is best. Bro u can download almost anything from it.
suddenly this video becomes trending. Good work, man
Yes, I found my personal data privacy and security with Signal private messenger
Thanks to Signal team, they made privacy easy
Who is watching in 2021✋
Hi. Trump won.
Thumbs up!!!!You are doing a great job,bruh!Ever wondered to do a similar video about mails and which is the best e mail app?
Read my mind like a book 📖
Yup, Proton by far the best...
You have to study more before doing videos, you lied in a lot of points, you confused encryption with e2e encryption, you said that in features WhatsApp is similar to telegram (???) And the fact thas WhatsApp have e2e encription is useless when it have 2 known backdoors, (it can change encription keys and add listeners to groups)
In security, privacy and features Telegram is better than whatsapp, but in security, signal is better.
The only thing i miss in Telegram is e2e group chats, that's the reason signal is better in that point (but not WhatsApp)
Telegram >
Secure and feature packed.
It's not secure lol
My guy forgot Whatsapp’s Broadcast feature which is like the channel feature from Telegram
What is that clicking noise?!? I was listening to this with stereo headphones and I thought the chair I was sitting in was falling apart. 🤣
I tried all messaging apps & Signal is the best! Messaging concentrated, means no channels no people nearby no stories. Also no online/writing status bullshit
But Signal still needs enhancements like adding Bots for business, broadcast feature & a direct download from their website to avoid censorship, an app built-in updater with notification service
Thanks bro... I'm moving to signal 💪🔐
Wire is the best msg app b/c it doesn't require a phone number and is made by a company that focuses on privacy.
Wire is very close to Signal... both have very slight pro's and con's, but are almost neck in neck with each other. I like how Wire is outside of the US. They both have almost the same encryption protocol as well.
Your video is of utter importance now!
Great video man! Have been reading up on this last few hours, and have heard what I read. Could have just came straight here :D But maybe wouldn't understand it at full, so, still happy.
I disagree with you. Telegram is far better than Whatsapp.
lmao....off topic ...you are one handsome dude!
😅
@@techlore 😂😂
I am not satisfied with any of these messengers, I am not 100% sure of their security. But I am confident in Utopia, for me it is the most secure and multifunctional messenger at the moment
Utopia is the future
Very interesting and promising project, waiting for the phone app
which app are you talking about ? whose they ?? you should mention properly
Use signal, Elon Musk
Got 2 questions. Let's say I download Signal. Do 2 different people have to call through Signal for it logs to be private or it starts private from my end? Also, when a person who doesn't have Signal calls through their default messaging app will it still register secured or not, even if I just have Signal downloaded and not the other person?
Great video. I really enjoyed the comparison. I currently use WhatsApp but would prefer to use Signal but unfortunately not many people know about it. I also find that most people (including me with some things) will choose convenience over security and privacy
Gotta draw the convenience line somewhere, and people all have different limits 👍
Solid Video, great Explanations. Personal Space from the MetaData Universe has gotten absolutely out of hand in my opinion. While i use all 3 of these, I still feel like I am being watched/monitored. Not necessarily out of paranoia, I just like my conversations to be with who I am talking to. While we just chat and chill, and nothing of ground breaking news, we like to keep our conversations between ourselves. I don't even think there really is such of thing as Privacy anymore, more just trying to not let people know too much. Really enjoyed the video.
very Nice informative video thanks
the "wassup" joke got really old. really fast.
3:22 being a telegram fan I needed to know this
Great work 👍🏻 Thanks
```Strengths and Flaws of every app mentioned:```
*Flaws of every app:*
• WhatsApp: Can't Trust Facebook.
• Telegram: Most people don't use it so it feels kinda lonely over here.
• Signal: Same condition in comparison to Telegram but a little bit buggy.
*Strength of every app:*
• WhatsApp: Majority of people use it.
• Telegram: Super secure and fluid UI.
• Signal: Good for people who don't chat much and are not into custom made UI.
here before this video hits 1mill thanks to the Facebook!
too bad all of them need BOTH users to have them. Really sucks trying to explain this to my grandma who can barely open the app store or other technologically illiterate people
It is a shame :( I’m grateful the three people I talk with the most switched to Signal! Not everyone has this luxury but it can only get better from here 😛
Techlore true, you know of any messaging apps that allow some level of privacy or security even when only 1 person has it? Like even a little is better than nothing
Not that I know of. Everything requires both ends to use proper encryption or else the entire encryption is broken. You’re as secure as your weakest link, so you’re wasting your time. There is Silence SMS which will encrypt SMS messages, but this still requires two people to use Silence.
The best we've got for the easiest integration is Signal, where you can send them an invite link for the non tech savvy person to click and easy enough to walk them through to click a few more to get it up and running.
It takes two to tango and it's just the nature of how it works ... only to have one side encrypted is unrealistic, unless the default platform (which it does not have) is built to have this feature.
Great video, man. Thank you. Very informative, with a few top-notch bits of humor thown in for good measure! You've earned a sub, to be sure. 👍💯
Very good comparison bro..my question to you is..u said signal is the most secure and privacy level is high..but can LAW ENFORCEMENT be able to peek through the client messages if they ever wanted? Like FBI ..CID...OR GOVT.
We have no reason to believe they can as of today. But like everything, don’t fully rely on one piece of technology to keep you safe.
I've used both WhatsApp and Telegram before with my preference being WhatsApp. That being said I also use NordVPN and to save money on bills, a prepaid cell phone.
A relative of mine uses WhatsApp presently, but absolutely refuses to input their real name anywhere on the Internet using a name they prefer to their legal one instead.
Their cell phone is a line on an account of a different person so their name shows up nowhere on the bill. Also their cell phone was bought as a gift in cash, so really any metadata collected wouldn't be accurate because of those above actions taken. Additionally, they don't have any social media accounts and use anonymous search engines on the few searches they do.
As for me, I'm not a part of social media either not interested in such things only using the internet to watch videos here on RUclips not even going on email, websites, or search engines at all in fact. As far as subscription purchases, apart from using anonymous methods of payment, requests for subscription birthday or holiday gifts is always helpful as well, and often a more affordable alternative to gifts in general.
All instant messaging apps are rubbish in front of Telegram
Telegram is very similar to whatsapp, if they have more security than whatsapp that makes Telegram a better app, I don't like signal because you can't se last seen and that's a very important feature to me. Telegram is exactly like whatsapp but with better security!!
2021 whatsapp is not private any more
I recommend Telegram over Whatsapp, sonce facebook is already too powerful. giving your datas to telegram is less harmful in my opinion.
and is there an update for Messengers,
inkluding xmpp, matrix, briar, and threema?
I prefer using using proprietary encryption like MTProto because the company won't release its code for peer review because it's just that damn good. I mean, it's not like they have something to hide from us, right? We can trust them like Microsoft and RSA.
📱أفضل وآمن بدائل للواتس اب-Best Alternative📱:
1-Telegram - تيليغرام
2- Signal- سقنل
3- Bip - بيب
I saw that the t shirt says Eminem
And I liked and subscribed
Simple as that 😃
@Techlore "According to documents filed by the Department of Justice, Signal’s encrypted messages can be intercepted from iPhone devices when those Apple devices are in a mode called partial AFU". Any comment on this?
Signal is Best As Looking For Privacy Matter than other app , so i recommended Signal messaging app
you didn t mention that whatsapp prompts you every now and then to agree to backup to google ALL your chats...NOT ENCRYPTED end to end. you don t do it? get ready to loose all your chats everytime you change phone :)
that s a big point against privacy imho
When he said whatsapp in the beginning, i thought he was doing his intro ngl lmao
Twas the joke!
I'm curious, what are the complaints about Signal's group chats? I've never had a significant problem.
Signal is definitely a less polished experience than the other apps, but I've mostly had minor bugs.
(Though it would be all kinds of nice if the app grouped incoming messages and notified you once rather than drop a pile on you in rapid succession and make your phone wig out.)
I use whatsapp bcoz I have no choice, All my friends and classmates and later on my workmates and my family members all use whatsapp, so I need to use whatsapp to be in touch with them, very very few of them has telegram and none of the has signal, in fact, this is the first time I'm hearing about it
do u know what is the most frustrating issue with Signal? their desktop application. It's truly terrible, extremely slow and buggy and also with some security issues as visible phone numbers, one list of contacts without any customization
Thanks! That is a very well put together video, great and concise information! :)
Signal also makes good use of google playservices on Android just to even register.
Signal offers an Android APK on their website that runs without Play Services.
Is signal the best
Is there a way to transfer your current sms messages to signal when you start using it or is it basically you're starting from scratch?
Advanced encryption ensures an interception-proof communication channel to all Utopia users. Join!
How many times has Whatsapp been hacked? and how many times Telegram? Are we talking about security here and some fancy features of an app?
For privacy Signal for sure
Nobody is talking about signal in comments section why?
Started using signal today. And I'm pretty impressed till now.
