Would a master ball garuntee a capture in max raid battles / g max battles
I'm sure no one will see this but: You can make the Net Ball apply to almost any Pokemon by using Soak to change them to Water type.

Smeargle with Soak, Spore, False Swipe, and Taunt. Net Ball at 1 hp + sleep.

It is either dusk or luxury* for me, depends on the Pokemon. Like Polteageist and Alcremie goes in luxury* because they could be luxery items. Grimmsnarl a dusk ball because it suits him and he is some kind of welsh night goblin.
I have so many of both but only for single player raid battles that aren’t gigantamax bc of the 100% catch rate
luxury/friendship balls are decent for evolving pokemon like eevee. also at high friendship you're pokemon will just get free crits, free focus sash, free protect, free early bird. i've had a yamper at max friendship survive 6 consecutive earthquakes. he had 2 friendship evades trigger and then he had friendship focus sash activate 4 times in a row.

Dive Ball is more successful then Net Balls but Net are more variable to catch pokemon. and Lure Ball it's more successful then a Dive Ball

I tried to catch Eternatus in a dive ball because I wanted to see what happened if the catch failed, but it worked so now I have Eternatus in a dive ball.
Eternatus is scripted It never fails....

As a kid, when I was playing Pokemon Platinum for the very first time, I got to the part of the game where you fight the legendaries on Spear Pillar. Dialga came first and I managed to whittle it down the normal way and catch it after a battle. I thought the idea of a Pokemon that can control time was really cool (better than space) so I was really enthralled with the badass Steel Dragon. Palkia came next and I thought to myself, "Hey, I now own a Pokemon who can literally control time. I have this unused storage of Timer Balls in my Bag that I should try out." Turn 1 of the battle with Palkia, I throw a Timer Ball and just like that, I caught Palkia at full health without even battling it.
I see this as proof that Dialga is better than Palkia

Someone asked me for a Sword exclusive for a Charmander. I’ve completed the pokedex so I gave them a Stonjourner, Sir Fetch’d and Solrock. I later then checked the charmander they gave me and it was holding a Master Ball.
Just traded my friend for the kanto starters he had all 3 shiny and 2 had leftovers 1 had a master ball

finally someone who understands. the only exception is I'd use ultra balls on legendaries and (encounterable) mythicals and beast balls on ultra beasts, but for reg Pokemon I refuse to accept them in anything else other than the reg Pokeball. it just bothers and disgusts me to have my Pokemon in any other balls, I hate their designs and summon animation so much

Quick Balls are so ugly. I only use them on something like Ditto that I won't be breeding it down.

I was like that till beast balls, almost all my 7gen mons are on these. Now I'm with premier balls. The only ones of the regulars who look decent are heal and dusk the rest are ugly as hell..
I use a fitting ball for every shiny or mon that I breed for cp..

I use quick balls by far the most but also keep plenty of ultra balls (and use them in conjunction with False Swipe) for when a quick ball fails. In late-game Scarlet/Violet you almost exclusively need quick balls since you can select "run" when it doesn't work and the pokemon reminds right in front of you so you can try again
9:45 actually critical captures have been around since black and white I remember very fondly that I have critical captured my reshiram in a timer ball back in the Pokémon black story line.
Timer ball its hight successful because you turns were so long that's why you catch hem and Timer Balls are so good for Defence Pokemon

I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I REALLY like catching all my Pokémon in normal pokeballs. I’ve completed my Pokédex and 90% of my Pokémon including zacian and Eternetus are in normal pokeballs.

Re: The story-locked day-night cycle
The day night cycle is normal in the wild area during the story. So if you're trying to catch something in the wild area at night even if it's day during the story, it will count as being night. This is the same for day/night evolutions as well.
Here’s a list of some Poke Ball flexes:
A shiny, high catch-rate Pokemon in a Master Ball. Master Balls can’t be bred onto Pokemon, so a shiny in a Master Ball must have been caught in the wild. High catch-rate is a must because it means you specifically chose the Master Ball for the swag, not because it was an easy catch. Also separates wild-caught shiny Magikarp/Gyarados from the event ones, which are the most common shiny.
A Pokemon (preferably shiny/marked) with a low catch-rate, in an Apriball. Since you only get 1 of each Apriball, that means you either soft-reset until you captured it (which is similar to shiny hunting, if more common), or you got it in a raid. Marked Aprimon specifically need to be soft-reset for, plus they need to be caught to determine if they’re marked, so they’re probably more valuable than shiny Aprimon which can be bred.
An entire team in Pokeballs, Premier balls, or other balls with no catch modifiers, especially if it includes non-max-adventure legendaries or other low catch-rate Pokemon. The consistency is just impressive imo.
An entire team in the same Apriball, basically the above but going above and beyond. You either traded for them (difficult and time-consuming, especially if they’re rare or have hidden abilities), replayed the entire game to get each ball, or got really lucky with the DLC methods of obtaining them. Personally my go-to is the Friend Ball since it has no catch modifiers, making it really impressive on low catch-rate Pokemon. It’s also pretty, which helps.
Pokemon in balls that match their colors, but not their catching requirements, e.g. Virizion in a Nest Ball. Shows intent in your Poke Ball choices.
Any non-max-adventure Pokemon in a Beast Ball, especially if the catch isn’t guaranteed, since it’s just a bad ball in SwSh. I’m actually glad its use as a flex is so limited now, because I really don’t like how it looks.

Now that the Legendaries are coming back with the DLC, keep a Heavy Ball handy. On Pokemon like Giratina, Groudon or Arceus it has an insane 9x multiplier, which is basicly unbeatable.
(Also Critical Captures have been around since Black and White but its a small detail)

I've been doing my own Pokéball challenge since gen5, where I use nothing but the normal Pokéball. It's very nice aesthetically, and it proves for some pretty difficult encounters! Zacian was a challenge to catch before he sweeped my team

i tried to not use my master ball to catch zacian, but after 12 turns of breaking free, i caved and used it because i was a dingus and didn’t stock up on ultra balls.

Ya....half of every quick ball I throw breaks (I'm cursed with cataclysmically bad rng in every luck based game I play) and it takes me a couple turns to false swipe a tough legendary then a couple turns to heal if they're hitting me hard then 5 turns the hypnosis to miss so I can start throwing balls....ya timer ball is easily my most used ball
The main ones I use are quick balls... because who needs to actually battle the wild pokemon?

You see, you have to use an MLG troll strat of having Hatterene use her Magic powder to change it to a psychic type and then you can false swipe it as many times as you want.

You can alter the time in game. Disconnect the switch from WiFi and set the internal clock to whatever time zone is night. Go to the wild area and use a rare candy on whatever Pokémon needs to evolve at night or if you need it to be night to capture things. Worked for me.

This was so informative for total noobs like me who's new to Pokemon, gonna start S&S soon after i'm done with Fallen Order.
Hearing the stats makes me realize how lucky I was to catch Xerneas in a Nest ball. One of my favorite Pokémon stories to this day
Hate to break it to you, but a lot of the newer box legendaries have a pretty high catch rate. Xerneas in particular has almost double the catch rate of Snorlax, and is on par with many pseudos like Bagon. Gen 8's Zacian and Zamazenta are the lowest the catch rate has been since gen 3, for which Kyogre and Groudon had half that catch rate.
ive literally been catching all my pokemons with a quick ball. i just throw it in the beginning of the match and viola! the pokemon is caught. high level pokemon too.
I've had a critical capture fail me when trying to capture a ditto! For those who aren't aware lol it doesn't guarantee capture.
The only thing it does is reduce the number of shakes from 3 to 1.
Every shake as a chance for your poke to escape.

I never once used other pokeballs to catch pokemon besides a normal pokeball. All pokemon I've caught in the galar pokedex including the isle of armor and crown tundra as well as legendaries were all by pokeballs
I've always been of the mindset that if you use any pokeballs that aren't regular pokeballs then you'll never be the very best like no one ever was. I commend you.
