Really! Does central Blackpool need yet another hotel, in my opinion, it is not needed and I hope that the application is refused, enough is enough...

One thing is always at the back of my mind when I hear a new building is planned for central Blackpool; the height is always in need of consideration in that it should not exceed the height of [say] the new DWP seven story building under construction.
I always remember how the tall black skyscraper in Paris overshadowed the magnificent Eiffel Tower. this angered parisians intensely and the same would apply to Blackpool ...
The bridge connecting the hotel to the conference centre is good security in these hyper sensitive days. The artist impression looks good - like the DWP build it is not four flat glass walls. A pleasant change these days.

Hi Jane, I think there's a bit of work to do on the foundations first as it does look a bit uneven but I'm sure they will figure something out as they always do. Would be good having the hotel directly over the road from the Winter Gardens, artist impressions look good to. 🙂
