What film
I love how everyone ends up looking so joyful and dancing together. And the man waiting achingly in the room, seeing the car lights expectantly, is so intense and raw. Perfect representation of longing and anticipation. Hot video all around.
I love everything Austra does. They strike such a great balance of being artful and challenging, but still wholly enjoyable and with a beating heart. This video is fantastic!
This is such a great video, and yet it is such a sad one. Those small reminders of fleeting happiness make the endless ocean that is loneliness a much more poignant one.

I just love the song, The lyrics, The beats and of course, the videoclip.
I don't understand why people dislike this EP. Austra has always been about delicate arrangements at brooding tempos with haunting vocals singing vulnerable lyrics, and this EP does that. Yes, it's less pop and more vibe than Olympia was, but if anything that's a return to the debut and shows a band comfortable with itself. Habitat is as quietly emotional as some of their best songs like The Beast, and Hulluu is wonderfully hypnotic and, while not their best, one of their most fun songs. The instrumental track is eh, Bass Drum Dance is good but not stand-out, but in my opinion this EP is strong for what it is and all it does is make me want more, more, more, which is how I've felt for the two and a half years that I've loved this band.
I absolutely love this video! It's very likely my favourite video that you've done since "Beat and the Pulse" and "Spellwork". Beautifully shot! :)

Austra en Habitat nos permite ingresar a un mundo exclusivo que ella crea a través de los beats y su voz, como un viaje de Ayahuasca en donde los Ícaros son el medio de transporte de la mente. El resto del disco es una incursión de sonidos que solo se podrían escuchar en este pequeño mundo creado por Austra, sonidos que solo tienen sentido para el que habita en el sitio, como los sonidos de las aves que rompen el silencio de las noches en lo más profundo de la selva.
Yo definitivamente hubiese hecho otro video, pero este corto es muy genial, es otra forma muy válida de sentir la música.

Austa mentioned that she made a simple album to be mixed by other musicians. Also artists have to perform the same songs over and over and want something they can enjoy and vary and mix when they play live. Austra is also a band, of 5 or 6?? Lots more to say, but ppl figure it out any way.

I sort of suspected that the two women would like each other lol but um this is such a powerful message, that women can be together and a boy can love whoever he wants. I think that's the message?? And the lady singing is just a nurse (like the "typical" woman job), while the people in the video are breaking stereotypes. Idk if stereotypes is the right word.

I LOVE this video, and the realness of it, but I don't know how I'm supposed to feel about the businessman and his... um... hookup. The age gap seriously makes me uncomfortable, and it's implied that it was a paid act. I guess I enjoy how it shows there can be joy in even an act like that, but it's still hard to escape the undertones of exploitation there, even if the reasons for it are that both men are just lonely.

Well, any sexual act with an underage (the choice of protagonist makes it clear that he was made to look underage in the video) is sexual assault. The line is very clear. This can't be too romanticized as it isn't at all. One take advantage of the other not knowing at all. So I hope that by showing this, is to show how uncomfortable it actually is and that's how it should be - uncomfortable. I personally found it a bit triggering and I'm not a boy or man who's lived this. I love Austra and I know they don't banalize this, but it can be triggering.
