Ive had the same problem when I started playing guitar. I was so frustrated because I wasn't able to play the most simple chords. It takes a few months, but once you build up callus (which is skin that builds up on your fingers that make them strong enough to play.) A few tips you could use as a beginner is try pulling the guitar closer to your body when you play. Or you can also try pressing your thumb on the back of the guitar more. It all takes time though! Don't let it discourage you because once you get it you can play the most beautiful music!

David Jefferson if you put a capo on the 6th fret you just play D, A, E, F#m fir the chorus, but the picking for the intro i’m not sure
I use the capo on the 1st fret
@@TheBiologyking bans use capo on 3rd fret. But I think they also change tuning

Hello, two years anser, but i think he said e-flat because d-sharp is the same.
D sharp is identical as E flat, and A flat is identical to G sharp. The same chord has two names. I hope this is helpful.
