I also gamify things in order to get things done. I hiked the Appalachian trail a couple years ago and I swear I spent half the time telling myself if you take 10 more steps you can have water, take a break, decide if I want to quit.... It worked and I finished the whole 2,189 miles!

As a person who has ADHD - not officially diagnosed but I'm pretty sure I have it - really felt paralyzed in a loop of procrastinating and regretting ,When your first advice was to stop negative talk, that was exactly what I needed!!!, to stop blaming myself and regretting and crying over spilled milk. Negative emotions, especially regret, made me escape through procrastination and scrolling online, it exhausted me so much. No hate to others but advice like asking friends or family for help really doesn't make it any better, they're just as clueless as me. The perfection one really hits home. I often spend so much energy on planning how to do something that I have none left to actually do anything.

I've been in the worst slump since November 2021. I'm so stressed out because ive been homeschooled so i just haven't done school. now i'm switching to public school because my ADHD can't do homeschool. but now i have 2 years of school to do to make a transcript.
When I like have to clean my room I set a timer for 10 to 20 minutes and if I’m not done cleaning I would set another timer for ten minutes scrolling on motivational videos (like this one!! ❤)
as soon as I clicked on the video it spoke to me. Everything you mentioned in the intro was totally what I was doing and this has helped me so much💗 thank you for your advice and kindness. (and the video was super cute too!!)

'lazy girl era' is a weird euphemism for depression. I personally don't think laziness even exists, there is always a reason for lack of action, usually the word lazy is weaponized against disabled and mentally ill people.
Ur right! I try to say that as my first point that “lazy girl era” isn’t the right way to phrase it, and that the first step to any of this is remembering that we aren’t “lazy” and it’s not laziness that’s causing it.
You are very cute and all but why do you always mention that you have adhd, in every video, it’s your name and then AND I HAVE ADHD !!!! Like we know, we get it.

Everyone's school experience is different. There's no use in shaming yourself, just remember that this is a decision you made to improve your life!
