This video just sold me. Just placed an order. Great highlights covering everything. I too worried about the 100k powertrain warranty, but hearing this doesn’t void puts me at ease. Just wondering how you verified-VW Tech support? Great video.
I talked to my dealer as well as technicians and there is no possible way removing a resonator can cause engine damage, it’s not removing cats, changing anything to the O2 sensors or emission, it’s purely just a sound mitigating device. Also if something happens they have to prove that a modification you made caused the failure in order to void your warranty related to that repair. Bigger wheels and tires can be contributed to a transmission or differential failure more than this ever would. (Just as an example)
have you experienced any gas milage issues with your toureg? had mine for about a year and have been battling crappy milage! also i installed this x pipe and love it
i replaced 02 sensors, spark plugs , ignition coils , valve cover gasket, air filter, oil and oil filter, cleaned my throttle body and have cleaned my maf sensor but still have had no luck
@@B0nurSanchez this is my second Touareg and it gets the same as my other one around 19-20mpg. Pretty normal for average mix of city and highway. But what is your definition of crappy mileage? Also how many miles are on it? The biggest thing with any DI (direct injection) car in particular VWs is carbon build up. If you have over 60,000 miles you might want to have your engine/valves walnut blasted. People report on average of 2-3 mpg better after and increased responsiveness.
@@Bsaint have a 2017 Wolfsburg toureg with the vr6 and it gets about 9-12. After each thing I have replaced it would get better and then go back to about 9-12
sounds good, gonna get it on mine! i have the same touareg wolfsburg. super side question, how's the heated steering wheel on yours? Mine kinda warms up and it doesn't get too warm. wondering if your's does the same...love my touareg!
Thanks man! They are the factory Touareg Brembo Calipers that I painted in original Porsche Acid green. The paint alone was $100 for just a pint. I have a few more pictures of them on my Instagram @bsaintmedia
Ecs doesn’t list it as a compatible vehicle, even though the engine might be the same the exhaust system on the Cayenne might be slightly different enough for it not to fit. I would reach out to ecstuning to see for sure though.
Rev in sport mode? You can’t rev in sport mode you have to be in park or neutral to rev which it was. And the outside take off video was in sport mode. Also sport mode makes no difference in the sound. It only holds the revs higher when you are driving to keep you in the powerband.
@@Bsaint thought about that after I posted and went for a drive. I meant to come back and update the question. When driving is there a rpm range where it sounds the best ?
I’d definitely say down in the lower rpm’s it sounds the best. You are removing a “resonator” which helps muffle low end tones, but up high rpm’s really don’t get muffled as much with a resonator they flow pretty freely, so up high has very little difference which is perfect for me.
How did you tint your windows? I have a 2017 with factory tint in the back that is more of a green tint. I took into a few places and everyone said they cant match it because the unique green color in the tint from Volkswagen.
Had a tint shop to 20% match all the way around including the windshield. Once they are tinted you can’t see any sort of green hue it all looks perfectly fine. Just have it done and don’t worry about what a shop says you won’t regret it.
Very very nice part !!! i order one for my Touareg. One comment tho… do you know that your hitch ball is not tied correcly ? The washer should be crushed all the way up to lock the bolt under it. At the end of the video when you rev it the bolts Doesnt seem to be tight at all.
Sound nice and subtle. I've actually went all the way in and changed the whole setup by adding valve controled exhaust. I have a video for it in my channel
This is for gen 3 Touareg's, you have a gen 1 which ECS does not show it fitting. It might be the same engine, but the exhaust on the different Gen Touareg's are different.
Filming the before & after from various angles & scenarios was such simple genius that so many don't do - God bless bro†
Thanks man! 🙌
I know I’m late to the party, but this sounds fire!!!!
better late than never!
Just ordered this for my lifted ‘12 Touareg. Excited to hear VR sounds🤡

that sounds excellent! well done

thanks bro i will shipp it to Lithuania we have some badass touregs here too :)

@@B0nurSanchez wow that is bad, how many miles? I would definitely have it carbon cleaned and then reset your mileage avg after.
Any drone? (Mainly asking for highway driving)
@@VWNERD___ no none at all, you can’t even tell from inside if the windows are up. It’s not a muffler so there really shouldn’t be.

It gets warm fast then I think it turns itself down and then back up.
Hey that’s exactly what happens pretty sure I’ve noticed mine doing the same thing
That's perfect!...off question, what color are your calipers? Or did you swap from a Cayenne diesel?

nice .. and also how is the highway driving is there a drone ..
None what so ever, if you watch the very last clip I start driving with it and show inside the car. It’s dead quiet you can’t tell anything is done.
an X pipe actually counters drone
Wonderful! Does it fit on Cayenne 3.6?

I did this to my toureg and it didnt seem to make much difference at all , any feedback on this?
It didnt even come close to this sound
@@karstenschwerinski9847 no idea what you installed, and can’t speak for your vehicle. This is just an install and review video.
@@Bsaint the same exact thing that you did, I did it after watching your video
What year is your Touareg?
2017 the last year the US got it.
Hello! Hope your day going great I wanted to know was this a V6 you installed on. Sound really good like a V8
Vr6, similar to inline 6
can you upload a video doing the rev in sport mode, i noticed you were only using the d mode in this video.

What's the sound before? Also I have VW Touareg VR6 FSI
It’s all in the video, cold start before, driving off before.
What size of rims and model are you running?
They are factory 20” VW Wolfsburg edition wheels

i've got to do this to mine
Do it! So worth it
hey man i have vw touareg r line 3.6 2014
when i pot the esc x pipe,do i need a ecu tune ?
No you do not
Wheel set up please?
Stock Wolfsburg 20”s
Hello can it fit on 2007 3.6 touareg?
No this is for Gen 2-3
Is that the 3.0 tdi
It is not - see description
Can this instalation work on a 2014 touareg v6??
Yes it’s the same thing

Awesome good to hear! Yes I do know. I swap out the size from time to time and unless I’m towing I don’t crank it all the way down.
Sound nice and subtle. I've actually went all the way in and changed the whole setup by adding valve controled exhaust.
I have a video for it in my channel
Sorry maybe I've missed is that the SE version ?
Touaregs don’t go by S or Se they go by Sport, Lux, Wolfsburg or Executive and this is a Wolfsburg. Equivalent to an SEL with extra appearance items.
unfortunately doesn't fit first gen. Touareg 3.6fsi
No it does not
Just need one for the r line 4.2 v8
Bummer! I watched the whole video thinking it was for a 3.0 TDI. Then I heard it start… 😬😂
Could of just read the first line of the description 😂😂
Brother i have vw touareg v6 3.6 fsi 2009 and i want to put x pipe in the middle...i would have the same result as yours to sound??
