In this video we will show you both ways to throw a cast net. one method uses your teeth and the other method is showing you how to throw your cast net with out using your teeth to hold the net.
Once you master the skill you will be able to get your own bait for your fishing trips.
So what is the best cast net? Well that will depend on how strong you are as well as the type of bait you are trying to catch with your net.
Starting with a 6ft cast net is the best for beginners and the easiest to learn how to throw without using your teeth as it is much lighter than a 7 or 8 ft net.
One important tip and warning is to NEVER tie the end of the rope to your wrist in such a way that you can not get it off without having to cut it off if it gets pulled tight. Always leave enough room to slip your wrist off the line in case you are throwing into a heavy current or casting from a boat and the net gets caught. You can be pulled overboard and if you can get the rope loose then drowning is a possibility so be careful.
