Good news! Chris Edwards mailed his patrons (including me) and shared with us that the PiMiga 4 will be released in the next couple of weeks!

Looking forward to giving it a try. He has done some awesome work with earlier versions!

Thanx for such kind words. Was kinda sick when recording this so was in the mood for something quite different.

Yes. And really well made. I think those kind of workbench/amigaos hacks is hard to make.

I would be curious for terminal utilities that were made for Amiga in mind. Asking since I use terminal in Linux a lot with Tmux and and Emacs via vterm and am always fascinated with more text based workflows.
    Cool stuff as always.

I am the same. Mostly do stuff in terminal on linux. As for terminals for AmigaOS I havent really found any good terminals. There are those oldfassion terminals made for bbs/telnet use but nothing for various cli-usage that I know of. However there are better shells out there. KINCON is one of the old once I used back in the day which I never really changed from. But even the shell in AmigaOS 3.2 is a LOT better than the old one in 3.1 and such (has tab completion etc). However you still lack a proper terminal.

You did very well putting this video together. You sounded awful! I wish you a speedy recovery. This looks like an interesting application, but one I'm not sure I would have a use for. Thank you for sharing, though.

thanx a lot. I had a hard round this time. Slowly recovering now. Thanx for watching as well, even though I was struggling with speaking through the video. Hopefully I will back at my game in two weeks for my next video :)
Regarding the application I showed. I guess it is kind of a tech demo. quite an impressive one, but I agree. not something I would use at the current state.

That would be great a new shellcr if it used it's own screen.

Thats a really good idea. That would be extremely practical.

Oh yeah I am looking to build an Amiga using the 3D printed Mister wedge case, and wanted to emulate most Amigas from the A500 to the workstation based Amigas with all different types of workbench installed on different FS-UAE configs. Would you recommend a Raspberry Pi 4 to be able to do this?
Asking since I need a small form factor to fit in the wedge case itself.

I would go with the rpi5. amiberry should be ready for use on that now and if pimiga is something you enjoy a version for the pi5 is just around the corner. So not the moment in time I would go for the pi4. I think I would rather go for those N100 based miniPCs than a pi4 if you are not able to get a pi5 (the smallest N100-machines should fit in the case (at least if it is about the same size as the A1200-case you are making). My latest video is about that if you want to see how small they are).
One thing I don't know as I haven´t tested is how well fs-uae run on ARM. I have only tested it on intel. I only use amiberry on my arm computers.
Sounds like a cool machine you are making for youself :)

@@protequeHey my dude, my friend offered me his original Mister IO board. Do you think I should go ahead and go with a Mister build with a wedge case or go the mini PC route? Asking since I know you said that the Mister can emulate Workbench 1.3 and 3.1 and other classic computers. I am just wondering if I would be missing out on other software for Workbench 1.3 and 3.1 like demos etc.
The ability to boot multiple classic computers seems cool too

    Handy in Real3D :)

Actually I think you are right! does Real3d open on the WB-screen? I have only used Cinema4d myself. and that may benefit from it as well.
