"If a pattern doesn't come in my size. I am not buying it!" I struggle with grading patterns up and down. Do you have to do full bust adjustments? And when a pattern has to be larger for accommodating your measurements. Where do you accommodate them? In the bust in the waste or in the hips? This would be a great video to do.
Yes, I've had to do FBAs in the past and I don't enjoy doing them 😆. It's been a couple years since I've personally done an FBA. I've been able to grade between sizes to get a pretty good fit on most pieces. However, what I need to go back doing are muslins so I can see where on my body I need to make further adjustments. The thing with fitting you can try to over accommodate or "over fit". I'm not a fit expert by no means 😆
I have one of the books by Tillie. It has patterns in the back like the book from MimiG where you have to trace the patterns. I'm not a fan of tracing patterns but I can appreciate the hacking ideas that MimiG has and can use the ideas with other patterns.

I bought the Kindle version of the Mimi G book, I was not a fan of tracing and I have nowhere here in the Islands to get copy shop printing. I mentioned it in her youtube chat and they contacted me and sent me the Print at home versions of the files. I have already made the Camisole, it fits great and I have the button up shirt all ready to cut out in fabric. I have not hacked yet because she recommended doing muslins first. I will think about entering the HACKATHON if I can find the time to get something made up. I canot wait to hear about yours. I love the dress you are wearing.
Hi dear, since your last video, I have noticed a distortion in your audio. Not sure if you have the camera next to a fan or near a window with the wind blowing, or maybe you have the ac blowing on the camera? It just sounds like something is berthing heavily in your mike. Please have a listen
OK so I disagree with you on the mimi g book in terms of the sizing. I think enough patterns and books are out there in this world that are not size inclusive for there to be one more added to the mix. Mimi G has the resources to have spent the time to make size inclusive patterns. I do not get it, and will not waist my money on a glorified paper weight just to get hacking ideas, that's what Pinterest and instgram exist for. Thank you for letting us know about the sizing. I have been looking everywhere to see the sizing table and have found it nowhere. Thank goodness I waited before buying this book. I am not about the grading up life 😂😂
I understand and definitely can appreciate your viewpoint. For me personally it's not a deal breaker as I'm someone that is challenge when thinking outside the box, so as I mentioned it is a great resource for me in that way. Thanks so much for commenting 😊

I agree with you Zelda! Most of the patterns are at the top of my size range, but there are a lot of ideas that I like.
