Thank you for the reminder that this is just a way for your family and friends to celebrate in your success! I'm throwing my first housewarming ever this Saturday and I'm sooooooo nervous!!! lol... this video gave me the right to chill out a bit.... lol
Hey! Excellent question! My family loves board games and card games, so that's always an option. You can also have a movie-- but make it a funny one or an action movie that everyone has likely seen. That way people don't feel they don't want to mingle. Last-- if you make a do it your self food like building salads, pizzas, or adding toppings on chili, that is an activity in itself and people love to personalize their food!
Great tips! We haven't had our housewarming yet for those EXACT reasons...well, those reasons plus trying to finish fixing up the house. We're tossing around the idea of a pasta bar because people can put whatever toppings/ sauce they want on their own plate...good for vegetarians and carnivores. ;)
AWESOME, AWESOME... Hubby and I just moved into a tiny little house we are renting, Our family were NO WEAR TO BE FOUND, so we did everything our self's... We packed and moved 48 hours straight, but we did it with NO HELP from anyone... I REALY want to have them all over {FAMILY} to see that we got it done WITHOUT their help... I am more hurt then mad but I won't let them see that... I did get a few great ideas for a house warming party... This video really helped me... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO, IT'S AWESOME!!!
I agree, you should still have them over and be a LOVELY host to them. Thank you for sharing and let me know how it turns out. If you search, there is a more recent video about how to have a successful dinner party. Those tips may also help. Best of luck! xoxo
Thanks for watching and subscribing! I think you should make a list. It certainly makes it easier on your friends and family to know that they can go to Target or whatever and get you something you will actually use. You can casually mention it on the invite.
Thank you for your video. I will be moving soon and I was wondering do you think its a good idea for me to make a list of things i want and have them pick what they want to buy? instead of them just buying whatever they think i need? It wont be anything over $10. OR should i just tell my friends if they dont have the time i can just purchase the items myself and when they arrive at the party they can just bring me a small envelope?
Kimmy Sunshine what a cute idea! I think all the same rules apply, but a cute handwritten note would be nice to deliver to each of them tk invite them. And no shame in actually saying you want to meet your new neighbors. If someone did that for me, I’d be happy to stop by ❤️
Thank you for the great tips, and for reminding me that friends and family don't expect everything to be perfect!
kns88 exactly. So glad you found this to be helpful! 💕

How would you go about throwing a housewarming party for the purpose of meeting your new neighbors?
