    Great series of videos! My specific system and situation are different, but I've learned a whole lot from watching the whole series of your videos. Thanks for putting these up

      I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed He was using a Ignition coil pack, not a fuel injector. I was about to make my post. But I figured I'd scroll down through the comments to make sure this hasn't already been brought to his attention. Another thing about bringing this to his attention is the coil trigger pulse is normally a higher voltage. And is not as recommended over the injector signal pulse by a lot of people, I've heard talking about this. Prolonged higher voltage through the remote start / alarm system. Equals shorter lifespan of remote start / alarm system.

    The easist way to do that is get whats called a factory upgrade alarm, like the Omega al100edp, it arms and disrams through the factory locks and turns a factory remote into an fully featured aftermarket alarm. I frown on viper so dont ask me to recommend one, I have those al100edp's on my site btw if you want to research it a little further

    Hello Lessco Electronics, hope you and your family are doing ok safe and healthy in this dificult time and thank you for those good videos; very educational and informative.Hope what im about to write not so boring.
    Got a favor to ask you if you can help. I have an 07 Honda Odyssey and been trying to finish the instalation of the after market remote starter i bought last week and the honda - SL3 bypass module that i purchased together with the previous also after market remote starter a few years ago, but lost the installation guide so couldnt try to put it in the van. since i've been out of work and staying home order due to the nasty stuff out there so i thought i could try to put in a remote starting system but got stuck on it now. the connections seem to look ok except maybe i'll have to connect the wire has something to do with tach programing? but it says (optional) so i dint try to connect it besides i didnt know where to find that wire from the van. I was able to get it started a couple of times but shut off within 3 seconds. Any ideas of what else could have been done correctly ? By the way, the horn never honked at all during programming! any's one help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    You need the odd colored wire, NOT the common one

    Lessco, why not grab it at the ECM connector which should be closer to the R/S unit?

    • @Lesscoelectronics
      @Lesscoelectronics  5 лет назад

      It depends on the car, some you can do that others not so much..

      @@Lesscoelectronics I meant under the dash, the tach wire always runs to the dash and thus can be tested but I agree that it is usually wound up together in a large harness at that point which could make the job harder as opposed to running the wire. I have a question though, for toyota sienna 2007, the tach says it should be black orange but as most people and manuals have identified it, that color wire is in the middle of the harness, what I have is a white wire in place if where the tach wire should be. Any ideas?

      @@Lesscoelectronics I found the plug but the intended color wire location is not where it should be, I will be testing using the AC method on the DVOM and will see which is the right wire.

    My dodge ram, has factory "keyles entry/alarm" with remote start and window roll down using own key fob, can I add a viper alarm system with all the Bella and whistles and control it with my factory key fob?

    Hello, I have 2 questions please: 1. My car has a tachometer in the dashboard and I know which wire has the signal for it, can I use this wire that feeds this tach to feed the tach input of the remote start system?. If the answer is NO then, I know which wire takes to the computer the information about crankshaft and camshaft position sensors, so can I use any of them to feed the tach input of the remote start system? (I assume yes, but It's always listen to a second opinion)... and thank you very much....

      Lessco Electronics hello, I solved the issue with the tach wire, I connected to the wire that feeds the tachometer in the cluster and the remote start is working like a charm. But I have a new question, I find the range of my 5706v very poor (less than 200m with a visual of the vehicle trough a glass window), so I wanna ask you based on your experience with those systems (that seems to be huge) if there’s an specific place in the vehicle where you recommend me to place the control center for the best reception. It’s currently taped at the top of the front windshield just behind the mirror, but I’ve heard that it should be at 4 inches from the very top of the windshield... so In any case what’s your recommendation?

    • @Lesscoelectronics

      Yes, its totally fine to use it for both

    So why did you do this? I don't understand what the intention is behind attatching it to the injector

    • @JosephRussell-f3f
      @JosephRussell-f3f 7 месяцев назад

      What he's trying to do is supply his alarm/remote start system with a tachometer signal from the engine, using the electric pulse given to the fuel injector. ( Although in the picture it shows him using the Ignition coil but the principle is still the same as the engine runs faster the signal pulse increases at the same rate) This is done to let the Remote start no when the engine has started and to stop cranking the starter. It's also done for safety. For instance, if the remote start is activated and the engine for some reason starts revving out of control. The remote start system knows from the high tach signal that something is wrong and shuts the engine off.
