I'm going to throw this out there now, Giants clearly need to get MrSealyP to do an "Uncle Albert" (from Only Fools & Horses) type NPC for the UK expansion! 😁
Imagine selling a load of grain to the Farmers Market and leaving with less money because Del Boy works there and sold you a van load of Latvian Chablis. 😁

Ok, so we all have a Grandpa on our UK maps with an American accent 😂
We should have a Northern Irish Grandpa, he sound like “ Oih mucker!! Get that field done nae or you’ll get a slap in the back of the face “

This could be a similar system to the missions in FS17 but now with interactive farmers. We will wait and see I guess

This game truly is the future!!
I love the idea of NPC's in game and will be interesting to see if modders incorporate them in maps.
I also like how Giants farm buildings also have wear and aging on them,not looking brand new
And there is that paperboat again, see it bevore in that building that must be renovate. Will there be collectibles in FS 25
GIANTS!!! Give us the neighbors farmers daughter that is critical of everything we attempt to do AND randomly shows up at our yard with better equipment than we have AND goes on endlessly about the virtues of her equipment AND optional farmers son for the ladies

I wonder how complicated it would be to implement different languages? Imagine having the opportunity to submit your lines and giants chose to have it in game, that would be awesome
Personally, I would’ve preferred more feedback in the form of alerts, like great demand at XYZ. What would be even better is to see equipment working on neighboring farms. Something like that would be more immersive than some goofy character. If I want animated storytelling I’ll go to Disneyland.
I'm totally with you... NPCs were nowhere near the top of my wishlist for features. I'm not quite sure if I'm even going to get FS25 if this is all they are adding.
It's a new way to give tutorials to new users.
What I want to know is, are we stuck with the riverbend springs NPC's on modmaps, or can modders make custom NPC's with different voices to suit certain regions or locations. This would be especially awesome for maps based on farms seen in various RUclips videos, like Welkers, MN Millennial, Tom Pemberton, maybe even Ewetube, etc.
Be especially awesome for the mod map I've been making since FS19 based on my family’s old farm, as who knows, I could get my dad to sit down and voice a couple lines as a Granpa-esk mentor character for Nelly Creek specifically.
The possibilities are endless, so long as they do it right

I really hope it is, I can see it now.. Paul McRantypants, owns a small farm somewhere, sometimes gives missions, will burst into rant at any given opportunity about artisanal products and amusing topics, has loads of life stories and so on! 😁

Great feature they have added sort of a "roleplay" element to it GG's Giants. Now they have ditched the old gen consoles there is so much more potential for this game to grow and add more realism, also looks like later next year they might be adding a UK map of there own design. Which would be interesting, Does this also confirm as well that there will be options in the character editor before you start a game to have an older character model in the game? Beard looks fuller and new as well a lot more detailed and realistic compared to fs22.
I dont personally care about chatting with grandpa, but some people are being way too pessimistic as usual. This feature has huge modding potential.

I don't know...I'm less and less excited about the new release. The more I see and hear about it, the less impressed I am. I was hoping they would do more with the engine...bigger maps...and a lot more things other than gimmicky stuff and some new crops. I am not wanting or needing twisters, more crops like grapes and olives (rice) or talking NPCs. I'm definitely waiting this one out. I will get excited when my favorite mods come out and some good large maps come out. I am holding out until at least the new year before I decide to purchase this one.
Can't blame ya. This boutique feature is really dumbing down the game, and it seems giants is following the road of Westwood studios.
I do agree that incorporating bigger 4x maps standard would of been a big selling point and the elimination of twisters/tornados but instead have natural disasters such as droughts and floods would of been a better option imo. But apart from that everything else mentioned thus far seems to bring more to the table immersion wise imo.
Like some have already said i'm intrigued to see what modders can do with this game.
It’s simplified the game taking care of animals on 19 need you to use the loader instead of just appearing in the manure bunker

It's cool but people really got excited over a 25 sec. Clip ??
Why not? People get entitled and angry over a 25 sec clip.
I'm assuming it's a work in progress but that character is seriously unheimlich.
Let's just hope this game doesn't turn out like Cities Skylines 2 which looked promising but ended up being a colossal flop because they focused so much on the fluff that they forgot about the actual core gameplay mechanics.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice little touch. But how long will it last before it gets repetitive and boring. 🥱
Do we have to always approach these certain members of NPC, to get a contract.
Do the NPCs go to bed at night time? do they stay there all the time. I dunno.
It would be nice if they said, Grandpa #1 will be available between 9am morning till 5pm evening. Then you’ll not see him until next day.
And sometimes they’ll move to different locations and won’t always be at the same locations
That’ll be something interesting to see or find out.
