Welcome back Charlie, it is a relief to all concerned that you have been able to fight off the usurpers and successfully regain control of your own channel. In regard to the Coupe High Rider from TMC, the mpg was better than expected but why is it saddled with 'last generation' engine and transmission? The current 2.0 as found in the Corolla hatch would undoubtedly increase efficiency while adding a substantial boost in power.
I average 30-33 in town and 37 on the highway. They do have drive modes you have to change in the instrument-cluster near speedometer. About 350 miles a tank when I get to 1/4. Love her. So affordable.
I have a 2021 C-HR that I love but I don’t know why when I fill up completely I only have between 235-245 range and average between 25-27mpg..is anyone else experiencing this or should I get it checked out? I have 4555 miles on my car currently.
I believe there is a Hybrid version of this car in Europe, that obtains excellent MPG, I am sure in your test you MPG with the hybrid would be in the high 40's. Why Toyota does not sell the hybrid version here is beyond my pay grade, but now with gasoline $4 - $7 a gallon and even more MPG is now a top issue when buying a vehicle.
1:58 So a 2021 C-HR doesn't have drive modes? I got Eco/Normal/Sport in a 2019 LE. Does that mean the 2021 C-HR is stuck in Eco? Since you have a Leaf Eco Indicator.
@@moeanthony9308 Thats not correct. The car does not start in eco, when in eco mode there is a green ligth that appears on the dash. I have worked for Toyota for several years. you have to select the mode you want to be in. It does not automatically start off in eco.
@@toddcrumbaker1207 Bro. I have owned two chrs both start in eco mode. It does not start in sport or normal unless you change to get rid of the green eco. Other wise when you restart it reset automatically to eco. You have to adjust using the buttons and go through the settings. I too worked for Toyota. So no idea what you are talking about.
My Toyota 1.8 hybrid is claiming on the dash board readings to do 55mpg. Having looked up on Google maps and Waze the actual miles travelled mpg is only 33mpg. This is a huge difference and will be doing more real world test to see if this is accurate. If this is the case, many manufacturers may be misleading customers. This being true means people claiming back milage for tax purposes may inadvertantly be giving false numbers making them liable for fraud!
you know its 1800CC engine it will drink the juice fast if not in ev ..hybrids are done for stop and go traffic.. for long trips its not efficient unless ur doing 60kmh in toyotas..but honda new EHEV changed this rule.... hope it helps
the more you use it, the better it should be at computing your range. mine said that when I first got it, but now it says 354, but I easily get closer to 370-400 per full tank

Great vehicle. Underestimated
Really I just got one, and I'm learning it
is this mpg or kpl?
I want this car, but also wish it was slighty longer, like a wagon.
Great work! Thank you

Use cruise control
I have the 2019 Toyota C-HR and I use the cruise control religiously, and yet I get between 21-23 mpg, I have 50,354 miles on the vehicle.
Maybe you have set up different driving mode
You're lucky,my toyota chr average is 20-21.

Maybe Toyota is afraid it won't be able to sell the ugly prius any more
I have a 2021 chr one a full tank I get 280 miles. Should I have it checked.
1:19 Charlie forgot to look left 😂 stay safe man can’t be getting hurt
I peaked! I ain't afraid of no Rogue.
Btw, Nissan Armada, what are your thoughts? We've got one today for the Live Drive.
@@DailyMotor it’s alright I mean it’s a classic overpriced Nissan that’s “all new” but still about 3-5 years behind on technology

My 21 has the drive modes....not that you can really tell the differences. Coming from a Focus ST, its all soft and all slow.
I own a 2021 CH-R and it does have 3 different drive modes. You can control them in the center screen under settings. You have Eco, Sport, and Normal.
@@toddcrumbaker1207 Yes but each time you start engine it starts in eco. When you change while car on and then shut off it reverts back to eco.

Interesting video. It would be good to see the same journey in the CHR Hybrid.
Agreed, but for some odd reason, we don't get that here in the States.
@@DailyMotor Sadly, we only get the hybrid now in the UK. 1.8 and 2.0 litre engines.

I am getting 59miles/gallon (UK) on my Toyota CHR 2017.
Good mpg review. Is the 2.0 liter engine in the CHR the same as the 2.0 in the Corolla cross?
The C-HR / Corolla and Prius share the same drive trains so it should be.
Good job. I really the music with this video.
Great work! Engine displacement 1.8 or 2.0? Thanks
2.0
Was your range counter anywhere near close to actual range?
I have 2.0 petrol one, fantastic gas mileage on the highway, really struggles in the city though, just city driving with traffic it 22-24 mpg
What gas mileage you have on the higway? I have 37 mpg on 130-140 km/h
22??? That’s shocking I thought my old Auris had a bad city mpg at 34mpg. Was really considering this as an upgrade.
@@sebtur1272 This is a very good mpg. What engine is yours ? what is your fuel consumption with 140-150km/h ?
Like how no one even mentioned the AE86 in the background
How much?
quite a nice car
When I fill up why does it say I only get 240 miles ?! Shouldn't I be getting over 400

EPA must of had too many Drinks.

Want this car in a hybrid model the fuel mileage isn't impressive
