    Masssss Na.
    Even me too started my investment at 26 which is october 2020. Yes just before the corona drop in markets. And during the corona drop I was keep on investing. I was not analysing the stock pin to the point.
    But I was keep on investing those stocks which is at un imaginable low price. Eveb after market regains its lost level. I didn't stopped investing. Now my portfolio es at 50% return 😄😄😄
    Parallel I was investing using SIP in Index funds. Yes Sice that too was through the pandemic drop that is also at 25%
    Now my age is 27 If am stop investing and if I am not touching the invested money. And if the total value in stock market(which is Investment + Return) grows at rate of 15% for 25 years which is till 51 or 52 I will have enough money to retire comfortably.
    This market drop makes a noob investor like me into a good investor. The only golden rule that I followed was Buy don't sell even if it is at loss when u belive the stock is worth

    • @InvestmentInsightsTamil
      @InvestmentInsightsTamil  3 года назад +1

      That is great to hear. Good financial planning at young age will help you reach unimaginable heights when you are close to the retirement.
      Just watch out for those direct stock investments. Make sure that you are able to consistently beat the index. When you see that you are lagging, it is totally OK to accept that and move everything into an Index fund.
      Also, do not expect the market to give 15% return. Have a low expectation for your planning purposes - say 10-12%. That way the surprise, if there is any, will be on the positive side for you in the future.
      Good Luck!

      We had two investment streams going in parallel. Our yearly contribution to our US retirement accounts + investment thru brokerage. The retirement account contribution happened every year to Index funds. But the brokerage account was contributed originally when we opened the account in 2009. Since then we did not contribute additional money until we paid off our home in 2017. Since 2017, all excess savings is going into brokerage.

      We should not be changing the investments for the scenario. But we should be changing it for the goals. For long term investment, check my stocks portfolio video. You can add debt funds to your portfolio based on your risk profile. General recommendation is to have your age % as debt funds. You can adjust it to your needs.

  • @jonesandrew3377

    Hi Sir, I agree with your statement on buying a house but my question is what if the rent and emi is equal. I bought house when I was 26 that is during 2021 with the same strategy. But emi tenure seems to 30 Years. By copying one of your strategy I figured a way out of it within 15 Years. So Is it okay if emi amount and our rent is the same.?

    • @InvestmentInsightsTamil
      @InvestmentInsightsTamil  2 года назад

      Is there a down payment for the home? What would you do with that down payment money if you do not buy the home? That would be opportunity cost that you need to consider. Other than that, yes if emi and rent are same, the monthly cash flow is essentially same for you. You can definitely buy the home.

    Sir I’m sorry.. I understand your investment journey some extent but I have many questions on 40x returns. And in your case so far stock market was down only 10% in past 14 years (40x might change in future also - I know you understand it. Specifying for viewers). If we put X=100,000 USD, in 14 years did it grow to 4.5 millions? How much growth % in stocks (index and individual) like an example? How much growth% in real estate? And how much % contributed from savings to investment account - monthly or yearly? We don’t need your personal details.. just an example for two person income, saving, growth.. could you make walk thru it like one persona or example amount? I really appreciate your input. Thank you 🙏

      Nasdaq 100 index was at 1185 in 2009. Now it is at 17350. 19.5% CAGR in 15 years. I did not invest in Nasdaq 100 index. But I am just showing how it is possible. As I mentioned in the episode, all from equity. Nothing on any other assets. All other information is already in the episode (50% savings rate etc.). Good questions, but do not skip the video.

      @@InvestmentInsightsTamil Sir, Thank you very much for your response. Yes I'm watching your videos, still I'm trying to understand your Equity investment journey well instead of assumptions. In the above example, I see that Nasdaq 100 index from 2009 to 2024 (15 Years) growing percentage 13x or 1300% or 19.5 CAGR/ 19x or 1900 percentage. However, what about remaining 20x to get 40x return (is that invested in another fund/ stock)? In the video, It multiplies 2x every year meaning 200% return growth. And I also understand Equity market is too good since 2008 until now - Based on historical data, in your opinion how much a person can get a return within 15 years? Low, medium and high percentage return 40x?

      @@InvestmentInsightsTamil If possible Please share any suggestion to defer tax payments when we get 30x or 40x returns in brokerage accounts.

      @@senthilkumar5You are missing the contribution from 50% savings every year.
      8 to 10% average return is what we should expect. Anything more would be a bonus.

      Sure. They both can be included as part of networth. But I will not count them in my FIRE calculator though, if that is what you are asking.
