Masssss Na. Even me too started my investment at 26 which is october 2020. Yes just before the corona drop in markets. And during the corona drop I was keep on investing. I was not analysing the stock pin to the point. But I was keep on investing those stocks which is at un imaginable low price. Eveb after market regains its lost level. I didn't stopped investing. Yes Sice that too was through the pandemic drop that is also at 25% Now my age is 27 If am stop investing and if I am not touching the invested money. And if the total value in stock market(which is Investment + Return) grows at rate of 15% for 25 years which is till 51 or 52 I will have enough money to retire comfortably. This market drop makes a noob investor like me into a good investor. The only golden rule that I followed was Buy don't sell even if it is at loss when u belive the stock is worth
That is great to hear. Good financial planning at young age will help you reach unimaginable heights when you are close to the retirement. Just watch out for those direct stock investments. Make sure that you are able to consistently beat the index. When you see that you are lagging, it is totally OK to accept that and move everything into an Index fund. Also, do not expect the market to give 15% return. Have a low expectation for your planning purposes - say 10-12%. That way the surprise, if there is any, will be on the positive side for you in the future. Good Luck!
