97 cobra are wicked. If you could swap c heads and lower manifold from a terminator you can use terminator blowers on it or you could just swap an entire terminator motor into its a great upgrade for that style cobra as it already has a 4v anyways so it's a simple swap. Terminators have much better positive displacement blowers available for them than the b head 4v like yours. A 4v with a modern tvs is a force to be dealt with.

The one thing I hate about my car is it's a convertible I can get it to go down by the button but can't get it go back up
@@lollis_garage3683 imma ask you a question I have a 94 gt 5.0 HO with a comp 490/510 cam had bought new roller lifters and 3spring valve springs. I know the HO has 2 ways to do the firing sequence 1234 on the passenger and 5678 on the driver side also meaning 13726548. We set the distributor at 10°BTDC and we can not get in time at all. When it idles up when it gets warmed up it sounds like its spitting and popping. But when we dropped the new cam in we made sure we had clearance. There was no impressions in the play dough whatsoever so we put it back together and got her running g like a top and we have no power at all so we tore it back down and the pushrod are bent. What would cause this
Jesse Love the only Thing I can think of is valves sticking, and you set the timing 10 degrees before tdc? If so you need to advance it to 14 degrees positive base timing
Your car looks good. I’m trying to do some upgrades to my 95. BBK cai, tb, off-road x pipe, and much more to come. However, I am a bit confused. My gt has different badges and a completely different rear end. On my fenders I have 302 and script-not block- got badges. Then on the rear end my taillights are sideways, my deck lid has the stock gt spoiler, and the bumper has mustang gt. Couldn’t tell if your bumper had the same indents but I know the other things are for sure different. Did you use panels and things from other cars? Or did yours come like this?
Bryant Walker my car has he factory badges the 302 on your car someone probably installed before you got it. My deck lid has had the wing removed and holes filled, but thanks man and thanks for the comment! Oh and my taillights are from 96 to 98 mustangs the sideways light are 94 to 95 mustangs. 👍🏼
tunadavis2787 I used the trickflow 11r heads 190cc Intake runners and 56cc combustion chambers, I used just a standard letter cam, went with the e303, which is 498 intake lift 498 exhaust lift and 220 degrees of duration at .50 and 110 lsa
It's basically plug and play. I put 97 tails in my old 94 they hooked right up they aren't exact but it's close enough to plug in and work. Far as the light itself it bolts directly in place of the stock light.
No lol. The overhead cam is pretty simplistic design. It isn't hard to work on or mod. They make as much power as pushrod cars stock and modified same with torque and with the same mods they make similar power. The mod motor cars have a higher ceiling when built they can make a ton of power with their original block and forged internals where a pushrod car also needs an aftermarket block to make big reliable power (600-800+ rwhp).
Headers are probably more difficult on mod motor cars because they're wider. Other than that most other things aren't really any more difficult. You can make similar power on both with stock bottom end but when both have forged internals the stock 4.6 block aluminum or iron can make way more power reliably than a pushrod 302. The 351 can make good power too but unfortunately wasn't offered in anything outside the 95 cobra r after like 1973.
First car I bought was a 98 gt got from a old lady for 1500 bucks it was a nitrous car her an her husband street raced before he pasted an ever since then I loved them there durable and can make them fast

Awesome video and channel. And that’s a damn fine pony. I just recently bought a 98 v6 sn95 3.8/4r70w for $500. Problem was that a squirrel chewed through a lot of wires here and there. I got what I thought was all the wires back together and even got it to say something. But I had no fire to the inertia switch or pump though the 20amp fuse was sending it. So I looked a little closer and found a harness that runs right beside and plugs into the 4r70w. Anyone happen to know what that harness is called and if it can cause fuel pump to not get fire? Also tail lights not working. So 3 things total at the back of the car not working. Sorry to take up so much space on your comment section.
Mike Voss I appreciate it 👍🏼 and that’s sounds like a good deal on the car and as far as your wiring issues go it may be best to get a harness off a junk car or new harness online I don’t think they are to expensive, and there not hard to change at all so that’s what I would personally do, but I definitely appreciate the comment and view! 👍🏼

Derek Fodrocy yeah if you build the 5.0 pushrod motors right they can make some serious power! And I would have loved to have a actual cobra, but being I got this car at a good price I couldn’t turn it down. Thanks for the comment! 👍🏼
@@lollis_garage3683 yes I've seen all kinds of new edge and s197 mustang channels but yes finally sn95
Derek Fodrocy yeah man I’m trying to grow and be successful with it, and there are very few sn95 channels, so I figured why not!
@@lollis_garage3683 good luck I love the old 5.0 and classic sound but maybe try irs swap and coyote???
Nice ride. I have a 97 with a 04 engine and yes long tube headers are a big project on a 4.6 car they are still sitting in the corner of my garage.
Yes doing headers on one really isn’t fun but can be done lol
I think the New Edge's looks are superior. But I'd still like to have a 5.0.
i understand how you feel but my 4.6 is easy to work on & the cat delete does the exhaust justice but the headers..yeah its a tight fit. Stang Gang
I love my 94 gt 5.0 HO my favorite thing about my car is that it's a 94 which only requires a safety inspection there for it has no cats it's true dual flowmasters straight out of the back and it is very loud I have the loudest car in my town. The one thing I hate about my car is it's a convertible I can get it to go down by the button but can't get it go back up
Jesse Love I absolutely love my car. I haven’t had a car yet that I’ve been this attached to. 👍🏼
What would cause this
Jesse Love what kind of rockers you got?
@@lollis_garage3683 factory
Jesse Love the only Thing I can think of is valves sticking, and you set the timing 10 degrees before tdc? If so you need to advance it to 14 degrees positive base timing
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 very good!
BustedKnuckleProduction oh okay awesome. Well it looks cool af. Excited to see what you post in the future.
Bryant Walker thanks bro!
The car is looking good bro👍
Robert Marin 27 Thanks man I appreciate it! 👍🏼
I'm building a couple 94 gts can you send the the specs on what heads and cam etc you used?
tunadavis2787 I used the trickflow 11r heads 190cc Intake runners and 56cc combustion chambers, I used just a standard letter cam, went with the e303, which is 498 intake lift 498 exhaust lift and 220 degrees of duration at .50 and 110 lsa
How did u get the newer tail lights to fit in the 95?
It's basically plug and play. I put 97 tails in my old 94 they hooked right up they aren't exact but it's close enough to plug in and work. Far as the light itself it bolts directly in place of the stock light.
Dang! I wish my car was that clean! One day..if i keep it ;-)
HorsePlay Motoring thanks bro! And if you keep it man I’m sure you’ll have it as clean as mine!! Thanks for the comment!
What shift knob is that? Looks really cool
NAV789LAG got it from LMR.com 👍🏼
Is a 97 sn95 4.6 that much more difficult to work on then the 95 5.0?
Easy
Michael Williams yes sir I love how affordable these cars are to build and they are pretty reliable👍🏼
Nice headlight knob delete 👍
wow... you did an awesome job brotha! I have a 95 mustang on my channel, I want it to be that clean, but man your stang is beautiful!
RollOver Bandit707 thank you 🙏🏼 but keep working on it and you’ll get it there!👍🏼
I again agree with everything except my cast is 4.6 cobra and I love it except... wait you might be right it is really tight to work on... lmao.... ok you might be 5 for 5 on this one.
Love your car and the vid.. but the 4.6 is definitely not hard to work on. Rebuilt and installed mine in about 3 days.
Western Washington Outdoors yeah I should have worded it differently lol, there not hard to work on but the 5.0 is still easier. I appreciate the comment and support!👍🏼👍🏼
I'm glad your car is fixed, but what about the old F100?
Leonard Walters yes sir I’m planning to start the tear videos down next week! I know I’ve been slacking on it lol but soon she’ll be making her way to the channel again. Thanks for the comment
Sounds mean bro
🕸JACK from PHILLY 🕸 thanks bro!
No problem bro I'm looking to get a mustang some time soon
🕸JACK from PHILLY 🕸 that’s awesome sir, what year you planning on getting?
I don't want a fox body probably around 08 gt any suggestions? Wish I could afford a Terminator haha
🕸JACK from PHILLY 🕸 the 08 is good, and man I wish I could afford a terminator too lol 😂 but where I am the cheapest ones are around 20 to 25 thousand. I’m actually a fan of the Fox body but honestly anything from 94 to 08 would be a great project car sir, I wish you the best of luck in your search though! 👍🏼
