Nice job John. Fine video and tutorial on your flights as you progress safely. Sounds like you’ve surrounded yourself with good instructors and mentors. What I love about a Falcon (a great performance wing ) it allows a new pilot to set the bar low for glide angle goals. When time comes to step up to higher performance wings and think Falcon range… one should never get stuck short.
Awesome video. Lived in SB back in 2000 and have fond memories of flying Eliminator. I don't remember the power lines, but I recall one flight where I squeaked into lowers (couldn't make uppers) since my glide slope matched the ridge slope. Got too low at the tit and shot the road slot gap. Luckily, little John gave me a radio call that I was low and should head out. Was new to the area at the time so was on the fence.
Hi! Nice too see you getting more relaxed flights. It is good because you can devote more time to improve another skills. Try more to 'feel' those thermals. And try thermaling more aggressively. Bank that wing like trying to turn around pole. Also your next gear upgrade should be real vario. P.S. that intro was realy good. Fun and informative. It reminded me on youtube videos from Limitless www.youtube.com/@SaulGood.
Entertaining video, thanks John.
Your enthusiasm for flying is contagious! 😊👍
Thank you! 😷
