This piece is the ultimate sense of depth.
Absolutely beautiful, A great choice of an artist to perform...Ritcher is one of the best emotional composers of our day.
The departure suite brings me to tears every time.
You can add Johann Johansson, but yes, he is definitely my favorite composer.

The part for the piano is so beautifully articulated. With faint ostinatos it adds to the emotion of the cello.
It smells like death, it's cleaning my soul, it makes me happy and delighted as well as making me sad and depressed at the same time, it's just indescribable! Music comosers especially Hans Zimmer, Max Ritcher and Ludovico Einaudi aren't from this planet 🖤!

Yeah, if you live in your head, cut off from your feelings.
You obviously don't know the difference between sentimentality and real deeply felt emotion. This piece, to anyone with some kind of pulse still going on that is, obviously is the latter. Sentimentality is fake, plastic emotion and yes, Americans do tend to be sentimental people, but this music certainly does not fall into this category.
Additionally, if you watch the equally beautiful tv series The Leftovers, you'd realize how wrong you are, there's nothing fake about it and the music Richter created for it.

There are soooo many pieces of music better than this superficial and synthetic fake of a piece. No genuine emotion is felt, only exaggerated melancholy. Absolutely terrible
