  • My favorite way to use our extra eggs from our backyard chickens is to make homemade quiche. This is my go to pie crust recipe from my mother, that I use for quiche and fruit pies. Its very flaky and flavorful like a puff pastry, and I know you'll love it too!

Hey Y'all, Fun video nice to see y'all doing something new!! I'm 60 now and have making pies since I was little with my mom, pecan, sweet potato and pumpkins top three I make. I have never heard of the foil blind cooking or the pie weights!!! I am going to look into those ideas today.
My wife loves poblano pepper chili rellenos. So I fow so many poblano peppers. I cut up all my peppers in the fall into freezer bags and each kind into its own bag with the name on it. Then a pinch or handful into any thing works. Even scrambled eggs with diced poblanos tastes like a chili relleno. I do all the cooking at my house she does a breakfast every couple weeks. So I love any cooking video I watch 20-30 every week and read recipes on line and cookbooks because I want everything I make to be as professional as possible.
Cya next time bye for now

There's nothing like hommemade quiche. My mom makes quiche every Christmas morning. My favorite is a classic broccoli and cheese. I've never put cream cheese in my pie crusts but I'm going to have to try it. Thanks for the recipe.

My mom used to make her pie crusts in a food processor. It's a bit more crumbly, but you still come out with the same result in the end.

@@BockBockBouquet thank you. Had one crack in first week due ng candling so I use the gel super glue trick as that's all I had on hand. Getting little worried about him breaking through. I did make a little air hole this morning. I was pretty sure last night was 24 hours in air sac. He's my underdog, lol. Thank you for your answer Hun!!
