As it is said in the video, it's just for showing the graphic improvements over the years. When it comes to the games themselves, both have their strong sides.
Plotwise the 2005th one was better because the 2012 edition of Most Wanted has no story what so ever, all that is said is that you need to defeat 10 blacklist members who apparently don't have names and are called by the cars they drive.
When it comes to physics, i can't really decide which one is better. As you may have noticed from some of my previous videos, the new most wanted... it's like it doesn't even have gravity, drifting is real easy and fun and crashing and destroying other cars will certainly keep you entertained, the only downside that i found is that when your car flips over you are automatically "crashed" and after some artistic camera angles your car resets stopping you from flipping around, doing backflips, barrel rolls and such stuff.
The new Most Wanted doesn't have any visual customization except changing the color of the car by going through gas stations.
Overall i guess the new Most Wanted isn't that bad, but i wouldn't call it better or worse than the old one, they both have some up sides and down sides and they're both special in their own ways..

But still the pursuits seem to go well. And also the Audio. The 2012 version also has a RADIO, so that u DON'T HAVE TO HEAR THAT ANNOYING BUZZING SOUND OF THE ENGINE EVERYTIME. It is so annoying.
Also the destruction are also very realistic. 2012 is better in graphics but it lacks in story ONLY. More cars, more upgrades of them. Also, u don't have ANY SAFE HOUSES TO SAVE URSELF FROM PURSUITS, u have to escape them not hide like a coward. But still there is NO STORY AT ALL in 2012 version. The 2005 rocks in the Story Time.
Also, don't forget that 2012 version HAS REAL PHYSICS THAN 2005.
I kinda have to agree with you on that, the 2012 version did have better physics. I've played the 2005 version and I hate it whenever my car slides around uncontrollably at some turns for no reason, and it does this weird burnout whenever I move from a stopped position. Whereas in the 2012 version, you get a smooth take off and you have more control at turns. I love both games, I think if they combine 2005's story and customization with 2012's graphics and physics, it would probably be one awesome game!

DickCheeseACTION I actually moved forward to NFS Rivals. So I guess, I was only giving my opinion on that game. Well, I am more of a FPS Shooter type of gamer. These are the only two racing games that I have ever played. When I finished NFS(2012) I moved to NFS Rivals. SO CHILL DUDE!!!!

@@lllKTG Maybe because the game feels rewarding compared to the new version that's you can find many supercars around the city and not even caring starting a slow car but going immediately to drive the beast and then you know that all the other cars are useless and you always gonna use the fastest for all your races

If you for example choose nissan gtr, your not gonna race against a piece of shit lawn mower but against enemies with similar cars and there are easy, medium and hard races for each car. Similar thing is with forza games where there are for example muscle car tier, or supercar tier. No matter what car you are using your gonna race against a similar cars anyway.

The 2012 game has better graphics/textures,sound which is no surprise,because it's been 7 years apart.
BUT,the 2005 MW is still the far superior game.It has a great career mode(the Blacklist),which keeps you motivated,it's challenging and rewarding,you can customise your cars(specially if you play on PC and download mods,you have lots of options).It has a great variety of different races,the Milestone Events are great(like ''hit 5 police cars and get away'' etc.) the police chases are generally cool and the whole game is just fun to play.

Did 3 different runs as a kid: A regular run, a pinkslip run and a junkman run. Each time I got a glich where despite getting enough bounty and completing all the races and milestones, Razor can't be challenged.

Nfsmw 2005 graphics looks like taken from straight out of memories compared to 2012.even if it's not much advanced, it looks mesmerizing

While I do think that nfsu2 is the best in the franchise, mw2005 does come in at a close second. I mean for a game made in 2005, the graphics were ahead of their time, they added cinematic cutscenes and they brought back cops
If EA listened to one person and did whatever they wanted they better be someone who loved the old urban games and not someone who likes having the best car in 10 seconds and then only changing its color.

NFS MW 2005 was the best NFS game ever . It had more civilian cars than underground 2 . It had Blacklists , It had Police that will chase and barricade you , It had a meter of how you are away from the police (kind of like outrun races in NFSU2) It had a police car sensor , It had Lamborghinis , And yes the most important thing is gameplay , the graphics could be made into GTA V graphic by increasing your level of detail . And I still play it , after 10 years when it was released

2012 is a good game but it was ruined by having the Most Wanted name on its title. I don't know why Criterion and EA decided to do that (maybe they thought it will attract more consumers?) but it was an incredibly stupid decision to name it Most Wanted honestly.
Most Wanted 2012 graphics + Most Wanted 2005 storyline and physics + Carbon vinyl customization + Underground 1 bonus car unlocks + World Map +a selection of the best cars from various NFS games = Racing heaven.
Customization from u2 is better than carbon. nfs pro street physics is better than mw.

a lot of game franchises have gone downhill over the last years, look at gta, gta 5 wasn't nearly as good as gta san andreas or gta 4, or even any gta since 3, but then there's the witcher franchise, the first games where not that good and then the witcher 3 came out and it was amazing, bethesda is keeping strong too, call off duty has become from a good arcade shooter to absolute shit.

Simple video editing in Sony Vegas. If you're familiar with the program, in the each Audio track you have a slider called "Pan" that you can use to set the ammount of sound sent to the speakers. If you move it to the left, more audio will be sent to the left speaker and less to the right, if you move it completely to the left, 100% of the audio will be going through the left speaker. Then you just simply pan 1 sound to the right speaker, the other one to the left and you're done in less than 5 seconds :)

I am going to make the same comparison I've made every single time this argument comes up. In MW2005, to challenge Sonny, you had to do 3 races, at least 2 police milestones and 2 speedtraps. In MW2012, you smash 3 billboards and do a couple jumps and that's all you need.
MW2005 was the reason so many people know NFS to this day. MW2012 was Criterion's poor attempt at a "remaster"

I like 2012 for the dumb fun, sometimes you don't need a story or a point to have fun, just look at the pre blackbox nfs games, they are loved just as much as the blackbox games and they have no story or customization, just focused on pure racing. Heck, the 2010 hot pursuit is basically a modern rendition of the old need for speeds, with no story and no customization. 2012 is just the odd one out due to it being rushed and having "most wanted" in its title, dragging it down. It just sucks that racing games now try to have stories, which actually makes the game worse *cough* *cough* newer need for speeds *cough* *cough* . My only problem with 2012 is that there is really not much of a progressing system, maybe thats why online in this game is still good since it actually has some progression to it unlike single player.

I completed both games in 100% and, man, what a cool experince, both games are very good, the 2012 have cool graphics, a SUPER COOL Multiplayer and beautiful cars sounds, why you guys think 2012 is so bad? Just because it have Most Wanted on the title? Oh, c'mon! Give it a break, it don't have NOTHING about 2005, it's not even on Rockport, and it don't have any car from the 2005 blacklist, just the BMW M3 GTR on a DLC, and the game is more focused on overporwered cars so, please, don't talk bad about MW 2012 just because it have Most Wanted in the title!

Overall I'd say the new one's better. One thing I hated in the original is when sometimes I would get into a slide and can't get out of it. The only thing the original game has that I miss is the Speed Breaker. Oh and the Pursuit Breakers

Guys, I totally agree with u all but the 2012 edition is edited by Criterion Games. Meaning the game overall feels like an arcade game just like NFS Rivals. NFS Hot Pursuit 2 and NFS MW 2005 are the best rated NFS games to date!!! No worries about the new games being released, also to point out CG (Criterion Games) won't stop making NFS games because there share in EA to high and they earning to much $$$. There's only one way the new games will every beat the old ones (Go back to gameplay) keep off the graphics!

man2803 PS2 version of Undercover is nothing else than a bit changed Most Wanted. The differences might be noticible in graphics, soundtrack, some level roads, the cars, which are a bit from MW and a bit from Carbon and some game modes. But yes, I have to admit, that playing PS2 version was even fun, when PC version, wasn't at all (PS2 version completed twice, PC... only once, I couldn't make it at the second time).

In the comparison of audio, Right vs left, I have to say that 2005's audio for cars seems more appealing to me. Idk, I just feel it sounds more aggressive for some reason.

MW 2012 ruined the series. We expected much better thing that this. Especially when it comes to Most wanted, it's still the king of the whole series even after 17 years of it's release.

This makes 2012 look amazing except the full game sucked in comparison. No real customization is what fucked NFS every year after Carbon. Did Pro Street have any? I can't remember. Undercover I think had some. But it was less every time. So glad they FINALLY listened and so far from every pieces of news, interview and video I've gathered, it seems like my perfect NFS finally coming to reality! And imagining them doing even more in the future hopefully following this path excites me even more! Hopefully they do a NFS World reboot of some sorts but less Free-to-play/Pay-to-win and more of an actual 1-time-purchase game. I don't mind DLC but fuck F2P. It ruined NFS World for me. But the idea of online and having older cities from older games was awesome!

Ah yes, I remember playing the original Most Wanted when I was still a kid, I was probably 7 or 8 when I almost finished Black Edition, if not for the fucking glitch where the game suddenly freezes when a certain song plays. A song that I now despise because of this.

you just can't compare the gameplay of the classic, 2005 most wanted with... this thing... Even though the new one doesn't really have bad gameplay, it doesn't come even close to the old one. Also, i can't really compare gameplay in a video, you have to feel the cars to see it yourself :)
