just came here after reading in an old newspaper about a shooting match in Peterhead drill hall between three local teams, using morris tubes in 1909. Never heard of this before. Thanks for a great demo!
Thanks for the information. It is going into a book I'm writing. The Volunteers (Pre TA) used this is Lee Metfords and Lee Enfields when firing at miniutre ranges located in thier drill halls. Although there are sites with a written decsription, seeing it in action is much better. I will add the video as a reference.
What a clever idea that is. It doesn't look like it would take a lot of trouble to make a set of kit like that to adapt the rifle to .22RF - though the striker would need to be slightly different to hit the rim rather than the centre of the cartridge. Maybe a different off centre firing pin would be needed - still not a lot of work though. Just to say how excellent your MH videos are. REALLY clear explanation. Thanks for your efforts.

What an exellent video. Very informative. Would never have known if you didnt make this. Brief history lesson.👍
it would be cool to get a morris tube made in .22 hornet
Well, guess I have to make one now.

It is a durn shame they didn't make one in .30-30 or ,22 rim fire. Would it be sacrilege to rebore a Moriss tube to 30-30 or .38 Special?
cool id love to get my own made up one day
What bayonet goes on that please
what is it for
That's cool
