A lot of people are hating on this vid but personally i really like this edit! The editing is perfect for the song and I like the cinematic look of this video. What type of camera did you guys use to make this?
people say that it's only showing their views, but I honestly watch this every day before I go longboarding for inspiration and I've been doing that for almost a year now. This video is what inspires me to practice my slides until they are long and steezy. Golden work guys.
This video inspires me soo much. A year ago, I didn't know what longboarding was and when I saw this video, I wanted to try it really badly. Now, I'm here today thinking I can do most of those. Thank you BeanpoleProductions,
an inspirational must see/listen video & song every time i ride with my friends..greetings from Singapore & believe it, you guys are our idols!thank you.
So stoked, just went down as my all time favourite sliding video, some seriously steezy slides, and some rad editing. The Go Pro makes for the most incredibly good footage too. You boys do the Australian Longboarding scene proud, props.
Seriously, everything you touch is gold! This is ridiculous!! I want to come hang out with you guys for a day and just see how you work, this is better than anything on TV bar none! If only I had the money to get to ... Australia right?
My god. Every time I come back to watch this I'm hit by the biggest urge to go longboarding, which is hard to do at 11pm in midwinter in Canada :( I'm an aspiring special effects artist, and the scope of the sheer amount of work that was evidently put into this blows me away! Keep it up!
Seriously, everything you touch is gold! This is ridiculous!! I want to come hang out with you guys for a day and just see how you work, this is better than anything on TV bar none! If only I had the money to get to ... where u guys from?
@littlequackery Thanks mate. Loaded Dervish, Rayne Hellcat, Sector9 Sunset, Glyde DH, Never Summer Soldier. I would recommend any longboard with four wheels. As long as it rolls down hills you can't go too wrong.
wow is all i can say.. i started longboarding two months ago. I stumbled upon this beautiful video and i was struck with awe. You guys have some damn good talent. I really hope one day i can do the sliding that you guys were pulling off. And the way the video was edited. This is like the tenth time i watched this video. By far the best longboarding video and great job on the editing. you guys are a great inspiration!!
Sickest longboarding video I have yet to see :) all the other one were mostly riding but I really wanted to see some sliiiiiides!!! And you guys did just that. Thx so much and keep at it ;)
@tonister17 Longboard wheels are 99% of the time made of urathane. You want a hard wheel with a small contact patch (how much of the wheel touches the ground when you ride) to slide more easily. The hardness of a wheel is called the durometer and usually range from about 80a to 86a. A wheel with a durometer of 80a is softer and will grip the road more than one with a durometer of 86a. Just PM if you have more questions, hopefully I can answer them.
@NWaddo Thank you! There isn't a huge difference between those two wheels, they are both really good so just go with either one. The Dervish in this vid is a flex 1, the stiffer one. It handles speed a little better than the flex 2.
i surf and skimboard and skate a little but i wanna start longboarding but this vid looks so sick!!!!! the best longboarding vid ive seen !!!!!! awsum editing and riding.
@pyscobrand Haha no worries mate. Trucks will make a difference to how you slide, but really it all comes down to the skill of the rider. A good longboarder could slide any setup, no matter what the deck, wheels, or trucks are.
@BeanpoleProductions youtube mp3 converter isnt illegal its just taking the audio out of the video thus giving you the mp3 of the song :) i do it all the time
@BeanpoleProductions thats the only thing they're good for. i can't keep mine on the road when taking some hairpins or turning when going faster. thats the stimulus tho. idk which ones ur talkin bout. but im getting the purple 4prez with my killswitch this spring.
@mroa6 Not so much the glove itself, but the puck on the glove makes quite a bit of difference. You want a good quality puck that slides smoothly, not chopping board or something which just melts away and isn't very slippery. That being said you can learn to slide with any glove/puck, but once you want to take it to the next level it's pretty important to have a top quality puck.
I make videos and all I can say is HELLA PROPS to the editing team, that must have been an insane project to undertake. I love and appreciate all the fancy camera work. keep riding
I watch this Video every day. My dream is to become a professional editor, and I'm a huge longboarder. The sheer quality and effort that shines from this work is awe inspiring. I can imagine some of those nature shots must have been hard to get, so its even better since you went the extra mile to get them! Keep up the amazing work!
Any bearings will suffice. If you can open up the bearing to clean/lube, and you are using spacers and speed rings, they are fine. Biltin bearings come with the spacers built in so that is always handy.
@Arthropodical The helmet i belive is a icaro 4runner if not im sure its a icaro for sure, also theres the charly no limit full face to, icaro looks nicer thou.
@Rucasaur Are you smashing your knees up a bit? Or just joint pain without your knees hitting the ground? You know those warm ups they probably made you do in PE in school, where you rotate all your joints? Do that pre sliding and it may help, it releases some synovial fluid into the joint and basically makes it all lubed and stuff.
@dewolf4131 All wheels will slide but yes, some are better than others. Free-ride wheels are made for sliding. Trucks are usually pretty loose, it helps when going into a slide.
Awesome Vid. I have a 46 pinny with soft wheels and just started learning to slide this arvo. Not massive drifts or anything just a 180 to stop or slow down. I was told I wouldn't be able to do it with such a long board and soft wheels, but that back end just slid out easily! Do you have any tips? I'm in NSW and my street is a nice long gentle slope, nothing that will kill me but enough to get to a fun speed :)
@pyscobrand Yes a lemon zigzag will slide, any wheel is slidable. However you should get some orangatang stimulus - they should be about the same price as zigzags but will slide much smoother.
@RenoRayBarlow Going faster is always good, and remember to push out with your back foot a lot. It helps to hang your feet off the edge of the board a bit too.
@thexmarksmyheart Thank you :) I currently use the Loaded slide gloves, they are pretty good, but any slide glove that you can get your hands on (or in?) will do the trick.
@wazzywazzy2 There's no problem in grabbing rail when you slide, if it feels easier for you it's fine. Once you've got them sussed you can try without your hand. To get it back around instead of doing a 180, try using your front foot to push it back around, and also keep your head and shoulders facing forwards. Just keep practising!
beanpole productions FTW i dunno whats with all the hate. this is easily the best longboarding video i have ever seen. Oh and Oliver great job on the song it kicks ass. Oh one question how are you guys liking that glyde drop down.
6 years later, and this is still one of my favourite videos on youtube.

14 years later and still one of the best on RUclips !
A lot of people are hating on this vid but personally i really like this edit! The editing is perfect for the song and I like the cinematic look of this video. What type of camera did you guys use to make this?
Thanks, shot with a 7D
people say that it's only showing their views, but I honestly watch this every day before I go longboarding for inspiration and I've been doing that for almost a year now. This video is what inspires me to practice my slides until they are long and steezy. Golden work guys.

Thanks Jules
By far my favourite long boarding video this one I keep coming back to
This is one of the coolest vids on youtube. No bullshit narrative, no over-the-top music. Just slick camera work and fun rides.
This video inspires me soo much. A year ago, I didn't know what longboarding was and when I saw this video, I wanted to try it really badly. Now, I'm here today thinking I can do most of those. Thank you BeanpoleProductions,

That's some rad skating, especially for 2010. It's interesting to see how much longboarding has changed since then.
Thanks Zac :)

I'm an aspiring special effects artist, and the scope of the sheer amount of work that was evidently put into this blows me away!
Keep it up!
I watched this so much in highschool. 10 years goes by so fast

This video makes every other longboard video look like crap. I have been lied too watching all those other videos. Thank you for this amazing video.

I have watched this over and over, and its still just as memorizing as the first time - Absolutely brilliant! Anyone have any idea what the song is?
You guys are crazy! This video maybe the best filmed LB vid on youtube. Keep shredding!
@NWaddo Thank you! There isn't a huge difference between those two wheels, they are both really good so just go with either one. The Dervish in this vid is a flex 1, the stiffer one. It handles speed a little better than the flex 2.

@BeanpoleProductions no way! hahaha that just made your video even more badass! i love when people do all original stuff. props bro keep it up
I've always liked this video. I think now that since sliding has progressed they should make a Slide 2 with standies.
how does this not have a million views yet?
@mroa6 Not so much the glove itself, but the puck on the glove makes quite a bit of difference. @Arthropodical The helmet i belive is a icaro 4runner if not im sure its a icaro for sure, also theres the charly no limit full face to, icaro looks nicer thou.
Great vid man. I'm gettin a 9star by Sector nine. I live in AZ so there's like one paved hill where I live haha! Any tips to learn how to slide?
WAO que video tan bonito...luz, edición, música...todo...excelente!

i was choosing between a 7d mark ii or a canon xha1 and went with the xha1 since im much more video heavy but the quality of the 7d is remarkable
@pyscobrand Yes a lemon zigzag will slide, any wheel is slidable. However you should get some orangatang stimulus - they should be about the same price as zigzags but will slide much smoother.
