Very one sided. In no way defending the killing that was done. But there are Palestinians who have nothing with terrorism that are also being killed, including children. Both are guilty and both have innocents.

I wish my beloved Katie said something like this. Thanks I hope she reads these comments and is not offended. What Hamas did is horrendous. What Isreal wants to do is catastrophic.
Katie, I will continue to pray and light candles for the innocent victims on both sides of this conflict. Palestinians do not deserve to live in the conditions they’ve been forced into and I’m sure Hamas does not speak for all Palestinians. There have always been skirmishes between the two but the planning that went into this is way beyond the scope of what’s happened in the past. I really just hope for peace. I’m not sure how we get there but the victims have my support. Man, I’m tired of religious zealots dictating the lives of people who just want stability and security to raise their families. Bright blessings and I hope there is resolution sooner rather than later. My heart is broken. 💔
It's way beyond what's happened in the past because the entire middle east is sick of what Israel is doing to Palestine and decided to back Hamas and provide them weapons, just like the U.S. provides Israel with weapons to destroy Palestine and have been doing so since 1948. I'm done with being silent. I'm not Palestinian or even Arab, but I'm completely ashamed of the cowardice of the international community and the complicity of the U.S. in this final destruction of Palestine. I'll be leaving this country asap, because I don't even want to live in the U.S. anymore.
Not a word about the innocent Palestinians who are also suffering because of what the extremists brought upon them? Disappointed in you Katie for the first time!
Yeah..... same "for the first time" - me too. This is really unfortunate that of all the good the speak she is still willing to say this. I understand wanting to moarn the loss in Israel but there is so much pain on both sides.
Rep. Porter, please acknowledge the innocent Palestinian lives as well. Both Israeli and Palestinian lives were lost in this tragedy. May the dead rest in peace and all civilians today find safety and peace once again.
She won't because she doesn't. She supports Israel's genocide of Palestine. Take her at her word like anyone else saying genocide is the best way forward. She said it to your face, believe her, and recognize ALL politicians do this. She was very clever in who she called out but she's another fascist in our government, believe what she tells you.
Um,, did not a single Palestinian notice the buildup by Hamas? Did not a single Palestinian make the effort to contact authorities to warn of the attack?
@@mavigogun mav, what are you babbling about? If there were thousands of Americans sneaking into Canada and bombing Candaian kids - America would step up and stop that shit. So again, why do the palistines put up with Hamas?
Im a huge fan of yours from Canada ... but would have been nice to hear your compassion for the innocent Palestinian people at some point in this video... not just talk about Israel...but this is standard behavior from majority of politicians in USA . You have to wonder why so much $$ and support to 1 group from the USA governmen. Will your next video talk about the Palestinian people?
I don't see a single post supporting Israel. Katie you are out of touch with reality and hopefully you lose your seat to someone that doesn't support the occupation of Palestine!
Greetings from Denmark. ❤ I hear a disproportionate mourning and praise of Israel, but what about the Palestinians, they are the ones beeing threatent, illtreatet, shot at, oppresed and persecutet daylily. Let's recognise the appartheid going on in Israel. Take a stand and act!
There is no apartheid going on in Israel. And if one single Hamas or even Palestinian representative condemns the October 7 massacre or the way the released hostages were treated, perhaps the people mourning for the Israeli people would proportionately be given to the Palestinian people. However, the message is “we want to destroy Israel, why don’t you care about us”?
@@littlecatfeet9064 Godmorning to you. I used to live in Israel. I love the country and it's culture. I recognise Israels, fought for, right to exist. One state sulution. Yes, Palestinians ought to condem the horrible massacer and hostagetaking, that has taken place.
@@boherupnielsen6355 I can’t see any one state solution that wouldn’t mean the end of Israel and all who live there. Granted I’ve never lived there, but have met lots of Israelis and Palestinians over the years. Especially as an ex-leftie doing “solidarity work” with Palestine. Eventually they tell you what solution they really want and it’s not pretty. So I no longer side with them or their desire to undo history. Re the war, Gaza got a two-week warning it was going to happen and to go to South Gaza. Plus two ceasefires. At some point it is a war.
The killing and violence is horrific. It’s pretty appalling to see the Rep. who I otherwise find to be willing to challenge and hold others accountable fail to acknowledge just how much violence Israel perpetrates against Palestinians. Calling the attack unprovoked would be laughable if it weren’t bone-chilling instead. Gaza is literally, by Israel’s own analysis, an open air prison. The mistreatment of the Palestinian people is what gives Hamas its power. Fighting the apartheid state of Israel will remove the power Hamas has. The only reason Israel can continue indiscriminately killing and stealing from Palestinians is because of US support. America has the power to make this conflict unsustainable, but instead we actively fuel the engine of genocide. The blood of both Israel and Palestine is on American hands.
Thank you, Sean. I am so disappointed to hear her speak in such a one-sided way, with no nuance, not a flicker of recognition of all the terror and repression Israel has dealt to the Palestinians all these years, and continues today. Netanyahu is as bad for his people as Hamas is for theirs. Extremist leaders do not consider the best interests of citizens, if it gets in the way of their desires for power. Look at Putin.
@@brettricia1 Did I miss something? I haven't seen anyone defending Hamas. But the Palestinian people have been treated terribly for decades, and deserve consideration as well. It's time to find a plan for peace, not more excuses for war.
Too many Americans don't know the truth and history between these 2 groups thanks to our twisted news media. Wish Katie knew truth on both sides; Palestine and Israel, before she spoke
Why did Iraq get invaded for 911 while 15 of the 19 were from Saudi Arabia... Again follow the money. Democracy is dead since corporate lobbying has been allowed.
I mourn for the people of Israeli but to not even at least mention the human suffering on all civilians whether Palestine or Israel is disheartening. The people of America want to see real peace - which can only be achieve by acknowledging and holding to account the massive suffering inflicted on civilians and the power imbalance between the two factions.
I agree that all countries have the right to defend themselves. At the same time the vast majority of Palestinians are NOT Hamas. These people did not choose to be put in the cross hairs of Israel's retaliation. Yet they are the ones that are suffering the most. Powerful old men that hate each other, are ordering young men, and women, who don't hate each other, to kill each other. What Hamas did to innocent Israelis is horrific. THEY must pay for their actions, not innocent Palestinians. They have been suffering for decades, at the hands of the Israeli government. ❤️🌵☀️⛈️☮️🐎🐕
The attack by Hamas surely was an atrocity. But to call it "unprovoked" ignores the history of the situation in Gaza, including the very recent hardening of oppressive measures the hard right Israeli state has imposed on Palestinians. The attack by Hamas must be condemned, but when you oppress a people, and give them no legitimate political means to fight back, you inevitably get a violent backlash. To expect otherwise is foolish. So let's condemn the attack by Hamas, sure, but let's also condemn the actions of the hard right Israeli government in oppressing a people. When a government minister announces a "total blockade" on Gaza, including food, water, and electricity, because they are fighting "human animals", how is that not a war crime? Do we now approve of starving out a civilian population? When Russia attacks crucial civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, and targets civilian apartment buildings, that is rightly called a war crime. When Israel does the same, against a civilian population, somehow that gets ignored completely. Why the double standard?
Well said. People forget when the peace accords were signed, the ink wasn't even dry and Israel continued building settlements on land they had given to the Palestinians and have continued to do so. A LAW in the US was passed several years ago stating we would support Israel with whatever it took to ensure they were more militarily equipeded than any other nearby Country. I condemn what's happened but then again, Israel has continues to provoke the Palestinians over the years and a cornered dog is eft nothing but to defend itself. With massive deficits, we haven't been able to afford to be the world police force. We're going to have to make tough decisions in the next year or so like cut back on SS and other social programs to fund issues like this.
Let me be 100% clear, ignoring the reality of the People of Palestine is an abhorrent insult to their long standing suffering. Choosing to ignore the humanity of the Palestinian people is and will be a measure of the principles, values, and morals by which you hold power. To say this was “unprovoked” is a blatant lie! Do better, Congresswoman!
I'm looking for your video to the Palestinian people. I'm sure it's coming if you haven't already posted it. Also, could you denounce the IDF and tell them to stop bombing civilians in Gaza. That'd be great. Thanks Katie.
I generally agree with your point of view, but you need to remember the Palestinian people, who are NOT Hamas. Citizens on both sides are being killed indiscriminately.
We also have to remember Palestine doesn't have a way to protect themselves, they are not allowed to have weapons and now Israel has shut off their power, water and food supply. There is a serious power imbalance here.
What about the innocent Palestinians! Who is going to speak for them. Israel is carrying out its final solution on the Palestinian people! Where is your humanity..
i am shocked to learn her unparalleled support for Israel. It is during hard times we see who the "Moral" person is. Who is there to support you when times are tough. Unfortunately, she "FAILED" the test. She is so vocal about the corporate greed, guess what? the same corporations support Israel apartheid regime in the region. She accepted a visit to Israel (wether paid or not by Israeli government is not important) and has "fond" memories about it. She visited the border where the Hamas fighters brutally attacked innocent Israelis, but she turned blind eye to "Open Air Prison". BYPARTISAN support in congress is pledging millions to the regime who is accused of committing war crimes. She sees nothing wrong with it, not only that, she sounds like a GOP war monger when she calls for attacks and sanctions on Iran. I wonder how much money did she pocket from Israeli government that that she sold her morals for them.
Palestinians have been oppressed for decades. While this is tragic, it doesn't give Hamas the right to slaughter innocents for revenge. All my best from 🇨🇦
@@hipp0stratus no sweetie, that's a myth. Violence is an act of desperation when one party wants to control another. I have the utmost admiration and respect for Katie. However, the AJ+ channel has an excellent series by Dena Takruri documenting the history and the lives of Palestinians under Israeli occupation. Some education is in order.
I am shocked and dismayed by your response to this so-called war. After the horrific atrocities that Israel has committed against Palestine, your support of Israel is terrible. I have always thought of you as a committed and compassionate person for the underdog.

I was onboard with everything... until you said "unprovoked". While the acts were horrible in the extreme, they were most definitely provoked. From running an apartheid state to actively pursuing colonization for over 2 decades, there have been plenty of provocations. So, YES to condemning terrorism, but, NO- the Israeli-Palestinian dynamic is not what you claim.
so what if it was provoked in your opinion? Even if it was provoked it was a disgusting attack of warfare against civilians. There is no justifying it to an Israeli.
50 years of oppression, starvation and terror from Israel does not equate to unprovoked. I really want to like you Kati Porter, please don't cave into the Israeli propaganda. Kati Porter, please do your history on the apartheid and terror from Israel
These words from the American Friends Service Committee follow up this note. "For over 16 years, the people of Gaza have lived under a brutal military blockade imposed by Israel. Under Israeli occupation, Palestinians have faced killings, demolitions of their homes, restrictions on their movement, and a lack of access to basic services. But for decades, the U.S. has provided uncritical support-and an annual $3.8 billion in military aid-to Israel as it has systemically violated Palestinian rights. Security cannot be built on a foundation of oppression and inequality. For violence to end and to protect both Palestinians and Israelis, U.S. policy must change. Israel must be held accountable for its rights violations, and the system of apartheid that exists must be dismantled. Israelis and Palestinians should be incentivized for finding ways to build peace with justice, not further militarizing the conflict. Urge Congress to call for an immediate end to the violence. Elected officials must work for policies that promote freedom, justice, and equality for all people in Palestine and Israel."
Wow Katie, not one word out of your mouth about the Palestinians who have been terrorized & oppressed under Israel's apartheid system for 75 years, which is what lead to the horrible attack over the weekend. When people are oppressed & occupied, they have no choice but to fight back to try & achieve freedom. Innocent Jewish civilians were murdered by Hamas in the abhorrent terrorist attacks on Sat. But now, innocent Palestinians are being killed by the IDF as we speak. All water, food deliveries & electricity have been cut off to Gaza. The civilians there weren't responsible for the attacks on Sat. Yet you don't even mention the Palestinian lives that have be lost. And swear your fealty to the Israeli gov't that is carrying out real-time genocide against the Palestinians of Gaza before our very eyes. You should be ashamed of yourself.
I love Katie Porter but this is disheartening. Previous to this attack 600 Israeli people had been killed in the conflict and over 6,000 Palestinians. To call this attack unprovoked is an advocation of genocide. The attack WAS wrong. Death is wrong, war is wrong. But there is room and resources for all of these people to live together and all we do by picking sides is reinforce hatred and bigotry.
I feel sorry for the Israeli people who died, I also feel sorry for the thousands of Palestinians that have died. For you to say "unprovoked" is totally wrong. Every day there is reporting of men, women and children being gunned down by Israeli soldiers. Straw/camel.
Rep. Porter, I have supported you in the past, and I am Jewish. If you are serious in your opposition to those who support Hamas, then you have to apply that to the Israeli government as well. Netanyahu's government, and the Israeli right wing going back decades, have encouraged Hamas, have paved the way for them, out of the cynical desire to keep Palestinians divided, to *_prevent_* peace from ever happening. Netanyahu stated this as recently as 2019. You can't go on and on about Iran without saying the same about Israel itself. If you understand the facts of how Israel has created this situation, then you are being disingenuous about how to actually protect innocent Israeli lives. Even if you prioritize those over equally innocent Gazan lives, the way to peace for Israel is through an end to the occupation and the blockade, and respect for the human rights of Palestinians. Definitely not through war, and especially not a war like this that will turn into a genocide. Please support the Ceasefire Now resolution, and start fighting for a solution to this conflict. Current U.S. policy just makes it worse, for everybody in the region.
I am now terribly disappointed in someone who was my favorite politician, and my hope as our first woman President of the United States. I find it so difficult to believe that you could be so “one-sided” on this issue. Both sides are responsible, to some degree, for the present conditions.
I am dismayed by your lack of humanity towards children, women, and men that are not part of Hamas. UNPROVOKED! Your special relationship should be with justice. Stop the killing in Gaza.
No sympathy for Palestinians who've been harrassed in the West Bank by Israeli settlers. No mourning for their hardship. Republicans must have written her speech
Katie, I think you are a great representative and you really fight for everyday people in this country, but PLEASE acknowledge the oppression of the Palestinian people. While violence is condemned, that attack was not "unprovoked." Please mourn the loss of Palestinian people as well as isrealis. Please support a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the 75 year genocide. When I saw your stance on this, I was very disappointed. You have been a force for working class people and women. Please be a force against Isreali occupation and colonization in the middle east.
Katie your message is missing the other half about the oppression of Israel over the innocent people in Palestine. I do disagree with your message and I hope you fix it.
Wow, disappointingly one-sided. Even the best of US politicians seem to have a blind spot when it comes to Israeli apartheid and its oppression of Palestinians. What happened on Oct 7th was monstrous because over 75 years of oppression, Israel has created some desperate monsters within Palestinians. But the majority, the innocent Palestinians deserve just as much peace, security, prosperity, and self-determination as Israelis. Unfortunately, thanks to US congress people being either ignorant or in the pocket of Israeli lobies, they have shielded Israel from any accountability for decades and treated Palestinians as less than human. Never again should mean never again for anyone. Mrs Porter Please stop funding and supporting this ongoing apartheid and ethnic cleansing.
The Hamas attack was not unprovoked. Your characterization of this conflict as good vs. evil will likely encourage a continuation of the genocidal strategy of Israel to eliminate all gentiles from a region that should belong to Palestinians as well as Jews. I won't share my guesses as to your motivation for making this one-sided attack against a people who have been deprived of basic human and civil rights for most of a century, but I must conclude you are not an honorable person for doing so.
Your conclusion is very reasonable. Her embarrassing the GOP and dragging them in committees is all good and well, but as she's running for Senate in CA now, her repeated deflection of the horrors carried out against the Palestinians AND the meager criticism of Israel, I find totally disqualifying. She is, as we say, "Progressive until Palestine." In conjunction with praising Netanyahu, it's all quite despicable.
Im sorry Katie Porter for the first time i cant believe that i dont agree with you at all! What about all lives lost on the Palestinian? What about all the suffering they have endured by the israelis? To call this attack " unprovoked" is absolutely disgusting! The way the ppl of Gaza have been living is beyond horrid. However, i can see as a Native American why you would day these things. Look how you treat the indigenous people of this country! Its not as bad as in Gaza, but you wont even help find our missing yet you spent millions looking jn the ocesn for billionaires! Im sorry Ms. Porter i cant stand by you on this!
Cool. However Netanyahu is far from innocent here as he has had years to get rid of the apartheid state and has refused to do it. Lets not forget all the civilians that IDF has killed in the Gaza Strip over the years. Two wrongs dont make a right.
She knows that she just doesn't care. She feigns neutrality and weak sympathy for the Palestinians because she has to while running for office. Porter praised Netanyahu very recently. She is a Zionist. She's also very hawkish on Iran, deflecting to them instead of criticizing Israel. The writing is on the wall with her.
Well, I know who I'm going to vote for Senate, Rep. Barbara Lee. She is pushing for a cease fire, not for genocide. I don't support Hamas, but Israel has gone way too far.
"unprovoked"? Come on Katie, you're among the smartest woman in Congress; we really need you to think this through more thoughtfully. No one will defend actions by Hamas, though I can see their pain come from. I have no desire to defend the same violence and land-grabbing that Israel has, and is, doing to the Palestinian people right now and for several decades with US assistance. People in both countries are my friends. We are a heaving integrated nation now. Israel doesn't get a pass. I can hold love for Jewish people and be against Israeli state action. I haven't seen post from any of my Palestinian friends in days. How can you say these horrible things, while I watch my friends suffering in genocidal conditions? How am I to feel justified that the US or Israel is "doing the right thing" when they're treated like dangerous animals instead of human beings? None of these reactions are going to seal peace, non-violence, or healing upon the Israeli or Arab people as the whole region has a right to fear US/Israel attacks in the future should Israel decide they want their land too. We justify this in the name of our alliance - where & when did this manufactured alliance get citizen approval? And what is this alliance for? Mastering gun manufacturing, mercenary work around the globe and global arms sales? Oil production? What a load of BS coming from you. Totally disappointed...I wanted you for president but you're inflaming a problem that needs restraint, Israel stepping forth and acting as a mature, good faith, just actor that calls for a cease fire for all... a call for peace before this turns into a world war. Stop this madness.

@@ShaiFishman It is a tragedy, I am not denying that, but there is no PR campaign from the majority of Congress or the White House when Palestinian children are shot by Israeli forces. The narrative by American mainstream media is always the same: silence when Palestinians die everyday, silence when their homes are illegally taken and bulldozed, but once there is a violent response from Hamas, it’s full coverage of Israel and presented as an unprovoked attack. It is a false depiction of the reality of situation. It is a shame. It is a shame that innocent people have died. BOTH in Palestine and in Israel. However, Katie doesn’t recognize that. Nor does the president, nor the American press, only the deaths of Israelis are mourned by the United States.
@@ShaiFishman Secondly, I do not believe that Hamas is synonymous with Palestinians. Hamas is of course a faction. However, it is hard to not perceive the attack as a response to the Israeli government’s violence from Palestine.
@@clowninround8 REALLY? So if the "attack" is a "response to the Israeli Government" (which is bullshit as Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005 and has no power over Palestinians there) then you DO identify the Hamas as not only synonymous with Palestinians but you acknowledge it's role as the responder on their behalf. Maybe you forgot about the Palestinian authority... but never mind. OK, now that you've declared them authorized to respond on behalf of the Palestinians, then this is their party line, to kill civilians, babies, old people - at least we know what kind of army the Palestinians sends, and for what? no tactical purpose, no land objectives, nothing other than to kill civilians. And people call us apartheid and genocidal... while the representative army, authorized to respond on behalf of Palestinians - sends missiles from schools and hospitals, uses its people as shields and aims to kill civilians on the other side. It's mind-boggling that this is the side you're on.
Usually I applaud you as a breathe of fresh air in US politics but I can’t understand how Jewish people who suffered appalling genocide against their people, are willing to then inflict the same on another race of people - killing is killing no matter what side it’s on, and by solely supporting Israel you are supporting genocide of the Palestinian people. I'm disappointed at how tone deaf this is. I expected much more from Katie Porter. The Hamas attack and the very existences of Hamas is a result of 56 years of an illegal occupation. It's an opportunity to murder, displace and appropriate; which historically has been the game plan of Israel, since it's inception. The attack on civilians by Hamas is horrible, to ignore why it happened is disservice to all those innocent people that lost their lives.

A LAW in the US was passed several years ago stating we would support Israel with whatever it took to ensure they were more militarily equipeded than any other nearby Country. I condemn what's happened but then again, Israel has continues to provoke the Palestinians over the years and a cornered dog is eft nothing but to defend itself.

Tax dollars for humanity not the industrial military complex. ✌️❤️🗺️
P. S don't hate, educate.
All I can say is ... I'm glad the internet is here to allow me to see comments that have nuance in understanding this conflict better instead of the brainwashing by those in power.
Katie Porter is fully educated on the issue. She simply cannot be (more) blunt about which side she stands with because it's politically radioactive to do so, but it's apparent by what she says nonetheless.
Vote Barbara Lee.
Ah, but do you hear Palestinian stories?
Exactly!
I had high hopes for you. I was wrong
I wonder why she didn't post this on TIKTOK? because she knows it is cruel and she will face backlash thats why. she wants to deceive young people. Shame on you Katie
Religion is to blame for this nonsense, especially Abrahamic religions. That's the culprid, stop sugar coating it.
I LOVE Katie Porter. I would vote for her for President in a HEARTBEAT!!!!
Me too, but I take issue with describing this attack as "unprovoked". Horrific? yes. In violation of international law? yes. Unprovoked? Israel and Palestine have been at war for generations and Israel has certainly done it's part to inflame Palestinians.
This is a lose-lose situation.
@@brentlanyon4654 I agree with you wholeheartedly that the Palestine Israel conflict IS a lose-lose, and the people of Gaza certainly deserve better, but that DOES NOT excuse beheading babies, slaughtering families and festival goers. It's absolutely inhuman.
@brentlanyon4654, you are so on it. I just posted on her wall with disgust. 🙁
@@papa-ql3xb It's deplorable. Unforgivable acts have been committed on both sides not for years, but for generations. This makes it an extremely difficult knot to untie. What we need is for the unforgivable to be forgiven. Seems like the only option is grace, but that's easy to say and not so easy to do when you've watched your loved innocents be killed.
@@brentlanyon4654 Unfortunately, there is so much hatred between the two sides, that I'm afraid they will NEVER reach a compromising position. While we, as outsiders looking in, we can see the need for a compromise, the two sides, with their long history of strife, acrimony, and lack of sympathy for the opposing side, cannot see that. I am afraid that this incident will be the start of a world war, of which none of us can expect a good outcome.
Free Palestine 🇵🇸
Sorry, but you've lost my respect. How can we agree on anything if we can't even agree on what's wrong? Your disregard for the plight of the Palestinians, the fact that the Isr@eli government has murdered over 25,000 Palestinians including 11,000 children is shocking to say the least. I'm disappointed in you and you have lost my vote.
When you claim you have never taken money from special interests.
You are like every politician we have. A bold faced lier.
YESSSSS! Finally someone is seeing it.
Katie I can’t wait till the Day yo are President! I stand with Joe now but I see where your going!💕
Im not voting her anymore. What about all them innocent people in Gaza getting bomb 😢
Your speech - you lost my vote
.. just LOST. MY. VOTE. Rep. Porter .. utterly appalled (but not the least bit surprised) at the overwhelming ignorance, with regards to the plight of & plain gross de-humanization of the Palestinians, the absolute trampling of Palestinian human rights ..& the overwhelming support for the apartheid state of Israel ..not to mention, the plain sight genocide of Palestinians ..guess it only counts as apartheid, if your skin is black & you don't happen to be Arab or Muslim.. 🙏🏽 ❤
Yup, bullcrap here from her, sad day. War crimes daily, freedom stolen, education, yeah right, murdered for rocks, Sacred Temple razed and now too occupied, etc etc etc and more plus all you listed. It's horrible, peace is not meant just for Israeli's, Katie BAD DECISION this stance of yours!!!
The Palestinians do need support to counter wrong doing against them BUT this terrorist attack by Hamas is NOT how to lend support and it needs to be condemned in the strongest of words and actions .....Your ill timed and ineffective comment shows once again the pathetic effort of the far left ....I can assure you Katie Porter is a energetic supporter of human rights and to yank your vote from her shows how the left keeps failing .......
Rep Porter, I love you, and I appreciate your support of innocent Israelis who did nothing to instigate this, but you can't possibly be ignoring the atrocities that have also been happening to the Palestinian people and all the other innocent civilians caught in the crossfire?
Unprovoked?! Have you been paying attention?! Not justifying but apartheid, charges of crimes against humanity, open air prison, lack of clean water food, even movement is monitored and restricted. Last time isreali police attack a mosque and protestors brutally. There was a reaction ten as we'll.
Politicians like yourself have no sense of perspective or context. Or you purposely avoid and get in line
I think she's just taking the easy path to avoid getting caught in a shitstorm. I doubt she's unaware of the context, but her party is so deeply behind Israel and foreign policy isn't where she chooses to stand apart.
@happygilmore511 is probably true, but no consistency when she also supports Ukraine. A contradiction.
Yes, her true colors shine through on this one and I for one am not impressed. Pro one country but not another re same and worse kinda deal?@@stevenshumate3430
@@happygilmore511 Republicans are supporting Israel too. Don’t make this about parties, please.
@@virulenceabsolutely right, both parties are beholden to ungodly fascist apartheid zionist state of Isreal. Only the brave few would step out of line like Ms. Bush and Ms.Tlaib and pay the price for integrity and humanity.
Lost my vote.
We must figure out how to clone this lady!
Gross
I'm wondering if this is a clone or AI..
Doesn't sound like her and wheres the whiteboard? 😳🤔🧐
What about Palestinian innocents? You didn't mention them once. This is gross. You need to do a white board about what's actually going on.
Yes she does need to research, do a white board and retract most all of this staged political speech, to be replaced with the whole story! Poo.
I agree 👍
Very disappointed of Katie Porter.
Showing her colors, showing her colors. Fetterman alert.
this attack was abhorrent, but Israel isn't squeaky clean. You are right there are no easy answers to this. Religion and ideology is mostly to blame.
It's less about religion at this point than just the stubbornness of bigotry. We needlessly killed each other before religion told us to
UNGA resolution 37/43 removed any doubt or debate over the lawful entitlement of occupied people to resist occupying forces by any and all lawful means. The resolution reaffirmed “the legitimacy of the struggle of peoples for independence, territorial integrity, national unity and liberation from colonial and foreign domination and foreign occupation by all available means, including armed struggle”. 75 years of this.
Thank you for your tremendous support Katie. I wish you represented my state.
@sherri you can have her she was obviously bribed by being so one sided I don’t want someone like her in my state!
@hana-bn2he Me either. She is not to be trusted. As a Californian, Porter is an embarrassment. Her comments on Iran are practically right wing talking points. Barbara Lee for Senate - THE actual anti-war candidate.
Katie I just adore you, much luck in your campaign for the Senate. ❤😊❤
She lost my vote with this cruel nonsense.

What Hamas did was horrific. What Israel is doing in retaliation is horrific. Innocents killed on both sides. Over 4000 children dead in Gaza, per World Health Organization a child is being slaughtered every 10 minutes, and you don't mention them. International laws are being broken and war crimes committed yet you say nothing. Why is nothing being done??? You were my 1st pick for senator, but I will vote for a person who supports all human life, instead of the purse that is paying them. Barbara Lee will get my vote. You politicians are putting a huge target on the backs of Americans...so more innocents will be killed. What a huge disappointment it was to discover you are another okay with massacres just for a donation. Very sad and cruel time we live in, continuing wars for dollars.

I'm disappointed at how tone deaf this is. I expected much more from Katie Porter. The Hamas attack and the very existences of Hamas is a result of 56 years of an illegal occupation. The systemic racists policies within and outside of Israel, has created a toxic, extremist situation throughout the region. It's offensive to ignore the suffering and oppression of the Palestinian people, under the premise of Israels right to defense. Itamar Ben Gvir, the virulent extremist that as the the security minister has ramped up the antagonizing of the Palestinian people. Settlers destroy property; burn homes and autos with impunity, often with police standing by watching. Why does Hamas exist; it's a manifestation of the Israel's genocidal, colonizing ideologies. The "war" against Hamas; isn't a war at all, it's a collective punishment of all the innocent civilians in Gaza. It's an opportunity to murder, displace and appropriate; which historically has been the game plan of Israel, since it's inception. The attack on civilians by Hamas is horrible, to ignore why it happened is disservice to all those innocent people that lost their lives.
You are brainwashed by the Palestinian propaganda
Katie, you don't know how much your presents is needed during these times. My wife and I are so so gratefull that there are strong people still around fighting this evil onslaught from outside and inside our home. Your whiteboard is peace for our logical souls when you bring it out.
