  • Check out my instagram @flyinggrimaud for some awesome photos of the aircraft! As an Air ForceROTC Cadet, I got the chance to take a ride on a C-130J and even go to the cockpit to talk to the pilots! This was a fantastic learning experience that I will never forget. Thank you for watching the video, don't forget to like, subscribe and to follow me on Instagram.

I served in an Air Refueling Wing for the twenty five years I was in and we flew more times on C-130’s than our own KC-35’s, and although we referred to them as ‘four fan shit cans’, you always got from point A to point B safely. Longest flight on a C-30 (J) was 9.5 hours from Guantanamo Bay to Salt Lake City IAP. Good times.

Wow! My dad used to fly C-130's in Okinawa and he always said the flight from Japan to Bangladesh was brutal.

Cool to see the inside of one of those birds. I live close to Ramstein Air Base. On an almost daily base I see C-130 Hercules, C-17 Globemaster III and sometimes C-5 Galaxys flying over my head in approach to the air base.

I ended up going the corporate pilot route. Still a big supporter and fan of the air force though! A good chunk of my friends are commissioned or still in ROTC still.

Thanks to OSU AFROTC for this incredible flight! For those stumbling on the video, I am no longer with the Air Force but am now a seaplane pilot! Who knows maybe one day I’ll make a video doing that…
