Assume it's been sold already right? Your instatag doesn't seem to work anymore either? How much did you sell it for and how much GPH for that 185 at Sea Level :) ?
Congrats on the purchase! We just sold this one this week actually. We only kept the price secretive because we were getting a lot of bogus emails so the ideal was that anyone who is truly interested will email and ask. Congrats on the 400, you will love it.
So what taildragger did you get?? I had a Mooney 252 turbo (loved it!) for work but sold it when I eased out of consulting. Then bought a J3 Cub and have been loving it!
Nothing so far, he’s looking at a carbon cub, a kitfox, or just nothing and finding a local club/rental. I’m looking at instructing in the J3 on floats here in the next couple months.
@@FlyingGrimaud I’ve flown Maules quite a bit; they’re excellent!! A friend has a Husky and he loves it. Lots of great choices. I like the near-zero expense of the Cub. Simple, fun. I’ve landed it on a grass RC field.
Get yourself a Pacer or taildragger Colt. You can outrun a Cub all day for pennies, parts are dirt cheap, good useful load, and a showroom Colt costs 1/5 of a ragged out Super Cub.
@@coryfitzpatrick9885 Thank you but this plane is actually no longer for sale. It was recently sold to a gentlemen in California. Thanks for watching though!
@@williamisaacs6569 Email flyingreg@gmail.com and ask him. I am not sure if that was public information or not so I don't want to post it on here without his approval.
I am not sure who actually came up with the concept. Overkill? Absolutely. Fast and super fun, also yes. When the cruise speed is 185kts TAS in a single engine, non turbo aircraft and you experience that, it starts to make more sense.
This plane has sold! We had an awesome time flying it over the past decade and I highly recommend the Comanche 400 series.
Did he sell it?
Very nice Comanche!
It’s a monster, a good looking one, but still a monster. 😊
Absolutely. Plane was a beast to fly!
SHEEESH! That is a sick airplane! I can't believe you are selling it!

Yes, to all of that. Sold for $105k before the market went super crazy. GPH is around 19-22gph depending on throttle and mixture settings.
I just bought a comanche 400 today... i might have considered this one if the price was posted. I hate it when the details are secretive!

@@FlyingGrimaud understandable.... thanks for the explanation and congratulations to you for your sale!!!

I used to drive a plane (DH104) with 2x 720’s in it, the FF on takeoff was unknown as it pegged the gauges😂
Wow! I had never heard of that plane until now. Very cool. What a unique looking aircraft.

Wow, bet it's gone! How much did you get for it?
It sold for $98,000 but it also needed an annual which runs around 10k in this aircraft (some years).
The 400 is fun to fly, it’s a bitch to start when hot, and it drinks lots of gas but goes like hell
@@Pilotc180 absolutely right! Awesome plane
You need to get a Beech Staggerwing! Almost the same speed and fuel burn!
I had to look that up, never even heard of it before! Very cool looking airplane.
is it still for sale???
Yes it is; however, it might not be for too much longer. feel free to contact flyingreg@gmail.com for any questions.
hey is this plane still for sale ? Id like to buy it !!
The sale of the comanche ended up falling through, if you are still interested in the purchase, contact Greg Grimaud at flyingreg@gmail.com

@@FlyingGrimaud thanks, for whatever reason I think these are cool. Eight cylinder…. GAWD I must have one.
Get a C170B! A great flying taildragger
Are we allowed to know for how much this aircraft sell?
I'm not sure. Let me check with my dad and see if he is okay with saying or not. Not my decision to make
I checked with the boss and got the green light. It sold for $98,000 but it also needed an annual which runs around 10k in this aircraft (some years).
Dont overlook husky aircraft
My Pa had an a1-b and adored it
The interior just got put in 14 years ago...... hahahaha..... that’s some sales technic......
hahaha, absolutely!
What are you asking for the plane ?
This plane actually sold a few months ago! But thanks for reaching out!
@@FlyingGrimaud what did it sell for ?

Why have 400hp in a 4 seater? Ain't that a bit overkill?

More like "the way to live"
30 gal. an hr at full power EEK.
Definitely hurts to think about... I just try to justify it with 185 knots cruise speed... xD
How much are you asking for?
R Adams You can contact my dad at flyingreg@gmail.com for information on the aircraft.
still available for sale ?
No it is not, we sold it a few months back to a gentleman in California.
