Honestly i think thats advice for all grades (expecially if your doing online schooling) not just college im in highschool and i let my assignments pile up and i hecking regret it
Here's my personal advice: Don't ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER be afraid to drag the lecture to a screeching halt to ask a question about something you're confused about. Likewise, don't ever be afraid to look like the one person in the class who doesn't understand a dang thing about what the professor is talking about. 1. You're paying for college and the old proverb is: "College is the only thing people buy hoping to get less than what they paid for." It doesn't matter if the class and professor get annoyed. You are literally PAYING to be there. The professor's JOB is to educate you, and you have a right to demand they do so. 2. If you are confused about something in the lecture, there is a 99.9% chance that at least one other person in the class is also confused about it...they're just not saying anything because they want the lecture to be over so they can go do something else. Don't think that just because you're the only one asking the question that you don't need clarification and that you're not helping anyone else. I'm traditionally an excellent student (average 4.0 GPA), but you would never guess that by the amount of sheer confusion on my face in class and how many questions I ask. Other classmates have told me in private that I've had fellow classmates mock me behind my back because I always ask so many questions. Well guess which one of us was getting the A in the course and which ones were struggling? I've also had professors thank me for asking so many questions before because they learned not only did I always speak up when I was confused, but because I was a good student they realized if I wasn't "getting it", then NOBODY was "getting it" even if the class was sitting quietly and nodding calmly at everything. Bonus Tip: Always try to answer every question the professor asks in lecture. Even if you're mostly taking an educated guess. That helps the good professors out by giving them feedback about what's getting through to the students and it keeps your brain engaged to start assimilating and utilizing the new information.
@@c.c2373 Only one off the top of my head... If ever the professor assigns a group project and there's the possibility of doing it solo, do it solo. Group projects in college are a joke. Yes, it's important to be able to work in groups in real life, but educational environments (at least in the USA) are the worst possible places to learn how to collaborate. Even if the whole purpose of the class is to teach work collaboration. If the professor forces you into a group, be fully prepared to pick up the slack on any portion of it at any time.
@@johntumahab323 wow! Thanks a lot. I hate group work because I have experience from Highschool where most times I have to finish it myself cause the others weren’t pulling their weight. Hopefully it’s better in college

tip: buy a boosted board, save so much fkin time. I’m a freshman at U.C. Davis and it’s the second biggest campus out of all the U.C.s so having a boosted board and getting to class in less than 5min that’s like a mile away is so convenient. Although it’s pretty costly, it’s honestly the most worth it. I’ve been having mine for about two years and it does require some TLC. Also I can easily put it under my seat or tuck it somewhere safe. People here ride bikes and I think it’s a bit of a hassle for them bc they have to lock their bikes and sometimes there are no bike racks so they can’t park it anywhere which is easier for it to get stolen. Most bikes here get stolen whether it be one wheel that gets stolen or both wheels or simply a bike lock that’s been sawed off (literally seen a few).
