Scenic OTIS Traction Elevators @ Hyatt Regency - Embarcadero Center, San Francisco, CA

Topping off the Independence Day Week is the OTIS Elevators at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero Center. These are known to be the “Towering Inferno” elevators when it was in the movie in the 1970’s. There’s an identical version of those elevators in Atlanta which opened years before these. These may be famous but elevator #5 gets the best views of the Atrium.

The Hyatt Regency San Francisco Embarcadero Center opened in May 1973, so the elevators were installed in 1973 as well.
