I like the overall theme of flipping the Momotaro group (the dog, the monkey, the pheasant and Momo himself) into antagonists while Ogrepon is sorta the hero, since usually ogres/oni are the villains (just look at Shrekverse for example)
Well, momotaro is heavely linked with japanese military propaganda, depciting the japanese soldiers as momo slaying the enemies of the state, depicted as onis.
I never even noticed it could be the terastal eyes, but it's eyes from the cutscene fit WAAAAAAAY better than Terapagos
Cherishing every video BKT makes 😊
Aw ty ty
Idk if im reading too much into but there seems to be some DNA ties to the design. It changed how these pokemon look, their very DNA. And it has a helix-esque shape for the chain and dna is made of amino acids (another reason for its poison typing) beyond it being a toxic relationship. It also binds things and sits on the end of the chain, which made me think of telomeres on the end of dna strands.
I think that The Loyal Three can still be called that after the myth has been corrected. They're not loyal to Mossui, they're loyal to Dokutaro for granting their wishes and lending them it's power to make them more than what they were. That or they're loyal to it against their will. If you look carefully during the cutscene where they show the bottom half of Dokutaro, when it says the masks attracted more than just innocent curiosity, you'll notice that Dokutaro quickly appears first, apart from the other three. It probably heard stories about the infamous masks, then lent it's power to the loyal three, and tricked them into stealing the masks with the intentions of betraying them afterwards and leaving them for dead. Maybe the poison power tainted them and made them greedy, covetous, power-hungry (like Dokutaro) and easy to manipulate (like a puppet or a "zombie") and Dokutaro used them to do it's dirty work. Maybe the same will happen to Kieran.
I like the Theory!
What are your thoughts on Terapagos just replicating this Peach Pokémon’s ability to grant the Poison typing and power through the Toxic Chain upon others, but with a twist Terapagos turns that ability with it’s own 19th Tera Type, to allow it to grant any type to other Pokémon, albeit temporarily instead of permanently through Tera Jewels?
I think the powers of the two being able to alter types are for sure related
Isnt the Kitakami shop called Peachy's?
Something that the Indigo Disc could have that would be really cool is some reference to Kyurem and the Original Dragon.
Actually, there's an interesting connection, provided the theory that Terapagos is creating the Paradox Pokemon as opposed to pulling them out of time is true. The Original Dragon was broken up because of the twin heroes disagreeing on what they wanted to do with the Original Dragon. It's possible that Terapagos, with its wish-granting abilities, factors into this somehow.
I agree with everything you've said Toby! I think this "Peach" Pokemon will play a HUGE part in the Indigo Disk. Can't wait to find out!
I appreciate this video so much. Makes a lot more sense then these other daily videos / leaks / theories people are putting out right now. The links are incredibly tenuous, its honestly exhausting.
This is a quality video!
some kinda plot twist is coming! there has to be a villain after all, and it's certainly not any Pokémon we've officially seen yet
Briar is pretty suspect, Kieran seems to be hurtling towards corruption, either of them could end up in kahoots with this peach Pokémon only known in the code as "Dokutaro" (Momotaro, but with "doku", Japanese for "poison", instead of "momo" which is "peach")
I think there may be another hidden area in Area 0. The reason I believe this is because of the fact that the entrance station has 2 doors. To enter Area 0, you go though the door on the right. But there's also a door to the left that doesn't open up. At first, I thought that perhaps what door you go through is dependant on which version you have. After all, there are 4 key differences already. The 1st and most obvious difference is the Paradox Pokemon. The 2nd and 3rd are related. But the name/color of the school you go to (Naranja for Scarlet, and Uva for Violet), and what color the cloths that Director Clavell wears are different too (that's why I lumped 2 and 3 together). And finally, which Professor/AI you interact with is different depending on the version. (As a side note, there is a 5th difference, but I don't list it since it's not that big of a deal. But during the Paradise Proticol system, the color the room changes will be red in Scarlet and purple in Violet.)
I wonder if there's another legendary/mythical we haven't seen yet. If dokutaro represents Momotaro, all the major characters from that tale are represented in the form of legendary pokemon. In the tale of Urashima Taro, the turtle/otohime is clearly terapagos, and dokutaro could double as the protagonist taro, then we're still missing the ruler of the palace the story takes place in, the dragon emperor. Unless maybe Koraidon/Miraidon are meant to represent that role. Or maybe, since bb academy's in unova, it's the original dragon! That last part's a joke.
Could also be Lugia who has long been thought to be based on said dragon emperor.
This will sound crazy, but this is what I feel will happen. Dokutaro and Terapagos will fuse. Or, more specificaly, separate. The peach boy born from a peach. And then the picture that Heath drew in the book. A turte on top of an orb. As if it's coming out of it. I feel like this will be the twist. Terapagos IS INSIDE Dokutaro. It sounds insane, but, if you think about it, it kind of checkes out with everything else. But it probably won't be that at all.
One minor thing, the legend of Momotoro has 3 loyal animals, a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant. This lines up with Munkidori, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. In the legend he also fights a band of invading Oni (wich is usually localized as Ogres.) so that links to Ogerpon.
We all knew this before the DLC was out lol
This could be the gen 9 mythical since we’ve never had a mythical be a trio master.
The only asset we see for it is pretty nondescript, to the point where I'm not so sure it's an actual Pokemon. The toy in the shop could also just represent the end of the toxic chains from the Loyal Three. In other words, I'm a doubter. I'll be excited if it ends up being an actual Pokemon, though!
You’re always a doubter hahah
This Polyp, parasite, whatever its poison seems to have a effect similar to DCs Venom Augmenting one thing but weakening another but instead of roiding you out and making your brain into mush it augments you based on personal preference and makes you more volatile and aggressive much like Marvels venom. So maybe this Dokutaro buds a clone polip to bond and merge with a host and then comes back later for the syphoned nutrients
I've always felt like Glimmora has this ancient paradox feel to it. Not that it actually *is* one, just that it definitely has the vibe of a "living fossil," (distinct from "fossil pokemon") similar to something like Relicanth, only floral. It very much to me has this feeling like it's a being from a completely different time. Maybe Momotaro is the future equivalent. But... Then the question is how would they have gotten there?
Something I’ve just realised. If blueberry academy is like a terrarium off the coast of Unova then you’d think the Pokémon there would be ones you can’t find in Unova………and yet there’s Zebstrika.
I know that line wasn’t in Paldea but still given the location to Unova it just seems odd to me
Not just that, gen 5 in general has the most slots out of every generation in the leaked Blueberry dex (aside from gen 1, but that's not surprising).
I wonder how this Pokémon will be revealed. It could very well be part of the Indigo Disk, or it could be this generation's first proper Mythical. It might even appear in an upcoming game, similar to Enamorus in Legends: Arceus.
It’s funny how much fruit is in this game lol,Oranges and Grapes in the main game. Kitakami is kinda the apple country and there is a joke about a manzana academy during the elite 4 test. We are also getting a blueberry academy and now a peach Pokémon.
It looks like cosmog's evil cousin. My theory is it escaped the first ultra wormhole and caught a ride from Alola to Kitakami, maybe meeting up with the loyal trio along the way.
I've heard "born from a peach" 100 times in the last year and a half so I'm pretty sure I know where this one's going
Something to note: there are random ass peaches in one of the scarlet/violet book images.
I love this theory
Looks like Nebby
great vid hope there was more i like your content i will cherish the rest of the vids we have
I think it will be similar to terapagos where what we call babypagos is the base pokemon and the big terapagos with the types on its shell is a tera form kinda like mega evo and Gigantamax. The peach that we see is the basic pokemon and it will have a tera form.
The detail of the books being blue in Area 0 is fascinating. 😃
I think Kieran is being affected by this Peach Pokémon (HE'S LITERALLY GETTING DONBRO POISONED!!!) and that he might develop a poison chain of his own...
Mythical perhaps? 🤔
Definitely
Never thought about this pokemon being a paradox. WOuld be cool if they gave another paradox pokemon a part in the story
Great video 🔥🔥
In all likelihood its a parasitic pokemon like neheligo but instead of full mody bonding and more akin to parasitic enhancment
I think that this is a clue for Gen 10 and it has nothing to do with Kitakami, Ogerpon, or the masks. Maybe it's the Fire starter for the next gen.
You left out the fact that Glimmet's spoils are what you need to make the Tera Blast TM
Now this is intresting, we need more original pokémon
It certainly did seem odd to make a Momotaro story without a Momotaro stand-in.
Could it be an Evoled Gilmora ? Flowers do turn into fruit.
I wonder if there is a connection between the Peach and the King from the tale of the Treasures of Ruin. Was it in the end the greedy King of the story who was behind the three thieves...
If the little peach can grant wishes, is it possible it brought the imaginary paradox Pokémon to life using Heath’s thoughts?
yeah i seen people talking about this. I am not entirely convinced that this peach pokemon is real yet. But there is a possibility that it could be. I am sure when Indigo Disk comes out, we will know for certain if this peach pokemon exists.
I love how instead of momotaro it still has the taro part for the boy's name which taro is common for Japanese boys name but has doku which is poison. Dokutaro certainly has me intrigued! Could be the reason why Kieran was able to release the loyal 3 and maybe he'll have it on his team! Like Dipplin there's more to Dokutaro! I do believe it was hiding which due to some other clues makes me believe it's poison and ghost type!
Interesting video, the new peach Pokémon does look similar to Glimmora. Also, am I the only one who notices Okidogi looks similar to Zarude? Lastly, the evil three & Zarude may or may not be from the same unknown Pokémon region that hasn't been revealed yet.
My theory of the peach Pokémon might be this version of cosmog where it haves another form. I want to believe that the type of this Pokémon is gonna be poison and ghost.
What if they introduced bloodmoon ursaluna because they’re gonna announce that they’ve been able to recreate peat moss at blueberry academy
I think Kieran is going to try to fight Terapagos using the peachboy.
If it does grant wishes; maybe it's related to Jirachi?
Since it’s attracted to or made up of terra crystals
What if this peach Pokémon is the “cell” version of terrapagos, similar to zygarde cell/ core form
Unrelated. But do you think legends Johto if it happens will include pokemon that got cut when game freak were developing gold and silver back in gen 2
In Chinese mythology, peaches (from heaven) grant immortality.
What Pokémon do we think the loyal trio were before they were transformed
Does anyone think the traveller looks like AZ?
I don't think Dokutaro is legit granting wishes, not like Jirachi can. More like it doped up the Loyal three with physical traits they wished for, and in turn, bent them to its will, much like how it's doing to Kieran.
what if it's an elder glimmora and corrupts terapagos
The loyal three, momotaro, and Kubfu, all make me suspect there is a Chinese inspired region out there. My suspicion is we might see it in generation 10.
China being the based region for gen 10 and having Unova for the remakes‽ That's a very interesting combination...
I think it’s pronounced “naran-ha” with the j being an “h” sound like jalapeño
Please give New York updates!!
Doing so on insta ^_^
@@BirdKeeperToby who knows if I’ll randomly turn a corner and see you; would be a dream!!
I am going to say this and people will go whaaaaaat...
It's a ditto. The "peach pokemon" is a ditto. A paradox ditto possibly, but a ditto... but a different kind of ditto.
I think the peach pokemon could potentially be a mythical pokemon.
If so, and we consider the theory that the mythical predicts the next region's inspiration, then I believe the next region will be China since that is where the peach tree was first domesticated.
this makes sense considering the other Chinese references in the main game
Paradox Glimmora?
I thought it looked like an Apricorn. 😅
Didnt this man say he was burnt out playing pokemon im like so confused rn honestly Toby I have been watching you for years. 1 make yourself happy. 2 dont be afraid to take a break for whatever we will be here for you. 3. You are human bro please take care of yourself and stay strong healthy and happy but please dont neglect your health and happiness for a fan base as long as pokemon is and isn’t here you will always have a place making your theories because pokemon cant even figure out their own plot most times. Its fine to relax your imagination man I love your content but dont stress out over doing too much take care of yourself sorry for being silent and dont work yourself to the ground
Did you watch the video I did a month or so ago? I’m leaving RUclips st the end of the year but still a few videos I want to make. We’re into the last 15/20 videos
It doesn’t look like a peach I have ever seen
When everyone has the shape upside down 😬 yikes.
What makes you say that?
If it's not called Momodojo, imma be a bit disappointed
I thought it was a pig lol
Wait how do we know it’s really pink
Well we only have the model to go off that at Peaches stall
1:04 The plushie is the same mon.
Am I the only one that thinks Zarude is related to the loyal three?
0:39 thats (okidogi?) hand!!!
edit: ore his skarf (thing)
How do you know anything about it?
Watch the video :’) there is a lot about it in the game
@@BirdKeeperToby I did watch the video. I have played through the Teal Mask twice. A lot of your video is speculation and I understand that. I have always liked your speculation. But lately you seem to have taken rumors as fact, others have as well. Still wish you well in the future.
Did you move into a new house.
Toby I don't think Glimmora had connection with the peach pokemon. Peach pokemon must have been born from the jealousy, envy and anger from people cause they never got what they wanted or they jealous others and believe that they deserved to have high status and not them
Why do you say that?
@@BirdKeeperToby well they may have some connections in design but i think it's different in a way of form. You know the four treasures of paldea, they came to life from the negative emotions of the king of paldea. Just like i said before, i think the peach pokemon is the fruit that was created from the negative emotions of humans, jealousy, envy, anger etc. It gave to the trio pokemon (monkey, dog and bird) the form they desired from this emotions but with a price, to serve it
Probably fake but hey I'm an optimist and I'm kinda interested
What do you mean fake? It’s in the game haha
For the first time in my life, I'm first 🎉
Among us
You have reached a highlight of your life, and unfortunately, it's all downhill from here.... But congratulations
Honestly, gamefreak needs to stop it with these ugly designs. The loyal three and ogrepon are straight up hideous even tho that's intentional for ogrepon.
Jeez this is making me wanna go back and play some more😅 I might🫣😂
