I would like to express my gratitude once again to all participants of the titan project, and Arron and Sem in particular, it was an amazing experience, and I hope very much that in the future we will be waiting for something similar ! love you all guys
This project was a dream come true. Truly an incredible experience. Hopefully "DesertMageTower" area hasn't caused too much heartache in the cleanup process.
For me it was a great honour to have participated and to have learned from the best. It is a very nice challenge and I hope that something like this is organised again so that we can all enjoy it together.
I feel the best thing that i hope will come out of this, is now they can see, firsthand, areas where they can beef up training materials to get people educated on best/better practices.
@4:12 You mention that you guys plan on releasing the tool when it ships. Will you be releasing the environment as a sample as well? I remember joining the project in the beginning and loving the starting landscape you guys initially created.
I really wanted to participate in this.. sadly when I signed up about 2 weeks early, my account didn't get linked and I wasn't able to participate and there was no way for the people running the project to get the project link sent to me... hopefully they do something like this again
probably not for next few years as it would mean throwing away the results of Titan because it's hard to manage multiple projects of this scale (and there will be updates to Titan done by Epic in upcoming unreal versions) .... but even so, I still hope there will be "Titan 2.0".
If I have to guess, it's that guy who imported a dragon model downloaded from Sketchfab, made it really big and placed it under the volcano. Could be another case though.
Hey I love unreal engine and you guys at epic are doing an incredible job with unreal engine! I want to ask if you can give us A much more powerful water system like under water currents. Large realistic waves that push the swimmer realistically. Fast and slow currents in rivers. Beautiful caustics . Well thanks for reading
This would be the perfect game jam for bitmap. Bitmap Theory says Bitcoin blocks are the substrate dataset for a landscape. In the Bitmap standard, first to claim the land with a text inscription gets it. New land generated every block. This gives us a universal persistent dataset to build unified realms. Simply put, use Bitcoin block data as the seed (non-arbitrary) for procedural generation.
If you watched the video, you'd know that the video is more of a guide than a showcase of Project Titan, they showed a lot of optimization techniques they used for improving the project for public release... . Also don't come here storming the comment section after watching a video from a guy who doesn't know anything about the engine. . Most of the features are 100% stable, it's just that the games that are coming now were made in earlier versions of UE5, so those games have issues but the games that'll come out 2 years from now, which are using the current or newer version of the engine won't have any of those issues and the devs will also have more knowledge than they had in 2022 when UE5 was just released.
Optimize your damn engine. Many UE5 games are so bad in terms of performance and visuals. They don't even have impressive visuals to justify the low framerate.
@@MarcusBuer It looks like you have no idea about new Ue5 games. have you ever played wukong, silent hill 2, Hellblade 2, Remnant 2, Stalker, First Descended? and there is more
@@MarcusBuer yeah 800x600 resolution with 50% screen size on dlss ultra performance + frame generator on 1k ladnscape terrain with RVT on top without any foliage. Nanite always perform worse than standard LOD system atm for game design. You need like milions of triangles to get improve than standard mesh.
@@MarcusBuer yes, but you can check 8k landscape test i did and you have clear point that enabling nanite give loss in fps(auto/Unreal settings). Also changing precision to have better fps - with less triangles make terrain unstable character can walk through edges if it is detailed with alot of elevation. Can you explain why is that with VSM and Lumen SM6 and DX12?
JESUS loves you all ❤️, REPENT and follow JESUS because he is the truth, the way and the life ✨️ 🙏 🙌 ❤️. It was an awesome experience to participate, thank you Epic team and partners for this opportunity 🔥

Love the honest breakdown on how things went. Looking forward to the release of the project and related materials.
Nice presentation Sam, was a pleasure working alongside everyone, cant wait to see the final result!
Loved working on this project, it felt like a cosy collaborative community all helping each other out. Very wholesome and educational 💚

This project was announced when I started my channel, amazing work UE! I will be going over this once my 1509810956823095823095820 textures load! :D
I can't believe I missed the opportunity to be part of this project! I really hope you guys will make another in the future
Unreal Engine itself is very titanically good 👍
5 anim sequences ~1GB each, lol whoever did that is a nice troll
so when does it come out...? it's been almost 6 months since the project "wrapped"
Ohh my god... simply Unreal
Good to know I was one of the first 🎉
Can we get links to the guides and training content that were provided to contributors? Seems like it would be great reference
Where can we find the videos he is talking about that explain how to do things correctly?
Similar to how we built World of Warcraft, 20 years ago. Nice work!
where can u download the sample project?
@4:12 You mention that you guys plan on releasing the tool when it ships. Will you be releasing the environment as a sample as well? I remember joining the project in the beginning and loving the starting landscape you guys initially created.
4000+ people..can't believe they pulled it off

Yeah, I signed up as soon as the thing got announced and never got my link, very sad. Excited to explore and use the tech behind the project though!
Unreal Engine is perfect technology.
For sure! If we ignore the traversal stutter, shader compilation sutter, poor multi-threading...
I am still trying to learn unreal is the discord stiill somthing people can join and how do you get access to the training and such
This was 2 months ago. Do we have any info about the release date?
Anyone got chapter markers they can provide? I want to understand how they managed version control with that many people.
Weird question..
Can I optimize unreal engine based on my hardware? Everything still on default settings.
I'm new so I have no idea
awesome
I need to know context on why that 1 person got banned... That's crazy. 💀
If I have to guess, it's that guy who imported a dragon model downloaded from Sketchfab, made it really big and placed it under the volcano. Could be another case though.
We won't ever know, but I'm pretty sure a trench coat wasn't involved! 😏
Ready player One... we'll get there
How to get working landscape tools on 16k terrain - 5.5?
We include the tools we used with the project sample - basically, we're stitching together 64 1x1km landscape segments.
@@BonusKun77 Thank you! Trying to figure this out but i will end propably with mesh terrain.

Damn it Sam, why'd you have to call out my 4k poster texture 💀. I swear I made that a 1k before the great perforce crash of the last night.
So sad that I didn't see this during development. I would've done some great foliage for this.

mobile friendly haha
What about actually fixing fundamental issues with this engine, rather wasting your time doing this nonsense?

Zelda tears of the kingdom have a better graphics 😭😭😭
a AAA game has better graphics than a world built by 4000 amateur artists in a couple of weeks? amazing
