It's worth noting that when 'Meet my Family' was released, It wasn't possible to obtain multiples of Every Crystal Beast, so the skill was powercrept by cards being released.
What about Grandpa’s Exodia and BE skills? The Exodia one takes, like, 6 turns for the cards to only be in your deck (at the bottom of your deck, actually), and the BE one forces you to use a single Blue Eyes just so it can gain 500 atk
I would say, the worst parts of those skill is the extra deck restriction (except the latest grandpa muto skill, as that one AT LEAST lets you play the extra deck). ESPECIALLY because it doesn't even let you make a themathic deck for Grandpa. As it doesn't let you fully use sangan and witch of the black forest at full potential (by having them fuse to get 2 searches). as both have dialogue lines
Honorable Mention : Meet My Family was actually used in Crystal Beast Grass decks, when that was still allowed. It was probably the best way to play it at the time, as Jesse Anderson had just released.
Its probably not as bad as anything on this list, but when Blair first came out, I spent 2 hours trying to resolve her skill "Happily Ever After" because of the line "and wed the 2 monsters". I figured a special animation would play or a unique effect would happen. But no. It's just a joke skill.
I will say that Jesse Anderson's "Meet My Family!" did have some potential when the spell card "That Grass Looks Greener" was legal and at 3, and even when it was at 1 (Yeah, Konami never learned their lesson from the OCG when Grass did the exact same thing before). With that skill you can make the biggest deck available at a massive 38 cards, while I personally just used this to turbo out a Rainbow Dragon turn 1, I'm sure you could have gone wild with some Zombie Shenanigans. @@drakofox1362 Lazion? Not even it works very well. Going first it can’t attack so that doesn’t matter, going second the BLS player fights through it cos Legendary Swordsman stops the activation of anything during the battle phase, so not even that works 😭
14:20 easiest way to fix skill would be to let it be usable from the start. Great for OTK’s… For Either player, if your opponent manages to off it before the Dino tramples their LP.
13:54 Road to the Pro League isn't the only way to increase Duel Assessment score with a Skill - Mokuba has a Skill called KaibaCorp Bling that increases your score for using Glossy and Prismatic cards, which also happens to stack based on the number of Glossy/Prismatic cards used (and it also has a second effect to guarantee a Glossy or Prismatic card for your Draw Phase once per Duel after losing 2000 LP). So even if you wanted to farm score, KaibaCorp Bling is generally better for having better potential payoff and an easier condition.
@@rainbowdragon168 (Me who got Destroyed In Ranked Duels Yesterday, by a Krawler Deck of all things playing Needle Ceiling, and got demoted to Legend 4) You wouldn't believe it
Cyber Style almost deserves a mention. Currently, it allows you to summon up to 3 Proto-Cyber Dragon to your field from outside of your deck. The monsters cannot attack, can only be used as Fusion Material, and cannot change their battle positions. The reason this skill shouldn't be on the list is because, historically, it had enabled a number of strategies by using those Protos, such as as tribute fodder. Because the current effect is after multiple Erratas to bring it in line so it would not be abused outside of Cyber Dragon fusions. It took nerfing the skill to hell and a few other card hits to finally get it out of high tier ranked games.
Haven't played duel links in YEARS but was strangely thinking that how sartorius has a skill where he can make the coin flip land however he wants that I feel bandit Keith should have got something similar but with dice. Called something like "loaded roll" or "loaded dice". IDK
Kind of surprised the ParaDox Brother's Skill that starts you with Suijin, Sanga, and Kazejin on field and Gate Guardian in hand wasn't here. 3 monsters that can't attack, 1 card in hand, and no backup/protection is just asking for trouble.
Its a useful skill for farming. However, these bodies can be used for real plays. I encountered a few competitive players including orcust players using it and won.
Can you please make more Top 10 most important cards of many characters? I want to know the important cards of Yubel, Yusei, Aster, Yugo, Revolver, Chazz, Jaden, Jack, Crow, Akiza, Leo, Luna, Kalin, Yuma, Kite, Reginald, Quattro, Alexis and Playmaker.
Minimum 20, maximum 30 (not counting Skills that generate cards from thin air). Your Extra Deck limit is also currently a maximum of 8 (again, not counting Skills generating cards). It's important to note that your starting hand is 4 instead of 5 and you only have 3 Main Monster Zones and 3 Spell/Trap Zones.
3:55 I have an idea for a card that could not only boost Arcana Force cards, but also gamble cards in general: (Edit: made the first round of adjustments) _Arcana Force XV - The Archfiend_ (LIGHT) Level 7 Pendulum Scales: 7⬅️➡️7 _Once per turn, during either players turn, if a field spell that mentions “Arcana”, “Archfiend”, “Coin”, “Die” or “Dice” in it’s name or effects is face-up on the field, you can place this card into your pendulum zones (From your hand, GY, extra deck or monster zones). Each time a coin is tossed or a die is rolled: You can add 1 card that mentions “Coin”, “Die” or “Dice” in it’s name or effects to your hand (From your field, deck or GY). Once per turn, during either players turn, you can either toss 1 coin or roll 1 Six-Sided die: Apply 1 of the following effects based on the result, and if you do, you can special summon this card from your pendulum zone:_ Heads or 1-3: Add 1 card that mentions “Archfiend” in it’s name or effects to your hand (From your deck, GY or face-up from extra deck). Tails or 4-6: Add 1 card that mentions “Arcana” in it’s name or effects to your hand (From your deck, GY or face-up from extra deck). Fairy//Pendulum/Effect _(Quick Effect) Once per turn, You can discard this card: Add to your hand or activate (from your deck or GY) 1 field spell that mentions “Arcana”, ‘Archfiend”, “Coin”, “Die” or “Dice” in it’s name or effects. If a coin is tossed or a die is rolled: You can normal or special summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, during either players turn, you can either toss 1 coin or roll 1 Six-Sided die: Apply 1 of the following effects based on the result, and if you do, you can place this card you control into your pendulum zone:_ Heads or 1-3: For the rest of the turn, cards you control are unaffected by the effects of your opponents Traps and level 7 or lower monsters. Tails or 4-6: For the rest of the turn, cards you control are unaffected by the effects of your opponents spells and level 7 or higher monsters. ATK/2500 DEF/2500 Basically, I took the “Fiend” part of XV’s name and made it into “ARCHfiend” (So we have some cross archetype action going), I expanded it to become viable with Coins and Die/Dice at the same time (Because Archfiends had this die thing going on for a hot second), and I made it a pendulum with a lot of self-synergy…
@@Kurial94 But still a more fun card… Imagine a chaotic turn of just tossing a back accounts worth of Coins or a rolling Casino’s worth of Die for a back to back cascade of card effects?
The Smile bright skill can be used in Aromage decks since you can make your LP just slightly higher than your opponent a bit easier without using a card in your hand to start combo.
If u wanna make a "top 10 best duel links skill" I hope u are seperate the character exclusive skills from the generic ones bc its pretty much clear that 90% of that list would certainly have the exclusive ones
14:04 - Technically that can be quite powerful... as long you direct attack at 4000LP, or over load LP... if it is a tributed Dino then you can use that Monach Awakens trap to become immune to other card effects... Though the drawbacks to that just like Titan Showdown are interesting.... stranger still is Konami has never updated the skill to somehow work with Link, XYZ, monsters. Yet even more randomly anything Level 7 or higher that is a DINO even just for that turn only can be chosen... wonder if that'll ever get abused.
The worst skill I've tried was Mokuba's skill You're Powerless. It's supposed to protect your monster from being targeted by spell/trap cards. Which sounds good on paper, but what it actually does is negates a equip spell/trap to your monster and only during your Main Phase. So the only viable target for this skill is Fiendish Chain during your Main Phase after they negate your effect.🤬🤬🤬
I once dueled someone in duel links pvp where they used the paradox ability where they stared off with gat guardian on the field but they only had 500 life points. I just so happened to have gear golem the moving fortress in my opening hand & of course I FTK it with gear golem's effect.
Hey, im glad ur throat feels better. Love ur videos! I wish i could catch ur twitch streams more often, but in my timezone its just to early 😂 greetings from the other half of the world :D
I feel like Aoi has the worst skills in the game. You cannot use 1 of her Marincess skills because there arent enough water cyberse monsters in the game yet. Trickstar Trick gives your opponent a draw 3 and only at the end of their turn do they banish their entire hand. her Heart creation skill is also useless because you need to have coral anemone to even use it, and even then it cannot be used as material and only have 2 main deck marincess monsters
Another problem with that Espa Roba skill, it's better to leave the opponents cards there purely to kill their field. If they have a full back row they can't play anymore traps period, so even before accounting for Jinzo's stuff it's better to flood their field with dead cards over clearing the field if you've already locked it down. So even if Jinzo died they're stuck with w/e was already in their back row since there's no way to clear otherwise.
I wonder how Xyz summoning would interact with Hasselberrys skill, sure it defeats the purpose of the skill, but other cards with 'leave the field' don't trigger on Xyz summon 🤔
I was honestly yesterday just thinking that a list of worst skills in DL would be interesting. Couple of honorable mentions: My treasure, Blue Eyes White Dragon (Solomon Moto): Increasing the attack of Blue Eyes by 500 atk is such a minor boost and yet the restrictions to use this skill are ridiculous (you can only have 1 Blue Eyes White Dragon in your deck and no extra deck cards, thereby killing the entire reason for using Blue Eyes in the first place). Even without the restrictions there are so many better Blue Eyes skills for Kaiba that it wouldn't be worth using this one. The restrictions make this skill unusable (although I guess it makes sense within the lore that Kaibi who invents Duel Links would not want any person using Blue Eyes to have a good skill but himself). Elements Unite (Paradox Brothers): Prior to the introduction of XYZ and later on Link monsters this would easily be a top three worst skill. Not only do you lose your entire hand but you also start with a measly 500 LP. And all to set up the materials to summon Gate Guardian, a beatstick with no effects other that it's summoning conditions. And you thought the LP boost ones were bad. However, this skill is so old that there actually aren't any restrictions of use the materials for extra deck summons, just that they can't activate their effects or attack. Heck, if only the materials were 1 level higher, you could use them to summon Coach King Gianttrainer, which could replinish your hand. As it is though, the loss of your hand and most of your LP makes it not worth it.
3:38 also, duels can only go up to 55 turns, after that the duel ends in a draw. Reversal of fate could have been a good skill for the gx legacy duels, being able to use hanged man, but konami only allowed for right side up to be used, which made it not possible to make a deck with hanged man in it.
One with the Dinos would be fairly simple to fix... Just make the skill also give some protections to the Dinosaur monster, make it much harder or even impossible to destroy or banish by Card Effect.
kinda wish skills were added to normal yugioh as an extra deck card type, but with an activation cost and maybe a low limit to how many you can have in a deck(like just one or possibly up to three max) to make them not too insane
Actually, Road to the Pro League is not the only Assesment booster - there is KaibaCorp Bling, which increase the duel score for the Glossy cards you’ve played, on the exact same way that Pro League does. It is however SLIGHTLY more useful simply by letting it be a Draw Sense: Foil Rarity every 2000 LP you lose. Letting you guaranteed draw a Glossy/Prismatic/Legend Foil card during your draw phase.
LP Boost Alpha isn't bad, there is no negative to it but the 1k extra LP at best for just about every deck slightly protects against OTKs... Though it does have synergy with Aromages. Because they benefit from having more LP than your opponent, and starting with more definitely helps with that.
I'm surprised that Mokuba's Duel Masters "KaibaCorp Bling" skill didn't get honorable mention? (KaibaCorp Bling: Foil cards gets a x1.5 boost in Duel Assessment and when LP hits 2000, normal draw card can be replaced with a random foil upgraded card)
The latest ban list that's going to be put into effect soon will ensure people nobody ever plays Raging Pendulum anymore. They're putting Dragonpit Magician on Limited 3 and keeping Pendulum Call at Limited 3. There goes most of the consistency from the deck. They're also putting Shooting Riser Dragon at Limited 1 so you can't have both it and Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon. Soul of Light and Darkness decks can be brutal, but still not as bad at Tier 0 Dark Magician, which is what we're going to have again when the new list hits. You can at least deal with BLS Ritual monsters.
sartoruis right side up is better as almost all except one is good for this i used arcana force with a few additional spells that made it easier to summon fairy monsters. If you want to have the fails use reversal of fate trap
or if light barrier is active during your turn just use that it’s actually a pretty fun deck when you have that skill and field spell as you can manipulate fate in a sense lol 😂

Surprised "The Supreme King's Soldiers" isnt on here, sure its kinda a joke skill but it gives you 1 of 7 random monsters that do NOT work together, best case is using it in a Demise King of Armageddon Deck for a 2/7 chance of either getting Demise or Chaos Sorc
even with out the 50 turn draw limit. it would never get the opponent down to 1000 with out extending the game, the opponent would deck out before it happens even is the only thing that happend to the deck was the draw phase draw.

@@drakofox1362 Lazion? Not even it works very well. Going first it can’t attack so that doesn’t matter, going second the BLS player fights through it cos Legendary Swordsman stops the activation of anything during the battle phase, so not even that works 😭
I just redownloaded duel links, rad timing
Can we have a video about the best characters and skills? At least before Blue Angel stops being meta
My poor girl deserves love
Another worst skill in my opinion is Scapegoat which basically skips your whole turn to play 3 sheep tokens in defence mode and that’s it.
At least that one enables Needle Ceiling
@@ianr.navahuber2195 Yeah but who is going to play Needle Ceiling? Not many people are going to

Unless he's vastly improved that laughably bad AI from yesterday, it sounds like his throat is doing better
Here's an idea we'll I guess 2 but top ten worst/best monsters that can be placed in the spell/trap zone. (Pendulum excluded)
What about “Top 10 good cards/decks in OCG/TCG that are bad in Duel Links”

Haven't played duel links in YEARS but was strangely thinking that how sartorius has a skill where he can make the coin flip land however he wants that I feel bandit Keith should have got something similar but with dice. Called something like "loaded roll" or "loaded dice". IDK
Kind of surprised the ParaDox Brother's Skill that starts you with Suijin, Sanga, and Kazejin on field and Gate Guardian in hand wasn't here. 3 monsters that can't attack, 1 card in hand, and no backup/protection is just asking for trouble.
True, but those can at least be used for xyz plays. Getting an instant 3 level 7 monsters is pretty sweet, even if it has a huge cost.
Back when Mermaid was free, that was by far the worst skill you could have possibly faced. It used to give Orcust players a broken board
Its a useful skill for farming. However, these bodies can be used for real plays. I encountered a few competitive players including orcust players using it and won.
I haven't played duel links in years, but I remember using that skill to cheese some (event) duels
It used to be awful but with XYZ and Link Summoning now in the game it's become pretty strong, even leading to an FTK involving Knightmare Mermaid
People complaining about a better than most ai, when actual logs is out here saying "Vidgeo"
There’s like 200 skills and 7 of them are good 😂
damn, of all the cards that didn't need a nerf, Minor Goblin Official was pretty high on the list ^^
Can you please make more Top 10 most important cards of many characters? I want to know the important cards of Yubel, Yusei, Aster, Yugo, Revolver, Chazz, Jaden, Jack, Crow, Akiza, Leo, Luna, Kalin, Yuma, Kite, Reginald, Quattro, Alexis and Playmaker.
yeah we have jaden being worked on now
TIL the minimum deck size for Duel Links is 20, that sounds nuts.
@@BloodrealmXDarn, and here I felt like 15 cards for your Extra Deck was already too few...
Generating cards out of thin air sounds hilarious though.
3:55 I have an idea for a card that could not only boost Arcana Force cards, but also gamble cards in general:
(Edit: made the first round of adjustments)
_Arcana Force XV - The Archfiend_ (LIGHT)
Level 7
Pendulum Scales: 7⬅️➡️7
_Once per turn, during either players turn, if a field spell that mentions “Arcana”, “Archfiend”, “Coin”, “Die” or “Dice” in it’s name or effects is face-up on the field, you can place this card into your pendulum zones (From your hand, GY, extra deck or monster zones). Each time a coin is tossed or a die is rolled: You can add 1 card that mentions “Coin”, “Die” or “Dice” in it’s name or effects to your hand (From your field, deck or GY). Once per turn, during either players turn, you can either toss 1 coin or roll 1 Six-Sided die: Apply 1 of the following effects based on the result, and if you do, you can special summon this card from your pendulum zone:_
Heads or 1-3: Add 1 card that mentions “Archfiend” in it’s name or effects to your hand (From your deck, GY or face-up from extra deck).
Tails or 4-6: Add 1 card that mentions “Arcana” in it’s name or effects to your hand (From your deck, GY or face-up from extra deck).
Fairy//Pendulum/Effect
_(Quick Effect) Once per turn, You can discard this card: Add to your hand or activate (from your deck or GY) 1 field spell that mentions “Arcana”, ‘Archfiend”, “Coin”, “Die” or “Dice” in it’s name or effects. If a coin is tossed or a die is rolled: You can normal or special summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, during either players turn, you can either toss 1 coin or roll 1 Six-Sided die: Apply 1 of the following effects based on the result, and if you do, you can place this card you control into your pendulum zone:_
Heads or 1-3: For the rest of the turn, cards you control are unaffected by the effects of your opponents Traps and level 7 or lower monsters.
Tails or 4-6: For the rest of the turn, cards you control are unaffected by the effects of your opponents spells and level 7 or higher monsters.
ATK/2500 DEF/2500
Basically, I took the “Fiend” part of XV’s name and made it into “ARCHfiend” (So we have some cross archetype action going), I expanded it to become viable with Coins and Die/Dice at the same time (Because Archfiends had this die thing going on for a hot second), and I made it a pendulum with a lot of self-synergy…
More text than Endymion

But still a more fun card… Imagine a chaotic turn of just tossing a back accounts worth of Coins or a rolling Casino’s worth of Die for a back to back cascade of card effects?

Besides, I’m sure I could condense some stuff together in a few minutes. This being a first draft and all.
The Smile bright skill can be used in Aromage decks since you can make your LP just slightly higher than your opponent a bit easier without using a card in your hand to start combo.
Meet my family was actually fun to use when they first did 1 card/ highlander format. A you suddenly and legally had 2 copies of some cards.

And then there are A bond illuminates the future and Destiny effect
First now i kinda realize GX had an lovecraftian elder god as a Villian.
And Jaden went "Radical" fighting a cosmic horror entity
Bro has hello fresh sponsor but we all know on stream you order take out 👀
If i was them i would undo all nerfs on skills and allow duel links to be different and better then master duel
Have you done a best duel links skills list?
I wonder how Xyz summoning would interact with Hasselberrys skill, sure it defeats the purpose of the skill, but other cards with 'leave the field' don't trigger on Xyz summon 🤔
My guess it'll have the same rulings as Relay Soul.
i feel like trap search was printed into speed duel in the recent box set but it might have been under a different name. idk why they did that
Amazing that most of these skills have negative effects as if they would be game breaking without them
11:38 This skill doesn’t deserve a spot in my deck. But it might make a good coaster for my drink!
I was honestly yesterday just thinking that a list of worst skills in DL would be interesting.
Couple of honorable mentions:
My treasure, Blue Eyes White Dragon (Solomon Moto): Increasing the attack of Blue Eyes by 500 atk is such a minor boost and yet the restrictions to use this skill are ridiculous (you can only have 1 Blue Eyes White Dragon in your deck and no extra deck cards, thereby killing the entire reason for using Blue Eyes in the first place).
Finally a duel links top 10!

@@fortypercent3870 I feel that one would be in the top 3.

Also, it is exclusive to DM Mokuba
yayyy duel links content

Well
Characters from yugioh gx really didn’t step up to the plate…..
Ask some players, they'll say the worst ones are Raging Pendulum and Soul of Light and Darkness. :P
