Why go to school when you can learn from the comfort of your home on the internet? Oh, yeah. Because they impose arbitrary rules such as having to have a paper saying you can do something, when all you really need, is to be able to do it which they cannot monopolize in many a case.

The steam-engine converted heat by burning fuel into mechanical work, one conducive to the system of cylinders in motion, working as an energy conversion device, releasing heat and extracting work through the combustion of fuel. Engineers of the time were confounded by the rather low efficiency of the steam-engines, because most of the heat dissipated uselessly into the environment. The second law of thermodynamics helped engineers understand the underlying principle that deals with the constraints upon the direction of heat transfer.

A lot of kids in their teens work in the States and Canada often to save money for themselves, often to help with paying for university, college or simply personal gain and not as often out of necessity (like those in the times of the Industrial Revolution).

The exchange rate in 1830 was about 10 $s to the £, so £20 would be about $200, considerably more than $80. By the time of the end of the AWI the UK was booming and the nascent US in poverty. In 1790 the known reserves and area under cultivation in the US was much smaller than in Britain and industrialisation a fraction of that in the UK, banking, trade and tonnage fractional too and the UK had an empire. The gap increased up to 1865 then narrowed until the US overtook the UK in the 20's.

The UK invented the Jet engine, Electric motor ,Internal combustion engine ,carbon fibre , propeller , the US leagal system, the US navy, disk brakes , Maglev, The electric light bulb, Radar, Sonar. first steal ship, railways, first underground railway, suspension bridge, first iron bridge. I could go on. We live by Chester and the roman sewage system is still in use but the UK treated the sewage. The USA has two houses based on the UK system which has been in existence for over 400 years.

Also because I saw the argument of the us invented the Internet against Britain, yes the us military invented the Internet for security but it was a British man who invented the world wide web. The us government never had any intentions for the Internet to go public, but the British man did! So even though the US made the Inte

It's amazing to think this modern civilization which emerged in the 18th century is only 300 years old! and its changing faster and faster, try imagine 100 years into the future, 200, 500, 1000!, 10,000! 1 MILLION! it's just unbelievable what might be possible in the future, it is truly beyond imagination. It's like trying to conceive a higher dimension, beyond our imagination.

In the 18th century we ruled a quarter of the world population. Our Empire was the largest in History.I do however think although it had good things going for it,I think the people should decide who is the ruler.
