- I was so lucky to be able to attend Angelina Jordan's first ever public concert in the US, on Sept. 22, 2023 in Portsmouth New Hampshire. Before the concert, her mom Sara - who along with Angelina, 2 of the sweetest people on the planet - was out mingling with the crowd, having heart-to-heart conversations, and interviewing US. And here she is interviewing me. I still can't believe it. I talked to her about a couple of projects that Angelina inspired me - and each project included a small team of amazing fellow angels - to initiate. I also mentioned how historic this concert is! Then we see Sara pan over and talk to fellow Daisy Project team members Patricia Ferrari and Beryl Angulus! So proud of you guys!! Bill Angelus ended up leading this effort with Beryl. AND he was able to get quite a number of volunteers to help on concert day with processing and handing out the daisies. UNFORGETTABLE. This interview ended up on Grandma Mery's (Angelina's mentor / inspiration / herself an amazing artist) Tiktok channel on 9-29-23.
Great job Steve!
❤❤❤
You know Sara is beaming with pride of 24/7 365 days a year...Imagine having a daughter, who is a part of you, who is a beautiful human being and beloved by all due to your sacrifice and a wonderful upbringing of her...The world is forever grateful to you, Ms Sara..
Well said! Sarah is truly a very *beautiful* person *both inside and out.* She inherited that from her Mom Mery, and has passed it down to her daughters Angelina and Juliette. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
🌼🥰💛👣
We know why Angelina has so much class, and Sara proves it once again.
fabulous
Congratulations Steve! You are a very lucky man
Agree!
My luck continued as you may know if you are on the Facebook fan groups? I along with 5 or 6 others met and got to talk briefly to both Sara and Angelina, after the concert. I'm still feeling the afterglow.
Wonderful moment for you
🤎👣
Wow❤!
That was neat, God Bless!
The more i think about it , the more impressive it is for a relatively unknown 17 year old to perform her own headline concert in America , congratulations Angelina ❤
Not to mention, SELLING OUT her first US headline concert. Some locals apparently were stunned that an "unknown artist" had sold out the Music Hall
@@SteveAckerman-ly3qgIndeed, the next day, I was sitting at the bar at a local restaurant, wearing my Angelina button, and the couple next to me noticed it. They said, “Angelina Jordan? That’s the name we saw on the markee at the Music Hall. Who is that? Who is she that could sell out the Music Hall?” And, I proceeded to show them a couple videos on my IPhone. We exchanged emails…. When I got home, they sent me a nice email saying that they had been binging on Angelina videos!”
Steve, you have a great interview personality. Admire your style and honesty.
Well thank you! I'm just grateful that I found Angelina, and as I think I said or implied here, she has been an inspiration to me and led me to go way outside previous boundaries I had drawn for myself. In the last few months, I've sung in public for the first time, done a little songwriting (well, modifying existing lyrics, for 'Old Enough at Last'), helped put together a music video (same project), and helped pull off a live event (Dancing Angels). None of which I had ever done before. And of course all were team efforts, it wasn't just me. It's been SO much fun, and so gratifying. And it's all because of Angelina. She's the best.
I don't usually get jealous of people; but I am SOOOOOO jealous I couldn't attend this show😢
You can hear where Angelina gets her "Thank you so so much" expression. She sounds much like Mama Sarah ❤❤
These people are so, SO fortunate🎶
I've been following her for about 6 years now, and I just can't believe my ears every time she sings anything!!!
It's only been 7 months for me, but yeah, agree! Angelina is a gift.
I wish we would have caught at least a glimpse of Sara, for she is a stunning looking
woman who looks more like Angelina's sister than her mother. Seeing current photos
of her and comparing them to the first time I saw her when Angelina was 7, backstage
at Norway's Got Talent, she hasn't aged a bit.
I was fortunate (and a bit starstruck) to be looking at Sara during this. Beside her physical beauty, like Angelina what is more impressive is her sweetness and humility. I was watching her talk to other people. A few times they would ask for a photo with her, and she would start to demur, like you want a photo with me? I'm not the artist. They are such wonderful, caring, humble people.
I've had a 'crush' on Sara from 'Day 1' after first seeing her. LOL.
Yeah it was great to hear Sarah!
At the end of this video you can see a glimpse of James Thiel from Florida, the organizer of the tribute to Angelina with 500 roses, James also had the chance to speak to Angelina's mother Sara , she was surprised and very grateful!
AWESOME!
Steve - this is SO great ! You are a natural interviewee.... impressed you stayed so calm and articulate, and had a wonderful exchange...
Thank you ... credit to the interviewER too. She is such a sweetheart, calm, friendly, humble - and as such I think she puts others at ease as well.
@@SteveAckerman-ly3qg Angelina's rock... I have always thought Sara very important in the Astar clan ! :) If you read Angelina's book you feel the presence of Sara strongly I think
It's been said b4 that ANGELINA has older fans( I'm one too) that's because we know talent & good vocals vs the younger crowd of today, it's not their fault because they have little talent to choose from. Most music today is processed, not real. Most of what u hear on the radio can't be produced live by the artist, like we older folks are use to from the 40's 50's 60's 70's 80's up to middle 90's. Music taste has to change for ANGELINA to flourish greater, hopefully the younger crowd will hear the talent and change their mind set? Time will tell.
That's my hope and belief - that the beauty, depth and timelessness of her music will break through - those mainly younger folks - who just aren't often exposed to great, great musicianship.
It's too complex for young people they just want a
easy tune to many complexity's in AJ voice you have to concentrate to get all the nuance s of her voice
Precisely right.
It's older men that seem to be her fans and I've noticed that most have removed their photo from their thumbnail. I'm not saying Angelina isn't talented because she is.
Wonderful initiative Steve! I loved it and I was very happy to wear one and so were my wife, my son and his wife. I got to talk to Sara too, just like I did in Norway last year. She’s really lovely and very accessible. And yes, Angelina is so inspiring!
Thank you Adriaan! I've felt drawn to these projects that involve other angels, both via the small teams that have come together to make them happen, and the larger groups that participate - here, by wearing or taking a daisy. And then to top it off ... the first thing Angelina says after her awesome kickoff song Diamond during the concert - was "Hello everyone, how are you doing? I ... oh my god wait, you guys are wearing daisies??" 🙂
@@SteveAckerman-ly3qg Yes that was great! 😊
Funny, you can here Steve Callaway near the end while he was doing his own live! So neat that you got to talk with Sara. Such and kind woman! You weren't nervous like Chris Walker when he ran in to the family at the airport. I first saw this video on Mery's Tik Tok page and now you have it here! Like you said, you were part of history, it being her first U.S. concert...sold out! Awesome!
And you always realize more in hindsight. I noticed that others that were interviewed around the same time (several were put together in an Angelina instagram post) understood that Sara was asking them to speak to Angelina through the phone camera. Man wish I had caught that! Perhaps Sara said that to me and I was too dumbstruck to hear it. So I talked about "your daughter". Anyway, an unforgettable moment.
@@SteveAckerman-ly3qg I would have been dumbstruck too! Actually, now that I think about it, didn't you meet Angelina and her mom after the concert? I remember seeing some photos from one of the Facebook Fan Pages that had you and a few other people. So lucky!
@@rw716 I did. It was a magical day. I also initiated what ended up becoming 'Dancing Angels in the Park', and we're actively working on putting together a video of angels dancing to Diamond. Mainly in answer to Angelina's expressed desire during her Aug 2 'listening party' that she wanted to put together a video of her fans dancing to her music. Pinching myself about all this, and to mix metaphors, still on cloud 9 🙂.

Great video Steve Ackermann 👍👌!! It was great to talk to Sara!! Sara is a wonderful, lovely person and a good interview partner!! Steve Callaway is my best friend and brother in the USA 🇺🇸! Through Angelina we have grown together in our souls ✨️✨️!!! You two did a great job dancing in the park before the concert! Steve did a lot of interviews with all the Angels 😇 Great idea with the white roses for Angelina I also gave her one as a gift from Steve 🌹👍As I heard the concert was fantastic 😀 except for the band, which from what I heard, something Some of Angelina's songs were too loud! so that you couldn't hear Angelina's melismas and her runs so well anymore!!! except for your phenomenal song by Elvis "Unchained Melody" that Chris Walker's wife recorded, and I streamed it live by "Shakes P." I heard the entire song!! Awesome best version of Angelina!!! best version ever!!! as a professional I have ever heard world class!!! Okay Bye Steve Ackermann have a great week and work and music time 👌♥️✌️☮️ from Switzerland 🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭😇👣👰👸🎙🎺🎷🎸🎼❤️🔥🔥 💥💎👋💁♂️
Wow, Sara and Angelina both sound so much alike in their mannerisms as they talk… I’m almost thinking that maybe Sara might be hiding her own singing talents …. might be fun to hear them both singing together on a fun song…. Of course, let’s not forget Mery Juliet and Michael joining in with that be fun for us…❤
There have been a couple of times when Sara has joined Angelina singing - one of my favorites is a recent, way-too-short black and white video of them singing You Say. So heartwarming. Hopefully this link will work: www.tiktok.com/@yasslayqueenslayforever/video/7268773645533744430
You can hear Sara singing quietly to Angelina when she was eighteen months old singingI will always love you when Angelina is listening to the music .Sara sang very pretty in a breathy way and right ontime and in key so she was a good vocal coach for Angelina just to learn the words and tempo i don5 think Angelina needed a voice coach but she recieved a beautiful one She is spectacular in that video the longer oneThere are two versions out there.I love your ideas ,Keep up the good work
