- Kansas Airstrip Attack By ShiftSector is an awesome event held by the local Airstrip in Independence Kansas. This is one of very few half mile events in the midwest and it attracts a wide range of performance cars and characters! Kyle, Matt, and a few other Omaha locals headed down to see what they could run.

The best part of 1320 is watching Kyle evolve from a super fan boy to being able to actually own and possess the same cars he used to dream about and the actual joy you get to see him feel when he gets to participate at this level now.

A lowered tailgate actually creates more resistance as the fast moving air moves directly over the bed surface, as opposed to the tailgate up, which creates a cushion of air that that the faster moving air slips over top.
Exactly the tailgate down works like a tornado 🌪 in the bed instead of a smooth flow
Yeah, but it keeps cops from running your plate.

Mine had been balanced and bluprinted by D&J automotive in Cincinnati Ohio back in 1968.
1/4 mile times were in the low 12s which was pretty good back then..

@@jifriedman awesome thanks man I would love to try half mile some day I have a 95z28 fat-body with non ls small block 350 Chevy punched to a 374 13:1 and a baby 350 shot and a basic 2-step connected to a used semi built turbo 4 and a for 9.5in out back but I got zoomies so at least it sounds cool if anything 🤣 it's basic white girl set up but she does ok on the street and front half no prep
@@jifriedman are you the guy with the Lambo and lotus? If so that lotus is cool AF are those pretty pricey to build just curious and sorry about both but better to go out in flames then quiet and alone lol but hope you get them up and running soon
@@teggy1289 Yep, the Lotus was pretty minor. Someone sold me a bad batch of gas and I need to swap the sleeves. Sucks, but repairing a Lotus is like changing the tires on a Lambo. Life works out. Because both of my cars were down, I actually had an opportunity to buy ANOTHER Sheepey TT Performante (this one is a Spyder) from someone who had to sell it and I think I got a good deal. That's what I've been wanting since the very beginning - just couldn't find one and a Coupe was available locally. My garage is literally a dream come true. I probably would have passed on it if both my cars were pristine. I'll find a way to make it work or I'll flip one when the market settles out (hopefully).
@@jifriedman lol I don't know what it's like to change tires on a Lambo not quite at the level of your money issues lmao hopefully one day I will be able to know just not yet lol and I'm a Midwest guy myself born and raised in Indiana and it's awesome to see a normal guy like you racing and building these types of cars and then have the attitude of guy who doesn't care what you drive or where your from your just happy to race and be apart of the that world it's super refreshing to see and in my opinion super motivating.
