I think we also have to take into account that an 18 pack box of Classic Wax is $87 while a 36 pack box of Repacked Wax is $95 so you get many more cards in Repacked Wax for the same price
Cool showdown. I had Classic Wax winning easy even before the Boggs rookie. Best pull so far along with the 59 Musial, and hot August garbage from Golden Lion except for the Willie Stargell. Round 2 let’s go!
Enjoy breaking the repacked wax packs b/c I like a variety of cards and occasionally I get a pretty decent hit, like a 58 all-star Willie Mays and a 65 Brooks Robinson. Classic Wax looks pretty decent as well. Looking forward to the next two rounds.
great video, absolutely loved it...the 1992 Shawn Green rookie was a gold card, about 10 dollars in value...also Rafael Palmiero has a 1987 Topps rookie...looking forward to the next round
Initial thoughts...I'd take the 59 Musial over anything else for sure. IMO, 65 Kaat is a major hit before 85 Gooden RC. Initially, I didn't like the breakdown in classic wax...I don't like that a lot of the cards are ultra modern, and they seemed to be adding in a bunch of oddball cards to get big names in for cheap. BUT, the true vintage stuff that came out of there was generally older, and the Boggs RC made it comparable to repacked wax. Golden Lion has fallen behind. I think it's very much worth noting that not all 'major hits' are equal. Counting the vintage Musial the same as the Gooden is a travesty, haha. Very small sample size so far though, I'm very curious to see if we see any more major hits.
Another great vid and I thought Classic Wax won in a landslide although the Stan the Man card was my fave!! The Boggs RC appears sharp and centered too....looking forward to Round 2!!!
LOVE this! What a great idea. I've been a Repacked Wax customer for quite a while, but have been interested in how they compare to these other two players. I'd be interested to see you add cost per card into the calculation as well. Thanks for the video!
I enjoy this kind of video. I wish you had told us the cost/pack so we know which one is a better value. Also I definitely have a different definition of a hit than you do. But I suppose we all do. Good video.
I like repack packs, I am even a sucker for Fairfield. I have not seen the Golden Lion before. I would give more points for vintage over named player but that is just me. The gold cards should be a 1 pointer. Should get negative points for Triple Play, Pinnacle, Spotsflics, & doubles. I had Repacked Wax as the winner.
I'm thinking of all the crap cards I unloaded on Marketplace getting turned desirable again by just repackaging them. This hobby will never die, but lives for the wrong reasons.
Great Video!!! I'm a new subscriber!!! I really like your content and, if you take the time to read my comments on your last (2) videos of this you will see what I like. Sorry I'm not going to put so much into this effort as I watched your second video from this series first, then the third and, now the first. I just wanted to make sure that if my comment gets picked you give my Winnings Away to a Kid Card Collector You Know!!!! Thanks
Not sure how it would be BS. All of the boxes (and the packs inside them) are completely sealed by the companies. Unless, you think I somehow conspired with each company and said, "hey, send me loaded boxes," which I suppose a channel could do. If that's the case, I'm truly flattered, but trust me, I'm no even close to important or relevant enough on RUclips to pull that one off!
I wasn't even aware that companies specializing in repackaged old cards existed. Fun!

Great idea comparing these boxes!
Thanks Sniper!
Overall interesting watch.Keep making these videos.
I love repacked Wax...
Fun idea. Love the matchup.
Good stuff, thanks for sharing and showing off the products!
No gum. I like the Orosco and Gooden.
Oops, Palmeiro's rookie cards are '87 Topps and '87 Donruss
Yeah, I made a couple miscues like this. Often hard to remember it all as I'm going along.
@@blastfromthepastvintagecards No problem, it happens. I just enjoy watching, I thank you for showing!

Evenly matched products. Good idea for a video. I like the vintage stuff the best. We'll see who has the most at the end.
Awesome video thanks for sharing

This reminds me of my younger days buying wax packs.
These are cool love vintage cards.

Some good rookies.. Like that Musial aswell
Reynolds was fun to watch.
I've only seen the big hits come from Repacked Wax. looking forward to see who wins.
Nice idea for the comparison. Especially helpful for folks thinking of getting one of them.
It is refreshing to watch a break and glad that someone can at least pronounce the names correctly!
LOL, thanks - though I can't ALWAYS guarantee I won't botch a name or two. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, I sort of whiffed on the Kaat.
Been thinking about opening one of these repacked products myself. I love opening packs, and I love vintage. This is gonna help me out a lot!
Interesting concept.

That misspelled Jim 'Katt' card was pretty nice.

Thanks Ken. Ah, that's probably a good idea (though I've already filmed/edited these). Maybe I will update the description with the links for each.
@@blastfromthepastvintagecards It was just an idea if you ever do it again.
Good stuff!😊

As info, Tommy Herr's rookie card is an 80. 82 was his 3rd year.
Man I love wax packs!
This is COOL!!!
Never open golden lion I might try one
Repacked Wax definitely does a nice job packaging this "grab bag" product. Still has a bit too much junk wax era stuff for my taste, however.
I feel in classic wax you get a little less commons and more star names
hope these boxes didn't cost much. The bang wasn't big enough!
Why do you buy those boxes
Maddux rookie ain't bad
'88 topps palmeiro = hit? who's in charge of the scoring?
A few good cards worth basically nothing.
Your baseball card videos are good but your baseball card knowledge needs to be better.

Golden Lion is not that great. Repacked wax is normally pretty good.
You need to study up on your baseball card knowledge. There is no 1992 topps tiffany
sorry there is no way some one that isnt opening this on RUclips gets all these cards.. sorry I call BS.
