Like in magnesium oxide we have both valencies as 2 (+ and -), so we cancel the valencies out and present it as MgO, just like that in it we were trying to cancel the valencies of Al and NO3 but we couldn't as one was 3 and the other was 1, so we wrote it as it is, just interchanged the valencies like Al(NO3)3
