As a stay at home mom, it's great to see how other families do Ebay, especially as we think about expanding our family & wondering how we can still do the business. Thanks for sharing!
Oh ... and I putt all my clothes into the cold ! dryer for about 5-10 minutes ( tags don`t get hurt ) to remove dust , hair ( animals ) and wrinkles , so that it is not in my house 😀
Congrats on the awesome sales. You are AWESOME for doing all that while pregnant ❤. I always wondered how to offer discounted shipping for bundles on eBay. Do you set that up through business policies?
Thank you! Yes, I believe you have to have a shipping business policy set up. Then there will be an “additional” option where you can set additional items to an order to be a certain price added on top of the business policy. ebay will charge original shipping on the first item and then charge the discounted price you set on each added item :)
Do you wash them before listing them? I'm just wondering how you list them so quickly if you have that many to wash everyday. I ask because I heard you mention washing the clothes at some point. Thanks for the content!
LOVE your videos Carrie. Thank you so much for sharing. Can I ask what you are writing on your packages before you go to the computer to weigh them? Is it the sku number? Thank you in advance! 0:31
Hi Carrie, what do you think about the new Poshmark fee structure? Is it worth focusing solely on eBay? There are rumors that eBay will implement a new fee structure in the U.S. after the new year. I feel like Poshmark will suffer significantly because of the new fees, and there will be even more lowball offers than before. What advice would you give to resellers on Poshmark? Should we focus solely on eBay? And if eBay also implements a new fee structure, what should we do? I think if that happens, it will be very difficult to make any money with a $10-15 profit per item model.
I don’t know much about Poshmark other than their fee structure changed and people aren’t happy. To be honest, I didn’t choose to sell on ebay based on their fees, I chose it based on how large their customer base is. I’m not going to worry myself about potential fee changes for now. If and when it’s actually in motion and going to happen, then I’ll take the time to see what’s going on and if I need to adjust anything. Until then, I’ll be doing the same thing I’ve been doing and not add unneeded worry onto my plate :)
Wow fantastic sales, you two make an awesome team! Now get some rest Carrie 😂 being pregnant is hard work, my youngest baby is 5 months old and the lack of sleep is still so rough.
Wow, congratulations, that's an amazing start to Q4! You might have to start packing orders on Saturday or Sunday to reduce your Monday workload. Its not more work, its greater success!
Hello Carrie! 😊 Just found your channel! Subscribed right away❤ I'm also selling a bit on Ebay, but not so much as you guys 😅 Can I ask you a question? All cloth you store in clear plastic bags. How do you call them? Where can I buy that bags? What size you use mostly? Thanks in advance for a reply! Good luck with sales! Taras 😊
Hi Carrie! Thanks for the video. I want to ask you a question regarding the dimensions on the packages when shipping. Let's say I have a 10X13 polymailer ... would measure the height once the jeans are in? How would you do it?
@@carrieathome LOL That's impressive! Took me nearly 2 hours to do 28. I did have some bulky large items but this video will help me so much. THANK YOU!!!
Love your channel. How long were you in business before you started selling close to the same amount you were listing a day? I'm feeling stuck. I've been listing 5 new items a day and then re-listing some 90 day old items (stuff listed off season) rather than pick up new inventory. I'm only getting maybe 2-3 items that sell daily. Is that normal or should I just go all in and list 10-20 new a day?
The thing with scaling is if you have the cash flow to do it. Cashflow depends on your profit margin and sell thru. You’ll need to calculate how much margin you have for the scaling. Last thing you want is to put your dollars in a bunch of items everyday that are sitting on the shelves and your cash dries up. I typically only bump up 5/day at a time. I can’t remember when I reached the threshold where I was listing and selling the same amount. But I do know you get there quicker with better quality items priced at a competitive price.
Just curious do you sell flawed jeans? I bought a buyout but 10-15 are flawed like frayed cuff, bleach stains, some small ripped areas etc? I have trouble wanting to list those
It really depends on the flaws and the brand. Some brands allow leeway for flaws like Carhartt if the flaws aren’t affecting the function of the item. Most brands though don’t have leeway for flaws and it really hurts the value.
How do you handle a dress changes after purchase? I’ve been averaging selling only about 30 items a month in the last two years, and I’ve only had one person ask for me to change their address. When I look it up, it doesn’t seem safe to change it yourself because if something were to go wrong, it would be on the seller. I had the person purchased after I canceled the order and relisted with their correct address. Do you recommend a different way?
@@carrieathome oh no don't do this. It happened to me. They requested an address change, so I did it for them and they claimed they never received the item and got a refund. Now if they request an address change, I cancel the order for them and ask them to change it themselves and then reorder the item. I had a message from the buyer to change the address and Ebay still sided the buyer! :/
@@andreaaguirre5888 I had misinformation so thank you for saying that! I just had a request to change the address so I asked eBay what the policy was and they said to confirm with buyer that you can ship it to the current address on their order or cancel the item so they can repurchase with the correct address. If the buyer doesn't respond by the time you have to ship, then continue with shipping to the address on the order.
Oh... hello from Germany ... you said you are pregnant ... did you know that it is better to take the adresse from the paper and cut it at the end of the work . --- each time you pull of the piece of adresse it makes dust . That goes in your nose , over the inventory and into the printer and harms it .... Sorry for my German-English
Don’t get so down about the 311 hoodie. I’m sure it was just all mixed up. Not a beautiful disaster, but rest assured amber is still the color of your energy.
Haha! Well, I know it’s mean, but I probably would’ve canceled the sale if I caught it before shipping and just acted like it got stained and then relisted it within the next week for what it’s worth

If you wash your stuff and prep it ahead of time, then when it’s time to photograph, you have a pile of stuff ready to go.

Wow 100 items you Americans really do smash it. Fellow reseller from England
Consider some kind of cart to push instead of toting the tote.

You might want to double check that baby swing. I think it’s on recall.
