3:07 i do not recommend spending gems on tactical class (as someone who's currently at lvl 134) reasons: at the start skills don't really matter since every ship can clear first worlds at the start your team will only consist of max 6 shipfus which means 1\3 will upgrade their skill at the moment which is good for starting (since default is 2 slots) there's a really close point where you're going to start lvl skill from ships that you like, but don't really use,to the point where u give books to those that are left it might be slow at start but trust me, it is far better to save those gems, because eventually it will be useless or on other part you will struggle to get skill books since you will be using more than you can get eventually using maybe 1-2 slots because you don't have more at the end you will be using at max 27 shipfus in certain moment which's skill could be upgraded easily with only 2 slots saving those gems Dock slots? Yes, if you like to collect, you can get 100% as f2p (excluding those that might never come back like nep) to the point where you will start saving cubes without problem, which means having to unlock a few more space dormitory? Nice guide, but I'd argue that the tactical class expansion is not something you should prioritize in investing gems into. You only need a small number of ships to make up your core fleet as you level up, and even events only add 2-3 ships that can be considered to be fully maxed based on their effectiveness, and therefore I find that having the default 2 slots is plenty. You need dorm slots because you eventually may want to max out everything for the fleet tech, and port slots so that you can afford to not retire the characters you may like, but there's no real long term advantage of having 4 tactical training slots available. Sure you technically max out the core fleet's skill faster, but after that they are more of a dead investment as you do not need anyone else maxed on skills. Just my two cents though. Again, great work on the guide! 👍
even though i’m not really a “beginner”, a lot of the strategies I still use were back when I was just starting out (for example, I made a fleet that was full of my strong ships meant to deal with the boss AND the mobs, and sort of neglected my 2nd fleet until recently.) This video still helped me tremendously, and I look forward to seeing more content from you, you’re the only person i’ve found that is making easy to understand tutorials that aren’t years old. best F2P gacha game out there rn fear needing to spend money into the game don't worry most ships are obtainable through the gacha or other means and someof the best ships can be obtainable by other means and alot of reruns are soon to be added to the permanent build pool and if you think the game too tedious bruh we literally have an auto farm mode and trust me when i say the devs of this game are super generous like no joke

Hi I’m a new player and one thing that I find hard to understand that wasn’t covered in this video was how to obtain and complete the lab or creating the ships that are locked in the shipyard and what all that means
The PR ships you mean? First you need to be Commander Lv 30 to unlock the feature. Afterward, you need to collect what is called "Fleet Tech" that you can gain primarily by collecting and fully limit breaking the ships of the same nation, except for PR 1 series which requires a number of ships with the same hull and nationality unlocked instead. For example, you want Anchorage and you're at least Lv 30 already. now you need to collect Eagle Union Fleet Tech points. Let's take Hamman for example. unlocking her for the first time nets you 5 points. Fully limit breaking her gives 10 points. There's another milestone in which you need to get her to Lv 120 for additional 8 points but let's say you don't have the resources to go that far yet. That's 15 points from Hamman. To unlock Anchorage for construction you'll need a total of 800 points so you still got a lot of work to do. Don't worry though as the bigger the hull and the higher the rarity, the more fleet tech you'll gain from the ship. North Carolina for example gives 60 points. Note that you can only get the points once from each ship with the same name, so you can't train 3 North Carolinas for 180 points for example. Next comes the construction part. You'll be given a task every 24 hours for about a week. You can of course take as much time as you like doing them, as they're just there so you can't speed run the construction in a day. I won't go into detail on the tasks, you should see them on your own. Lastly, once the construction is finished, you can claim the ship, but she's nowhere near combat ready yet. PR ships do not use Bulins for limit breaks like other gacha ships. They instead use "Blueprints". This you'll get primarily from the research lab and is the real time gate for PR ships. Fastest I got a PR ship to a fully maxed out stats from construction is in about a month and a half. Some of the older series of PR has this system changed so you can spend coins to speed up the process though. So if you think this is such a huge time and resource investment then you're right. PR ships are often among the strongest ships by the time of their release and a real game changer, mostly... (looking at you, Izumo). So they're actually made hard to obtain as they're essentially the endgame units. So if you're new then don't force yourself to obtain them right away. They'll always be there and you can tackle their missions slowly. Sorry for the wall of text and have fun!
@@datlynn781 Good breakdown of the PR ships. I would add that some of the PR ships are really good, but others (particularly from PR1 and 2) have been power crept as time has passed. The rainbow ships from this system require a lot more blueprints than the gold ships, but really are some of the best ships in the game (Plymouth/Agir for example). The Research Academy is a good way to get ship blueprints. Azur Lane is a fun game. Good luck!

L2D skins are pretty pricey gem wise. If ur f2p id advise investing your gems elsewhere.

If you are low on money but have a lot of time and want to catch them all, unlocking only the first dorm floor and the rest on dock space is fine.

"sweep the banner" means to obtain all the new characters on an event. The amount of cubes needed to do that is varied on your own luck tbh
