- HELLO this is my final for my 3D intro course... animation/compositing/grass/berries are all mine but the character rig and low poly trees and bushes are borrowed assets so don't give me credit for em!
This was an Experience to make and I learned a lot both from my previous exercises and from everything I had to conjure for this. I barely touched 3D before this class so I'm super glad to be over the initial learning curve now! I also learned that the rendering process is hell on earth please do not ask me what it took to get this out of maya

Thanks for your support on this!! I was a little uncertain about how well 3D would be recieved since my usual medium is hand-drawn 2D but I'm glad people like it! I might experiment a bit more on my own time when I get the chance!

Very nicely animated. I like facial expressions, as well as how realistically "animalistic" the movements of the creature feel, particularly in the shot where it looks at the berries.

Dude your colors are ON POINT!!! You did a really good job rendering the lighting and the mood of this scene, and it really makes it feel natural in a way I haven’t seen in a lot of 3D animation. Love it!!!

Can’t understate, this is amazing, gorgeous, just absolutely amazing. The animation is smooth yet crisp with the simple background and ream-like colours, with the 2d making the 3D stand out more in the best way possible. Just amazing! So impressive for a a small channel as well.

Thanks so much! It is a PAIN to get the rendering set up well... 6+ hours of troubleshooting at least for this.
@@EtherealFlicker not to mention when the render preview takes at least a full hour when u just need to see if that one light is right 💀
@@xxchocoecaramell Ugh yes... you have to turn the sampling settings way way down when you're actually working even though it makes all those fireflies pop up

I hate RUclips, it's trying to turn me into a furry, despite the fact that I've been clicking "not interested" for several years
LMAO quit commenting on “furry” videos then? Also, this isn’t even… what??? The character there isn’t even anthro, it’s just a fantasy species of animal. I don’t really see what’s so bad about being a furry anyway (seeing as it’s basically a subcategory of cosplay where you dress up in an animal suit), but even so, if you really don’t want to, no video is gonna change it anyway.
